So they made me wait 15 minutes to be seated for breakfast, the dining room was half empty. Once seated in was informed that breakfast was no longer available. WTF. I came for breakfast and they dragged Their feet so had to order lunch. Service was slow. I will not be coming back.

Had a lunch special hamburger. To readers thinking of ordering it … Don’t bother. It’s the size of a children’s at the price over $ 5. It’s quality was lower than any fast food place. I think the mgmt ought to head over to Wendy, McDonald or BK. They could learn a thing or two about hamburgers that are supposed to be a value.

Friendly’s will always be a favorite even with the bad experiences I’ve had here and at other locations. Sometimes the food is really great and other times it’s bland and gross. Ice cream always has been and always will be awesome. The crowd pleaser is great for groups especially with kids. Prices are average. Servers are usually pretty good. I came here to this location one time with my wife and our two nephews. One is one and the other 3. The three year old is autistic. He doesn’t get to go out often to many sit down restaurants and had just woken up from a nap so he was pretty cranky. We sat down and put him in a high chair. He was fussy, crying and screaming. We tried to calm him down and the waitress even offered to bring his food first. It was very busy so there was still a pretty long wait. We put him to sit with his brother and he calmed down for a couple of minutes then started crying. The waitress brought out oyster crackers for him to snack on and he didn’t want them. My wife ate a couple to show him that they were good and he should eat some but he wanted no part. She brought him to the bathroom to get him away from all of the people and to try to calm him down. The entire time everyone was staring thinking were these horrible people when really we were just trying to bring our nephews out for lunch and ice cream like others were doing with their kids. While my wife was in the bathroom there was a couple maybe in their late 40s early 50s diagonal from us who were giving us dirty looks the entire time. I’m a very observant person. I hear and see things when it looks like I’m not paying attention. The man was talking to his wife, I assume saying how my wife was«greedy and fat and taking all of the kids oyster crackers, no wonder he was screaming and crying». Also, we shouldn’t be spoiling other people’s meals with an upset child. I was beyond angry. The second my wife got out of the bathroom I told her we need to leave now. She was confused but still grabbed the little one and we payed for the drinks and went outside to the car. I explained all of the things the guy was saying to his wife and my wife stormed back in the restaurant, grabbed the leftover oyster crackers went to their table and threw them in his face and had a few words for him. Then we left. We were emotional and hurt. We ended up at sonics. Needless to say we haven’t returned. Not because of the staff but because of the experience. Anyone who has a family member with autism knows how it is and it’s so unfortunate people are so quick to judge not knowing what’s really going on. They ruined what could’ve been a great lunch. We were so excited for the boys to try friendlys ice cream for the first time. I do commend the waitress that day for being so patient and helpful. I hope she sees this and also the jerk who judged my family even though it’s a long shot.

Grandma and I went to F for breakfast on recommendation from friends. I have to admit I did not have high expectations. But, we were pleasantly surprised. It turned out to be a very good breakfast experience. We were seated soon as we walked in. Coffee and tea served immediately. Grandma says the tea service was very good, the water was very hot and there were two teabags provided. I ordered a ham/cheese omelette. It was well prepared and the toast had real butter on it. Grandma ordered a combo with brioche french toast with two eggs over easy. The eggs were prepared perfectly and the french toast was well prepared, a bit crispy and tasty. Service was attentive. Coffee was topped up a couple times. Grandma’s second tea was also very hot as she likes it. It was all a better experience than expected. The bonus of 50% discount makes it a spectacular value for your breakfast dollar.

Their ice cream is great! The problem is their food, it tastes like it was fresh out the microwave. I order a plate of clam strips and I could barely eat it because it taste like rubber. No quality food, it’s more like drunk food.

We felt that this is probably one of the better Friendly’s in the area. Our visit the other night was disappointing. First, it was absolutely FREEZING in the restaurant. I mean, I know it’s summer time, but it was so cold in the restaurant, three old ladies sitting near us had hoodies on and were shivering. It was a very uncomfortable temp especially to eat ice cream! Our appetizer(cheesy fries thing) came out with the meal. It would have been nice to have the appetizer first but oh well. The problem was it was luke warm as if the cook finished it but the waitress neglected to bring it to us in a timely manner because she was too busy joking around with the other staff maybe(which was what was totally going on)? The cheese was congealed. We were seated by the kitchen and the music in the restaurant part was competing with what the cooks were playing and that wasn’t very pleasant to my ears. We did not order ice cream in the end as we wanted to based on the poor dining experience and since it was so cold inside.

Had the lumberjack meal and it was awful. The French Toast tasted terrible eggs were undercooked and bacon tasted old and the resturant smells. Will not be back.

Walked in on Mother’s Day. The restaurant was nearly dead with only a handful of people in mid afternoon. The girl was about to place us in a very noisy section, one which had a bunch of kids yelling and laughing. The rest of the restaurant was near empty, so we asked to sit near the window away from the noise. The girl said they were shutting down those sections. Huh? At 2pm? She placed us near the window anyway, and all the time we were there, they never shut down the section and more people filled in. Not sure why she said that but it was discouraging at first. With plenty of seats, and hardly any patrons, we assumed service would be quick. It was not. We sat at the table for about 10 minutes before someone came up to ask if we needed anything. Yes, a menu would be nice. After receiving that, we chose from the appetizers and waited another 10 minutes to be served. After eating the appetizers, we decided to order ice cream sundae’s. Once they came out, about 10 more minutes, we swallowed them down pretty quick. A three scoop sundae was really two 4 ounce scoops of ice cream, topped with whipped cream. The girl left out the jimmies/sprinkles on top(not sure why either). She also placed the bill on the table. After the sundaes were consumed, we then waited at least 15 minutes for the waitress to pickup the credit card to pay the bill. I don’t understand why we had to keep waiting for service, especially since there were only a few tables filled in the very large restaurant. Overall experience was ok, not great though. I would give a higher rating if the service was more efficient in a slow day of business.

Food quality went way down my wrap had barely any chicken mosyly just chicken finger crumbs and a ridiculous amount of bbq sauce and ranch fries were cold and soggy. Over all cleanliness of the restaurant. terrible! Very surprised they are still in business. Use to be a family favorite. regretfully we won’t be back.

Always love going out to friendly. We walk in, see 4 groups of 3 or more waiting. Understandable as they are larger groups and usually have to wait for tables to open. We see 5 or so tables of 2 open and 2 booths open, wait a few minutes for the hostess, she then tells us it’s at least a 20 minute wait. While we discussed if we wanted to wait, an older couple came in, and they were told it was a 30 minute wait, needless to say we all left.

Out to breakfast this Saturday with my two girls, bright, colorful and clean. There was no wait, they got us drinks right away. The waitress was pleasant. My daughter says that the ice water«taste like motel water»! Well maybe they could get a filter but it’s not their fault. Coffee refill was non existent for 20 minutes, finally left carafe, thank you. Food did come out cold and a bit greasy, but no wait… Ok if nothing else open!

Always had a good meal here for a good price. Not fancy but who cares. Service is always good. Love the ice cream. Great for breakfast or a quick lunch.

Food brings back memories. Very glad they have not changed their classic recipes, although simple. Ordered Chicken Quesadilla with fries. Haven’t been here in probably 10 years and it tastes just the same it always did when I was a kid. Got a custom ice cream with chocolate ice cream, marshmellow sauce, oreos, cookie dough bites, whipped cream, rainbow sprinkles, and a cherry YUM. The server was very nice, his name was Lamar. He was very friendly and witty, and able to keep a conversation with my friends and I while being funny, professional and friendly. He gets 5 stars. The reason this establishment gets 3 stars although I was happy with my visit is that although it is good, I don’t think it is an above average establishment, other than the nostalgia.

Came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. It’s «conveniently» location on 114. I say«conveniently» because it’s on 114. Depending on where you’re coming from, that’s either very convenient, or it becomes experience akin to «Road Warrior». But maybe that’s just because I don’t live in Massachusetts :-) This restaurant has been upgraded. Service was a bit slow, but the waitress was very friendly, and the omelette breakfast and coffee were great. We arrived at 7:45am. It was practically empty. We left at 8:30am, when the mobs were beginning to show up. If you want a quiet breakfast, get there early.

Came here on a Saturday wow it was crazy. Had to wait a while to be sat but it was a Saturday so I expected that. The food is eh but I lurve there ice cream sundaes thats the only reason I come here. Ive been to this location only a few times but this particular time OMG it was filthy, greasy and sticky I couldn’t wait to leave so I could wash my hands and change my clothes/sneakers. Food was all over the floor the tables werent being wiped down. The couple next to us had to clean their own table they looked disgusted by the mess. The service was horrible it took forever just to get our drinks. If I come back I’d make sure to wear old clothes/sneakers but after this gross experience its unlikely I’ll be back.

The wait to be seated was very long, the wait to place your order was longer and the wait to get your food was even longer — given the poor quality of the food, complaining about how long it took to reach you is kind of like facing a firing squad and complaining that the shooters aren’t riddling you with bullets fast enough.

Love Friendly’s! Have to eat here every time we come to MA. For a diner their food is very good. Hubs had the grilled meatloaf and said it was best he’d ever eaten. I had the salad with chicken, apples, bleu cheese and walnuts and it was VERY good. And yummy ice cream for desert!

The food is ok, the ice cream is decent, the staff is(usually) nice and the prices are fair. There is nothing standout here, and the only reason I go back is because my son likes it. If there is one thing that that really gets under my skin here it is the WAIT! You wait for everything, and you always wait to long. Wait to be seated(and sometimes it’s a pretty long wait). You wait for your your food(which usually comes out barely warm). You wait for your ice cream(starting to melt). They are NEVER busy enough to explain the extended wait for everything. I think someone needs to light a fire under the ass of the hostess, cooks and servers. I only gave them that 3rd star is because my son likes it, and I love my son.

It’s Friendly’s. They serve good ice cream and pretty decent food overall. But I give this location 4 stars because I’ve lived in Peabody for years and the staff over the years have always been friendly.(I typed that prior to realizing how cheesy it was). Also, although the rest of the food may range from 2 – 3 stars I always get the Honey BBQ Chicken SuperMelt which is(not healthy) but 4 star delicious! Also the fries and honey mustard are very good. to be honest, I have a soft spot in my heart for this location. Growing up in the area I went here a lot with friends during high school(PVMHS) and one of my first dates when I was falling in love with my girlfriend of 6 years was here, so I can’t help but give this Friendly’s a high star rating.
