This place is wonderful! Our server was Ryan and he couldn’t have been more knowledgeable about the entire menu! Their beer selection alone is like 5 pages! We brought the in laws and from beginning to end the experience was wonderful. I had the lobster risotto and my other half had the short rib(you could have cut it with a spoon !) and my father in law had the lamb said it was amazing! Can’t wait to go back!

This is a very interesting place to eat. The cocktail, wine and beer list is huge. As are the choices of tapas or the regular lunch or dinner. The food here is inventive and oh so yummy! We will definitely come back here many times.

Earlier in the week a wine merchant told me this was where food was really something special in the Pawley’s Island/Litchfield area right now. I’d passed by a few time but it didn’t catch me attention, but the Unilocal reviews were all favorable, so I dropped in. Man, was that a fortuitous conversation. This place really is special. I highly recommend going on-line beforehand to study the menu. The wine list alone is extensive, and if you aren’t familiar with this type of cooking they explain it on-line and in the menu. Well worth reading. Then, be sure to order the mushroom appetizer. It has a fancy French name, but just remember mushroom appetizer. Savor it. Incredible flavors. Never had anything like it. The crab soup is not she-crab, or even a version of it. It has leeks and sun-dried tomatoes that sweeten it, which goes well with slivers of garlic. Delicious. I ordered the duck breast, which was excellent. I’m still thinking about those mushrooms, though. Eclectic decorating which I liked. First-rate service.

My other half and I went here for our anniversary on our vacation in August. Both of us being culinary professionals, sometimes we don’t enjoy restaurants, because well, good food is hard to come by. Perrone’s was by far the best meal either of us has ever paid for. For apps we had the special cheese plate(delish!!!) and the tartare. Both were excellent and made us want to order the next course even more quickly. Taylor had the lobster bisque, blue cheese salad, both of which he loved. I had the Caesar. Both salads were fantastic! The dressings were clearly made by knowing hands. While we waited on entrees I had sangria and he had an old fashioned. For entrees, I had the lamb… It was to die for and cooked to perfection! And he had the duck. Everything was cooked perfectly and Taylor even had the chef chose his beer to pair with dinner. He said it was a wonderful compliment to the flavors of his meal. For dessert we had the chocolate cake, which was the only thing about the entire night I would label as simply«ok». However, they don’t make their cake in house, and everything else was all in house scratch made product. I very much loved the décor and I LOVED the hanging glass ornaments inside. So retro! The outside might not look like much, but it’s truly«bigger on the inside». Our server was FANTASTIC!!! She never let our glasses run dry, or our bread basket empty, and her personally really complimented the entire feel of the restaurant. Witty, fun, but never pretentious. Our next visit to Pawley’s will surely bring us to Perrone’s. Our visit here was the best night of my life, certainly considering after our wonderful meal, Taylor popped the question! :) of course I said yes, after food like that you’re ready for anything!
