The storage facility used to be good 25 years ago. I recently rented a room, the
building in general has seen better days, the lighting is terrible, the place is dirty! the management used to be good but the past two years they has been unreliable! And most of all their rents are very high. I got out just in time before getting whacked with a $ 20 increase!!! Don’t waste time and effort to store your items here!
Extra Space Storage in Danvers Ma. is the best place I found in this area.

Kelly was very efficient, quick and clear with all the details. Very friendly. I noticed people complaining about floods but that only seems to pertain to the outdoor units — they also have indoor units (on the other side) and 2^nd level units within that secure (from weather) building, I feel the customer is responsible for common sense when the option of storing your belonging indoors opposed to outdoors in a state where rain is prevalent is available. I can’t complain, easy access, friendly & pro staff, accessible bathrooms. Freight Elevator that works and amazing Dolly’s that move your larger storage goods with ease thnx Kelly!

I rated 3 stars: one for good staffing, one for secured access and one for the heck of it.
I would only recommend short term storage, after 2 years, anything wool like rugs were ravaged by moth larvae, upolstered furniture gained a special «storage unit odor»…strangely the black sooty Dust developed on top of furniture was an oddity I wasn’t expecting.
If you can chuck your furniture to an antique dealer or donate and start fresh… the $ 4k in storage money wasted, I could have at least replaced the damaged oriental rugs, which ended up in the trash!
