As a chef, when I go to the beach I want seafood, as good and as much as possible and this place was awesome! My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the quietness of the establishment. We really liked the food, the crab legs were perfectly cooked and the swordfish was amazing! They have a large salad bar and almost every kind of seafood you can imagine. Honestly so full by the end but I’m already planning my trip back! Also really love how clean it was! Not bad at all for $ 28.99 and if you check in on Unilocal you get $ 5 off!

Great buffet for price, very entertaining atmosphere, grab legs where cooked just right and the rest of the food was delicious too.

Went here on a MB vacation. Was the only seafood buffet place with decent reviews. Wanted to go to a place that offered unlimited crab legs, but all of the places on Unilocal has terrible reviews. This place wasn’t too far out, but definitely further than the others. But the drive was worth it. It had a very Ma and Pop feel, which we loved, and the food was excellent. You can tell nothing was sitting under the heat lamp for long, and all the food was perfectly prepared and not overwhelmed with spices or butter. Will definitely come back next time!

Not a huge fan of buffets, but when you are at the beach and want every type of seafood, this place does the trick! My family and I scoped out some other restaurants in the area, and after seeing the prices for one entrée at some of the other places, decided it would be best to go the buffet route. Plus the Unilocal reviews were pretty good. It is expensive, so only go if you are really hungry! I was impressed with the selection of items. Especially the salad bar, although I probably filled up on that too much in the beginning. They had a range of grilled seafood, fried seafood and even steak and chicken plus crab legs and prime rib. Everything tasted good, although items like the salmon and steak were a little overcooked for my taste, probably because they had been sitting there for a while. I was disappointed in the service. The front desk host was very friendly and accommodating though. For a server who’s only job was to keep our drinks refilled and clear plates, ours did not do a very good job. He seemed more interested in socializing with the other waitstaff. We were often waiting on refills. All in all it was a cute place and a nice vacation dinner. Not something I could eat all of the time but it was a fun family experience and we felt we got our moneys worth.

I wanted crab soooo bad and this place was recommended by a friend. We were overjoyed when we seen the selection! I was so excited that I literally had 5 plates in front of me by the time I sat down. I needed to try a little of everything… but this wasn’t even close. And the crab legs… holy wow! I ate and ate and ate! When all was said and done… I didn’t want to see another piece of seafood. That is… until a few nights ago when we went back! The first visit the food was spectacular… hot and overflowing. The place was crowded but not obnoxious. I had a great time. The second visit there were very few people and the food was good but the fish station was less than desirable. Only a few hard pieces. I was slightly disappointed. Would I go back? Oh yes! And if you go to one of the grocery stores in the area… pick up a coupon booklet… inside they have coupons for a discount off the meal. We saved $ 4 the second visit. We wouldn’t have known if the waitress hadn’t told us about them on the first visit.

We weren’t sure when we looked over the buffet but were pleasantly surprised. Everything we had was delicious. I would suggest it to everyone.

Hands down best quality I have seen in this area. Not as much of a selection but everything on the buffet was perfectly prepared!

As far as seafood buffets in the area go, this is by far the best for the price. We had never eaten here before, but when we got into town on Monday night we stopped in for dinner. We were so impressed we went back on Saturday before we left. They have the freshest fried food and amazing crab legs. We will definitely eat there next time we are here!!!

Great selection of food a little pricy but I would go back again. They have just about everything you could want on the buffet.

So we were in the mood for a variety of seafood and just felt a buffet was the only solution. Many of the big guys had over 100 reviews and was rated 3 or less. These guys had less than 10! So we thought it could be far enough off the beaten path to not be touristy. We hit the jackpot! Impeccable service. Waiter showed up every 2 min with exactly what we needed. The crab legs were the best I have ever had. Great oysters. Great friend scallops. My wife has never liked crab legs in the past, and she started grabbing them from my plate! Huge selection of deserts. Great atmosphere. Drive the extra 2 miles through Muriel’s Inlet and its on the right past all the touristy places. The other REALLY cool thing was we got there at 5:30pm and had NO wait!

My cousin and I arrived at 430pm on Friday and we got seated right away. This place been around for years and has best prices and seafood. The buffet has fried selection of shrimp, oysters, scallops, fish and chicken. They have baked mahi mahi and salmon along with mini seafood cakes, seasoned French fries, hush puppies, beef tips, Italian sausage and more. The cold bar has oysters on half shell, shrimp, mussels and crayfish. The best is the giant fresh crab legs seasoned to perfection and hot butter. The prime rib was displayed well. They have small dessert bar with puddings, fresh fruit, cakes and cookies. Also a salad bar with chicken and seafood salad. The price is $ 27.99. There are coupons in Monster coupon books that are located in most Food Lions entrances buy one buffet get the second half. There is a typo saying 3pm-4pm but can be used 4pm– 5pm. Two people with drinks is $ 52.00 with the coupon.

The seafood selection here is amazing! Oysters, shrimp, scallops crab cakes, crablegs, salmon, tilapia, stuffed mushrooms, peel-n-eat shrimp, oysters on the half shell, mussels, etc There are also other sides and dishes, but I are all the seafood, fried, steamed and stuffed! For this to be a buffet the food is pretty good. It was fresh local seafood, and the salad bar was pretty good also. The drinks are also reasonably priced. It is a casual atmosphere, kid friendly, great for big parties I believe there is even space for a private party??? Again the seafood selection is really good and for the price $ 27, it’s a deal. They also offer several discounts, senior, locals, military …

I am just very angry about the other reviewers leaving unfair reviews because they can’t control their eating habits! If you’re disappointed it’s a buffet go somewhere else and don’t badmouth this restaurant.

Watched the big face lift on this place which was abandoned when we first moved into the neighborhood. Watched in anticipation as the place got cleaned up and opened a few months ago. What a let down when I found out it was an all-you-can-eat feeding trough and it could be had for $ 25.95. Wow… that is a pretty hefty price to pay for a meal, when you are watching you calorie and want to enjoy seafood but don’t want to feel you have to gorge yourself to get your money’s worth. One look at what was on the buffet and I scratched my head wondering why I didn’t drive a few miles up the road to the Golden Coral where I could have had the very same selection for much less. Nothing really special here. Not sure how that got away with stating they have been around for so long… the place just reopened after a long long hiatus. Anyway, if you want to Calabash it… starve yourself for 3 days then hit the feeding trough… just enables those with poor eating habits and gluttons. Recommend: Keep the salad bar… but offer a menu with some fair pricing and decent waitstaff and maybe the place would be better received. But if you keep the buffet, drop the price to under $ 22 per person.

Kind of disappointed, only because it was a buffet, high price and I do not pig out. Maybe I should have but I am trying to watch my girlish figure

Gross, low quality food. Everything comes prepackaged or frozen. No fresh seafood and the prime rib is overcooked because it comes precooked in a bag and is just reheated.
