This is one of those places, after I eat, I shriek, «This can’t be the same place those Unilocalers give four and five stars to?» Unilocalers you let me down! Super clean interior and the nice woman at the front gave a positive first impression, but when I brought take-out to a local friend’s house, I was so embarrassed(understatement). Really low quality ingredients, like the dried-out chewy meat(what was it I just ate?! Didn’t want to really know, tossed the entire carton out after one bite), the cardboard-like pieces of chicken in the supposed«szechuan» dish, the balls of doughy dough with a scant bland filling(fried dumplings), the tasteless eggroll(mostly chopped celery and ?). My first clue: I should have noticed when I asked for extra duck sauce and they threw in an extra handful of plastic packets(of the cheapest, disgusting orange commercial glop) Yuck! We threw everything out and went to Five Guys.

Li Lai Wok is our go-to for Chinese food, hands down. We tried local buffets, and always were disappointed, and then we found this place. Food is always fresh and tasty in more than ample portions, place is very clean and neat, and the lady at the counter is a delight. A definite win!

Went here tonight on the advice of a good friend who has been dining here for years. The place is easy to find with parking in front and on the street. The place was clean with ample seating. I got the cheese wonton with crab and I give it a ten. Got a few main dishes including General Tso’s chicken which also gets a ten. This will be my main place to get Chinese in the future.

I have eaten Chinese food up and down the east coast. When I visit a new Chinese restaurant I always order the same exact thing(Generals Tso Chicken). The Tso chicken in this place is leaps and bounds beyond any other place. Try it you will not be disappointed. I no longer live in Pawtucket but when ever im in the area and if its lunch or dinner time. I head there immediately and pick some up with white rice.

I wonder why they don’t sell chicken wings by the wing Jist a thought coming from New York they always do. A bit costly for a large order of chicken n broccoli n egg roll 11.25 Used to NY prices. But excellent service

For a small little Chinese takeout place in Pawtucket — this place definitely can hold its own. I’ve tried several places in the area since I work around there and by far, this is the best. I’ve only gotten lunch combos — can’t complain as it comes with an egg drop soup, wonton soup, hot and sour soup or eggroll for less than $ 6.25. I’ve had the chicken chow mein(very good sauce with plenty of chicken strips) and the general tso’s chicken. I have to say, their generals tso’s is probably one of the best I’ve had. Nice flavor and very crispy. Fried rice is fine as well. I’ve had both the wonton and hot and sour soup. I like the hot and sour better, there are actually pieces of ground pork in the soup — not many places do that. It’s a bit further out than some other takeout places for me, but I’d gladly drive to get this for lunch.

The best Chinese food, hands down, that I’ve had in the area. Great service, only 10 – 15 minutes to order, huge menu, fairly reasonable prices for huge portions. You HAVE to try their chicken egg-rolls! I used to live 5 minutes from this place and go all the time, I moved in the last few months and will still drive 25 minutes to get it!

I am changing my review. This has been my go to place for chinese takeout for so long and I feel bad. Bad for speaking bad, and bad literally. In the last two months the food quality has dropped to terrible. I had to throw out my rice. I eat simple white boiled rice. It was a wreck. Overdone… cooked and recooked. Brown colors from overheating it. Chicken wings… just wrong. Quality was zero. Cooking method Made them rubbery. Very doubtful they were fresh. I ate a little of those. I now feel sick. Looks like I need a new chinese place.

Best chinese around. I recommend the pu pu platter for two. Although nothing is bad. The service is impeccable. The owner makes it a point to introduce herself. I keep coming back whenever I need my chinese food fix. Check it out. You will not be disappointed.

Like most take out Chinese, if you eat it when it is hot, then this food is very good.

I have been there a couple of times in the past six months. The dumplings are awesome! Lo Mein is very good. We prefer white rice. Good casual Chinese options. Don’t be expecting fancy or very traditional meals. They prepare meals quickly and the price is great. Servings are very large. Don’t plan on eating in the restaurant. Best as take-out.

Take out counter and a few booths with really good food and friendly service. I’m a big fan of their sesame chicken combo that comes with pork fried rice and an egg roll. The portion is big enough for dinner and tomorrow’s lunch. They only lose one star because they don’t have a home made duck sauce, just packets! Call ahead and within 10 – 15 minutes your meal is ready for pick up!

Best Chinese take out! They clearly use better ingredients here than other Chinese food places. I can recommend the shrimp with mixes vegetables. The shrimp are huge and flavorful and the vegetables are fresh and crisp. I call 10 – 15 minutes ahead and the food has always been ready on time. The have the best general Tso chicken I’ve had in the state and the dumplings, crab Rangoon and Lo mein are all notably very good. I used to live nearby in the MA/RI border and despite now living 45 minutes away, I still go back there when I want Chinese food.

Really enjoyed the food from here. Sweet and sour chicken was really good. I don’t think I am a big fan of the egg rolls but they were ok. Food was not greasy at all. Rice actually had chunks of meat and vegetables, you don’t see that too often. My husband ordered the boneless spare ribs. they were huge. He said they were. pretty good(ill have to try them) The prices are right around what you’re going to pay for Chinese take-out. Over all I think I’ll be ordering from them again might be my next go-to Chinese cravings place to go!

This place has the best Chinese Food in Pawtucket. I have tried numerous places and the food here has the best taste and is the freshest. The store itself is the cleanest Chinese restaurant I have ever been in. It’s a tad pricey but worth it. My suggestions is the Generals Chicken with a side of crab rangoons.

Food was good, but we ordered $ 70 worth of food for our office, and were missing one item, $ 5 item mind you, and they refused to replace it for us and called us liars. So needless to say, will not be doing business there anymore.

Simply the best for take-out chinese. Super fresh food that is plentiful and inexpensive. I recommend the chicken with peanuts and the steamed dumplings.

Say what? A quick order Chinese restaurant that serves up delicious Chinese food? Even though Li Lai Wok is a good 10mins from my house and I pass a million other Chinese restaurants on my way there, it’s worth the drive. When you order a combination plate w/fried rice the rice actually comes with visible pieces or pork, peas, and onions(most places will cheap out on the fried rice they give in combo plates). The sweet and sour chicken was all-white chicken in a nice diabetic coma-inducing sweet sauce(yay that I’m not diabetic) and the sticky wings are a good size with a lot of meat to them. They just moved a minute from where they used to be, and now they have 4 – 5 booths and a larger waiting area(also much cleaner than before). Hey Li Lai Wok, you keep it real and I appreciate that.

Best Chinese food in the area! Always ready in 10 min! Cash only. Better tasting than Mon Kou or Shanghai Gardens(both other places are good, but Li Lai’s food is better prepared IMO). Not too much salt or garlic. Definitely get their spare ribs(they have a unique sauce which is far more resembling of actual Chinese ribs). They will prepare anything the way you want it, so I usually ask them to make things more spicy or in a spicy sauce. The desk lady is always nice and always smiling :)
