Legacy Gymnastics Academy, under the direction of new owners, is attempting to attain a higher level of excellence for its employees and students. My three children have attended classes at Legacy for nearly two years now. Since the change in ownership I have noticed many positive changes in the programs and the facility. The programs have been reevaluated and modified in an attempt to streamline progress for the students. I noticed that the program my youngest daughter is in now better prepares her for the skills she will need to have for the next level. My middle daughter has been receiving specific attention to identify and improve her weak areas. She also has been moved into a program that better suits her and offers faster advancement. The staff has always been good at the academy. They should be recognized for their past efforts and commended for redoubling their efforts to make Legacy even better. I have noticed more time being spent giving feedback to the staff. It appears as though there is a real focus on the quality of instruction taking place. The attention to curb appeal, facility mainanence, and facility cleanliness shows. I believe the end result will be better instruction, more achievements, and better gymnasts.

My daughter is 9 and we’ve taken her here since she was 3. She started in the toddler class(Tumblebees) and progressed to the«big gym» where she is now in an Intermediate class. I put my son in the Tumblebees class as soon as he turned 3, and he stayed until he was almost 6. We only took him out because he wanted to try karate. The staff here is regular(always the same faces/coaches), they care about your kids, and they’re very organized with regular emails to update parents on events and deadlines. My ONLY complaint is that in the summer, the place where the parents sit is pretty hot. Also, it smells like dirty feet because all of the gymnasts leave their shoes in that same area. But I’m willing to make some sacrifices for the good of my kids. :)

New to the area so I went in for some info and to sign my daughter up. I filled out the information form and got their class schedule. The clerk said I should bring her in for a trial class and I agreed. I told them that her sitter would be bringing her since the class was right after school and I would still be at work. On the day of the class, I called to verify and then gave sitter the info. She took her to the class and she came back not smiling. My daughter smiled for 2 days in anticipation of this class so this was surely a bad sign! When asked what happened, first the sitter was asked to fill out another form. Somehow they had lost my child’s information form in one week. Umm ok Then the girls were led back in one huge group and allowed to run around, flip around and basically hang out. Unstructured time is not gymnastics instruction people. And to top it all off, the place either doesn’t have AC or wasn’t running it, so they got hot! In January! At least open a window or something. My daughter won’t be going back.
