Fantastic food. Fantastic service. Great view out on porch. Nice kids play area while you are waiting.

Our first time here. Loved the ambiance and the booths are very comfy. VERY nice waitstaff. Our favorite dishes were bam bam shrimp, shrimp and grits, fried oysters and crispy stuffed shrimp.

This is the best fried seafood that I have had in the Pawleys area. The seafood platter is very large and I like the light batter. We also had a large group of 10 and they put us at a large round table which allows everyone to talk.

Heard about it so we stopped in for a bite. What we got was a wonderful banquet instead. Fresh seafood cooked just right and the price was bad at all. They need to keep that chef that’s for sure

Service was decent. Food was just kind of meh. Crab cakes, salmon, steak, and shrimp wasn’t very good. The wife and I are great cooks and are hard to please. What was good was the oysters Rockefeller. Those tasted great.

Delish!!! So glad we ventured down from the marsh walk and away from the crowds. Sat out on the gazebo deck for dinner after 8pm on a Saturday night. Blackened crab stuffed mahi and fried shrimp is what we ordered. Wonderful. Served fast and hot. Best shrimp on the inlet. Crisp and lightly battered. And beautiful scenic overlook as a backdrop for dinner was great! $ 3 domestic beers &$ 4 blue moons served up ice cold. Highly recommend!

Hubby & I think that the price was worth every bit for dinner… for dessert key lime pie. And to James our server did an absolute wonderful job… We will be back!

Yummy seafood, perfectly prepared. The crab cakes are rock-solid with very little filler and good-sized portions. The Maple Ginger glazed salmon is my daughter’s new favorite; and the Low Country boil pots were huge and awesome. Prices are reasonable and service is fantastic. Oh, and did I mention the gin and small batch tonic? Just get in the car now!

Overall a pleasant experience. James, our waiter was awesome. I would prob give 3.5 if I could– I rarely give a 5… So here it is: Lobster Mac n Cheese is not worth it. More like Fried Mac n Cheese. Lobster was hard to find in there. Char-grilled grouper was very good, lobster risotto was good, once again the lobster was in name only.

Been here a few times over the last two years and let me tell you it’s legit. I like to get one of the«boil» and they are fantastic. Great service and everything is amazing. Highly recommend.

We went to Hot Fish Club last night to get our fish fix on. The place was packed. Heather was behind the bar and took care of us, however, I did have to take a star away because of our food last night. We started with the Oysters Rockefeller. They were so small I wasn’t even sure there was an oyster in there. I did not taste any bacon or cheese, just spinach. Next we got the crab steam pot. One of my favorite because it has crab legs, shrimp, mussels, clams, oysters, sausage, potatoes and corn. I call it lotta pot. My crab cluster was overcooked or had been around for awhile because it was very difficult to crack the shell, when the meat came out it was rather chewy.(Mike said his cluster was fine.). The shrimp, mussels and clams were overcooked also. I was so disappointed. Would I come back here? Yes I would. I think someone had an off night but if it happens again — well, we’ll see.

Love this place, great seafood, But, decided to try their signature dish, Lobster Pot Pie, supposed to be packed with local seafood? Had to send back this one, more creamy sauce and puffy pastry than seafood! Small tiny tiny grub like shrimp, could not find scallops, small portion of lobster, very disappointed, would not order it again until they get this one right. For 23 bucks, should be packed high full of seafood, and use local caught big shrimp. Anyway, I’m back to try other items on menu.

Ambiance is 5 stars. An absolutely gorgeous setting with spectacular waterway and marshland views. Location is also 5 stars with plenty of great music venues, bars, shops and outdoor walkways easily accessible. But I expected better in terms of food and service. The seafood is above average but not great. I felt profits were put in front of quality and value. And a minor detail but telling was that I ordered a local IPA and it was served in a can! No glass and not that cold. As for the service, it was friendly but business like and seemingly scripted. And too fast. Food arrived within minutes so I felt like they were more concerned with flipping tables. That said I’d probably return but not to eat. I’d have a drink in the outside bar overlooking the waterway. And maybe have an appetizer.

This place has everything going for them: location, hungry patrons willing to wait, an outside tavern/club, a fantastic view, and a wide selection of seafood(not just overpriced«Calabash» which so often is the hook. Yuck). We chose to sit at the bar to eat thereby avoiding the 45-minute wait. Heather took great care of us, the food came out as requested, and was priced reasonably. My wife’s mother ordered the fish and chips(a favorite); the cod was lightly coated and cooked perfectly. We ordered the sampler platter and thought it was well prepared(grilled v. fried). Our one regret is that we did not order the lobster pie. Platter after platter of them came from the kitchen and even though full, we salivated as they passed by. Next time!

My Bride and I spend several long weekends a year at Surfside Beach. We discovered the Hot Fish Club last year and have made a point of dinning there at least once during our stay. The food is just Amazing. I have been working my way through the menu and it has been a great experience ! The Lobster Pot Pie is just awesome !! This time I had the Grouper with spinach and lobster risotto. It was wonderful… The fish was flaky and perfectly cooked. The risotto was awesome. My Bride had the Snow Crab Legs which she devoured. If you are anywhere in Myrtle Beach, The Hot Fish Club in Murrells Inlet is worth the drive! PS: They do take reservations…

This is by far my favorite restaurant at Murrells Inlet. Everything I have tried has been amazing. I come here all throughout the summer, and I’m never disappointed. I had the Crab Legs and Grilled Veges tonight. …, amazingly good!!! Crab legs were cooked to perfection! Service is always good. Great view of Murrells Inlet. I highly recommend this restaurant to anybody looking for some good seafood. You won’t be disappointed! I plan to be back many many times!!!

Love this place cause it’s far enough away from the crazy mega bar/restaurants in Murrells Inlet and based on this one visit it’s very good. We did not have reservations but there was seating in the bar area on a first come basis. Lucky for us we were there early enough that there was some seating available. There is no view of the marsh from the bar but the food is king here. I had the Seafood Cloppino which was a ½ of a 1lb. lobster, shrimp, scallops, clams, mussels and fresh fish in a spicy tomato sauce that was fabulous. I loved the portion, price and the spicy sauce along with the garlic bread for sopping up the sauce. Our other dinner was the Blackened Mahi stuffed with Crabmeat served over spinach and grits. The portion was huge and there was actually crabmeat in the stuffing. Great flavor especially for a guy who doesn’t care to much for grits. We had great service and also happened to be there during ‘happy hour’ which gave us our well cocktails at half price… love that. Clean restrooms. Open Tuesday thru Sunday for dinner only. Opens at 4pm. There’s also a Gazebo where they have live music on the weekends and more ‘happy hour’ fun. Will be back. .
