Stopped late night because there was a row of classic cars outside. Service was great, price was great, food was great– had chicken & waffles and eggs and hash browns.

Not as good as they were back in the day. Not a lot of people coming in and for a good reason. I had the broiled fish and it was RAW! The food was really not up to par. I’ve had their pies though and they still have that right. I may try again some day. Good luck!

Cozy country rustic style road side café, with its small town charm. I enjoyed a great ½lb burger cooked just right, just as ordered. My gf enjoyed her salad, with its ample portion size and fresh greens. Our waitress was a super sweet little lady with rainbow colored hair! She was a fun departure from the typical quiet country expectation. Our table could have been a touch cleaner for our preference but overall a great time

Great place for home style food not cooked by you! The cooks really know how to properly cook eggs and hash browns are crispy. Try the pancakes and the cinnamon rolls are to die for

Great down home food. Service is a little slow but it’s all good once the huge portions show up! I would definitely recommend.

So, I love small cafes and this place was close to my mother’s house and had decent reviews. I couldn’t decide between three and four stars and decided that because the staff was great, I’d give four. This is not a place I’ll ever crave or call«gourmet», that’s for sure, but the food was good and the pie, even better. Walking in, the place looks old, like a real«regulars» spot where everyone knows your name and you’re greeted by the same friendly waitress each and every time. We WERE in fact greeted by a very sweet woman who catered to our every need. The food came out extremely fast and we had absolutely no problems with any of the staff. 5 stars for them, alone. Now the food selection wasn’t great and I was confused by some of the entrees. They had a small variety so I ended up getting breakfast. They had a «build your own breakfast» which came with two eggs, your choice of meat and either hash browns, grits or biscuits and gravy. I opted for eggs over medium, bacon, biscuits and gravy and hashbrowns. My eggs were cooked perfectly and the bacon was crisp. I wasn’t in love with my biscuits and gravy as the cream gravy was watery and flavorless. The hashbrowns tasted frozen and I didn’t care for those either. My sister had the chicken fried steak and the brown gravy that accompanied it was salty and straight from a can. I LOVED the pie. They have the best chocolate crème I’ve ever tried and their Dutch Apple is to die for. We got some to go and I caught myself mindlessly eating it at 3 in the morning. Absolutely delicious. Overall, I’d be back for breakfast and pie and the friendly atmosphere. The bathroom needs work and I didn’t enjoy the gravy that accompanied the chicken friend steak at all.

We passed this place a few times. bland no seasoning. Fish I asked for grilled was breaded and oily. Stick to dessert. And way too expensive for what it was:(

Great breakfast place! The husband and I loved our meal! The cinnamon roll was giant we HAD to share an take the rest home! I got the cajun breakfast plate. It was very flavorful an delicious! Husband had the hungry plate; it filled him up but he was snagging the sausages off my plate lol. I cannot believe this place is rated so low!!! We will be back!

Update: The General Manager contacted me after my review, and was very apologetic and nice. Made some changes in staff, and asked me to give them another chance. She is trying to do what is right, and you can’t ask for more than that. Will try again.

I’m surprised this place is rated so low. I’ve been here a couple times for breakfast and both times it was great. Love their biscuits, pancakes are huge and fluffy and the chicken fried steak breakfast is HUGE. Servers are also all really nice.

I ordered chicken fried chicken and I got a fried flour pocket encasing a chewy piece freeze dried chicken. The green beans while great for me, we for my two year old and had tons of pepper. The best part of the meal was the rice and gravy, but was clearly canned gravy.

It was a decent breakfast, but their menu is misleading. If you offer certain foods and they’re only available certain days, please specify that on your menu! If I were a mind reader, I’d be rich and seeking breakfast in Hawaii or Fiji or something. It’s annoying to get my hopes up, only to learn that there are all kinds of exceptions. The cinnamon roll was just ok. It was too sweet for me, and like another reviewer mentioned, it didn’t seem remotely fresh. The hash browns, scrambled eggs and bacon were all ok, but there’s definitely better places to have breakfast in the Greater Houston area. My server was nice enough, but it was a bit irritating trying to get her attention while she was chatting with another customer that she obviously knew. I totally get wanting to chat, but she pretty much abandoned me at one point, and part of my order was wrong. Sigh. Since I don’t go to that part of Pearland often ATALL, I doubt I’ll go back. Baby Barnaby’s is my favorite breakfast spot, and it’s much closer to me.

This place is gross. The food is all reheated. The cinnamon roll everyone said to try tasted like sweet plastic with an overwhelming flavor of old non-stick spray. I didn’t think it was possible to make bacon have no flavor: this bacon had no flavor. It was actually precooked bacon, that they decided to cook again(and burn). The biscuits were stale, lukewarm, non-stick spray flavored hockey pucks. Met a friend for lunch. Gave it another try. Thought maybe they were having an off day when I went before. The mashed potatoes are instant. What self-respecting restaurant can’t boil and smash real potatoes? I give up. I haven’t eaten instant potatoes since I was a poor college student, and no way am I paying someone to serve it to me. Apparently these bees are too busy to make real food. Precooked bacon? Instant potatoes? And I’m sure a box had a hand in those cinnamon rolls– no way a restaurant buys precooked bacon(that they then cook) and then makes cinnamon rolls from scratch. Skip this place and go to Whataburger if you need a fast cinnamon roll that badly.

If you follow any of my reviews you know I love non-chain breakfast restaurants. Have driven by Busy Bee for years but never ventured inside. This Sunday after church I decided to give them a spin. I got the chicken and waffle. Came with two tenders, which were flavorless. One was decent sized and the other was small. Both were hard to choke down honestly. The coffee was good thou. Just wasn’t a good overall experience. Might come back some day and try the cinnamon roll everyone raves about.

My family moved to Pearland a year ago and decided we would dine at the Busy Bee. The first couple of times the service was good and food was adequate. However here lately the service have really taken a downward spiral. We went there today for breakfast, we waited a long time for our food, then we did get the food brought to our table cold, I ordered my eggs over hard not sure how they were cooked but definitely not over hard. And to top off this horrid experience the waitress brought us plastic silverware to eat with. This was just totally unacceptable. The floors were full of trash. We will never return to the establishment. If you want a hot breakfast and good service and China utensils go somewhere else.

Busy Bee. Too busy to clean. Too busy to fix the roof which was leaking in the entrance. Too busy to bring us our bill. We had breakfast and I will say the sausage was very good. This place is cute outside but needs a makeover inside.

I’m a big fan of small diners with a classic style and atmosphere. This place pulled me in with its location right next to the train tracks, and the look inside. It is always empty though. Kind of a dying restaurant with all the other places to eat around it. Although the menu had a large variety of food to choose from, I was not too pleased with the taste or quality. Looks like the cooks have gotten a little sloppy. There seems to be a lot of messing around behind the counter. Less than profession staff working here. I ate here twice, giving it a chance for redemption, and I think I’m done. Give it a try at least.

This is my first Unilocal review and you know when it’s someone’s first review that it’s either because the food was SOEXTREMELYDELICIOUS that you had to spread the word or SOHORRIFICALLYNASTY that you had to write about it and warn others… I AMWARNINGYOU UnilocalERS! The food here SUCKS… Real gross stuff. I’m lucky if the macaroni ‘n’ cheese I ordered was last weeks… Definitely microwaved. I ordered the chicken fried steak with the *gags* mac’n’cheese and half baked potato. My husband the chicken parmesan that comes with fries. Our two favorite plates from anywhere BUTHERE now… Everything* tasted like it was food made a week or so ago — refrigerated and reheat, very dull, tasteless. We BOXEDEVERYTHING to-go and got SCREWED for $ 30!!! At least our pit will eat anything… Hungry and waiting on a train? KEEPWAITING, don’t stop here.

Second time coming here, I was not impressed. It was great the first time so I was surprised. I got scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns and biscuts and gravy. The biscuts were soggy on the bottom and had clearly been reheated. The eggs were overcooked and rubbery and the sausage was probably frozen, it tasted that way. I will not be returning unless something improves. My first visit may have been a fluke. Also, the staff was highly unprofessional. They were arguing within earshot of customers and telling customers how«hectic» it was. Very unprofessional. No thank you.
