Langley’s Laundromat

Oh Langley’s how you have slowly gotten worse and disappointed me a regular customer.
I started going to Langley’s every week about 6 months ago. They were awesome, where else could you get your laundry done for fifty cents a pound? Normally we would drop it off and then come pick it up the next day and it would always be done, neatly folded, in plastic bags and 100% clean. However, lately when we have been picking our laundry up the price seemed a bit higher than usual, but I never questioned it because the people were always nice and knew us by name.
On Tuesday we dropped off our clothes and the lady told as they would be ready tomorrow like usual. When we came in on Tuesday around seven (we had dropped them off at 4ish the day before) she told us the clothes weren’t done yet! She also told me it would be $ 62 all together for my laundry. I looked at my girlfriend and she had the same look on her face. «Really?»
There is a joke my girlfriend and I always have about this place. They have a giant sign on the building that says «Done in three hours» and we always point it out to each other and laugh because they always tell us to come back the next day, but seriously? You have over 24 hours and you don’t get the laundry done? I figured «ok its fine for the price we pay i don’t mind waiting an extra day». Then I started to do the math.
There was no way I had dropped off 124 pounds of laundry between my girlfriend and myself. I don’t even think I own that many clothes! When we went back the next day I asked the girl how much they charged per pound and she told me 75 cents! You would think that if you have increased the price you would advertise it to the people that are there weekly, and that you know by name…
Then I started to do the math again and it came out to about 82 pounds of laundry at that price, once again no way. So we were being over charged easily.
The only reason I am not giving the place one star is because the people there are nice. The fact that they did learn my name and talked to us and joked around gains them a star back, but I will not being going back here because I was definitely being ripped off.
