I was driving down the road… HANGRY. Usually there’s nothing to eat around here. I told myself that I was going to drive all the way down the road until something appealed to me. I only drove a block down the road util lo and behold, there was a new bo né place in the area! Bo né is a traditional Vietnamese steak and eggs dish. It’s pronounced«bah nay»… not bone. Haha. For those unfamiliar with it, I highly you try it. It’s nothing crazy(more like a comfort food), but definitely flavorful with pâté and the butter. I ordered the Bo Né Houston and my girlfriend ordered the banh mi sandwich to try. I’d say it’s pretty darn solid. The bo né was good and the sandwich particularly good for the area. Sure, Bellaire has better sandwiches, but this one was excellent. This place excels in their baguettes. It’s especially crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. This place serves many different Vietnamese dishes as well as seafood and some Cajun dishes. Overall, I will definitely be visiting again instead of driving around hangry. I’d recommend this place to all the hangry people in the area.

Ok so the first time I ate at this restaurant(different location)… I did not like it at all… But unless they really piss me off… I give everyone a 2nd chance because don’t we all need them? So here was their 2nd chance… This time I made sure to order the«specialty»! My boyfriend wanted to eat Bahn mi and we did not feel like driving to downtown… So I chose this place because I felt like they would at least have that for sure… Yeah I was wrong… They were not serving sandwiches that day because they were out of bread… –__– however I was still able to order the bo né special which came with bread… So this confused is but I told my boyfriend that maybe it was because they use French bread for the sandwich and this bread is actually a baguette… Lol The special was good… I think it’s the perfect amount of food to be filling without stuffing yourself… The salad is a nice and refreshing touch. My boyfriend got a rice plate and the crawfish… He said the rice was ok… Crawfish was meh… He ordered extra spicy and got medium maybe… And they were probably small to medium size… Oh well he got his fix… So overall… It was good. Not great. Can’t complain much about flavor I was satisfied. I may return… For the special only…

First time in and wow, my taste buds are still in shock. The egg rolls(Cha Gio) are the best I have ever eaten, served with lettuce, cilantro and dipping sauce. The seafood fried rice has sausage, shrimp and crawfish. Once again one of the best fried rice dishes I have tried. Next up, home run number 3,(Com Chien Combo). It is fried rice with Grilled Pork, chicken and shrimp. The pork, shrimp and chicken are all sperate from the fried rice and all three tasted incredible. It has a nice salad with it as well. Last but not least is(Bo Né Houston) which is there signature dish. It is a awesome dish as well. Sizzling steak and sunny side up eggs. Served with a salad, baguette and pâté. Not a huge fan of the pâté but the rest of the dish was worth it. The salad has a simple dressing that is addicting. This is the place you are looking for if you want great customer service and even better food. There are specialty Vietnamese items for sale as well. Give this places a try, your stomach will thank you.

I always wanted to try this place & was so happy to see that it opened in Pearland. I have been there a few times since they opened and will definitely be back. I ordered the Bo Né platter. It comes with french baguette with pâté, a side salad, and the main dish. Super delish! I also tried their crawfish the other night and it was also good. I can’t wait to be back to try other items off their menu.

My new favorite place in Pearland! The owners are really nice and friendly and the food is always great. It is hard to find authentic Vietnamese in Pearland, and I really love that this place opened up so close to my house so I don’t have to drive to Bellaire for Böné. The goat curry with a baguette and extra pâté is my favorite! The menu is extensive though so I keep trying new things and I am never disappointed. Also you can’t beat the prices!

Nice new place In Pearland. Staff super nice. I had the Bo Né platter. Which comes with steak n’ eggs served with salad and pâté/bread. Warning: do not eat all the bread and pâté before the steaks come out! Lol. If you are a pâté connoisseur then you will love this dish. The homemade pâté is to die for. I wonder if they just sell that by the bulk? My kids are good eaters and enjoyed this place very much. If you are in the near by area give it a try. Their Banh mi sandwiches are buy 5 get 1 free which is a steal @ $ 3.50-$ 4.00 each. The baguette alone are very good. I would definitely return.

I’ve always wanted to try bo né because everyone always posts pictures about it. I’ve never been to other locations but this location also serves boiled seafood so I will be going back to try crawfish or shrimp. I got the Bo Né Houston platter which is the most known one with two eggs and steak, it also comes with bread, Asian butter and pâté, and a salad with I’m guessing homemade vinagerete. This plate is kind’ve like a breakfast platter for the Vietnamese. It was okay because the steak doesn’t have enough flavor. For $ 11.50 you get a lot and i was pretty full by the end of the meal. I just give it 3 stars because the bo né is not something I would really return to get. I will try other food on the menu in the future.

FINALLYTHERE’S A BONECLOSETOHOME! I’ve been wanting to try this place for a long time, especially with all the hype on instagram and facebook. I had brunch with my cousins this past Sunday around 1:00PM since I’ve been dying to try it. It wasn’t busy at all, but I assume it’s because no one really knows about it yet since it’s fairly new. Interior: It’s a typical Vietnamese restaurant. There are big windows for natural lighting. There’s also large photos of some of the dishes on the wall near the back of the restaurant, parallel to the cash register. The restaurant was pretty clean as well. Service: The servers were really nice. They took our orders in a timely manner and were professional. Food: Their menu is actually larger than I expected, but we all ordered the the signature dish: bo né. It comes with a salad smothered with their house dressing, hot baguettes with pâté & butter, and the sizzling diced beef and eggs, sprinkled with green onions on top. DELICIOUS. The bread was fresh, soft, and not too hard. It was perfection. So why did I give this place 4 stars instead of 5? 1) The water tasted really bad. I feel like they served us tap water from the sink 2) The bo né was delicious but some of my beef was a little too chewy Other than that, I’d definitely come back to try their other Cajun and Vietnamese dishes.

This place used to be named something else, but recently it has changed! It caught my attention because I have tried the Bone Houston in the Belliare area. I was very excited to see it closer to me now! So today my family and I decided to try it. 1) Their service was great! They were very nice and did not mess up our order 2) It was a very clean restaurant. 3) The food was really good. It is hard to find a decent asian restaurant in our area. We got the bone Houston order and it came out sizzling! We also got bread with it, that tasted fresh. The last time I went to the Bone Houston near Belliare, the bread tasted old and that was really disappointing. It was not like that here. We also got the vietnamese sandwich order and it was also pretty tasty. Should definitely try!

There’s a new restaurant in the space previously occupied by O’Cajcean at the intersection of Dixie Farm Rd and FM518. I wasn’t too excited to try this as I’ve been underwhelmed by all of the other Phở places in the vicinity. This place is still developing itself for their full menu and as of yet there was no Phở to be had. In its stead, today I ordered the Beef Stew and let me tell you, I may not be ordering any Phở for a long time. This was fabulous. A rich and full flavored broth with chunks of tender beef and some veggies like onion and carrots.(the beef may have a little tender tendon but that is pretty authentic to old world cooking) This was so satisfying that I konw I will have trouble ordering anything else for a long time. The manager, Nick, was very helpful in describing the philosophy of the restaurant to serve wholesome, made from scratch, original family recipes. The menu seems to have a great variety of items but he told me the top menu items from the main location in Houston is the steak and eggs, Bahn Mi sandiwch with BBQ pork, and Beef Stew. The menu also includes a shade of the past with crawfish with sides of potatoes and corn. I imagine that may be a seasonal thing. The focus, as I saw it, is more on the vietnamese dishes. I left there with a decison to return and try several more of the dishes. As a side note, I always look to find out if there are adequate and safe gluten free options. I am happy to report that there are. And it’s easy to spot which ones they are. They will begin to serve Phở in the next 2 weeks and I will update my review at that time. The managers description of it with the 8 hours of slow cooking and the multiple times of filtering the broth sounded amazing. To summarize: Beef Stew 5 stars Steak and eggs 5 stars GF and vegetarian options, plentiful.
