Corner Bakery

What a wonderful surprise! Great coffee (almond milk too!) and a beautiful selection of yummy baked goods, guacamole, salsa and salads. Loved it!

I just can’t drive by without stopping for something! The custom blend hot chocolate on a cold day or their own store-​made Arnold Palmer in the warm weather. Their selection of beverages go perfectly with the large variety of croissants, muffins, danish or scones! Love it here!

At one time I loved this place but after a botched catering/​cake job at my wedding several years ago and a cancellation or rather a demand that I order a larger cake for my daughter’s birthday in order to get her what he requested (mind you I ordered this cake last week and her birthday is this weekend and they are just now calling me) I am never going here again. Also I won’t send anyone else there either.

I’ve always loved McKinney and Doyle and the Corner Bakery that is attached to it. Always wonderful baked goods and excellent coffee. A few years ago they added the soda fountain to the mix for that little extra «oomph» to put them over the top. But why did I wait until now, almost 5 years after first stopping in as a newly transplanted «local» to Unilocal a review? Well, last week they showed how excellent service can really shine.
Long story short I picked up a cake down in Westchester for my daughter’s communion party (a friend made it so don’t be hatin’!). Silly me forgot to proof read it (it was Friday and my brain was toast after a long day) and I got all the way home before we noticed that a letter was missing. It was way late to go all the way back to Westchester to get it fixed and we had too much to do the next day (which was the actual event). I figured I would stop in and see if they could help. Not only did they but the girl behind the counter (whose name I forgot to ask — sorry!) didn’t even bat an eyelash at the unusual request. The writing was fixed and had I not told anyone, nobody would have been the wiser. Even better, I asked what I owed, and was told I was all set! I couldn’t leave without some goodies of course, and my daughter was one happy camper.
No visit to Pawling is complete without a visit here. Grab some goodies, chill out in the mini park next door or stroll the farmers market on the new village green during summer time. Beats the pants off the hustle-​bustle of city life any day of the week. :)

Sophisticated and unpretentious. Engaging manager Andrew, and very pleasant staffs. Best fish & chips at least 80 miles around, including the English joint in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. See colonial architectures and Gothic barns on Quaker Hill. Sorry, no McMansions.
