Descent food, good service, I did like the atmosphere in there. Chips and sauces were good, but other foods lacked a little seasoning. Good experience not best place in area but descent.

ONE OF THE Most AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD Restaurants I’ve eaten at. Been there twice when in the area and been great every time. Only complaint is the serve staff could be a little more attentive always had to flag them down when we needed something. Janice, Salado, Tx

The bar area is way too small, otherwise I may have given an additional star. Food is better than average.

I have been going here for several years and all their food is great. My husband loves their chicken mole. We have never had a bad meal.

We ordered the Delicioso for two and there is so much food on that grill that you can feed 3 or 4 easily! Did I mention that everything was delicious? Grilled fish, chicken, steak fajita, carnitas and shrimp over onions, mushrooms and tomatoes make a carnivore happy! Come with an appetite. The service is great and your food comes out quickly.

In the mood for Tex-​Mex and not wanting to drive far for it brought us to Los Cucos. It’s close by the house and the wait time is never long. They have quite a few locations with the same name, so I’m guessing it’s a chain. We were seated almost immediately after we arrived. The restaurant is really spacious and there is a somewhat closed off bar area for those interested.
I’ve never really had bad service here. Now the food can be hit and miss. That’s where I got my rating from. I like spicy. They have a fajita plate with «diablo» sauce. The first time I had it, I was sweating from every surface on my body. I liked it, but maybe it was just a little out of my league. It took me about 3 days to eat it. Today I ordered a beef fajita chimichanga. It looked like it was just thrown on the plate, but it was tasty. I asked for some diablo sauce on the side because I am a gluten for punishment. This time, the sauce tasted familiar, but the heat was significantly lower. That’s why I said it’s hit and miss. Not very consistent.
For its close proximity to my house and for the most part being good experiences here, I will be back from time to time.

They serve fajitas here on hot plates with unprotected handles. This is a dangerous practice and a hazard for patrons. What if a child reaches out to touch it? My dad touched the handle to move it (naturally forgetting it was hot) and then my mom accidentally brushed up against it. Both were burned. Nancy the manager came over and said it was our fault for touching it. No apologies and poor attitude. Don’t go here.

Disappointed with the quality of food. The chips and salsa no bueno. The fountain drinks were the worst! The Chile con queso had a thin consistency and tasted bland. My entrée the brisket flautas were tasty but I didn’t like that I had to order rice as a side item. Service was okay, no major complaints. Overall the experience and atmosphere was okay.

Came here and I will not be back. The place is practically Antarctica. Ordered the Beef Fajitas and the meat was ok but the tortilla was hard to chew. Their lemonade tasted watered down and nasty. We had a large family room and the ac unit above us was dripping down water onto the seats and tables. It was disgusting. The service was ok, nothing special so all in all not a very good experience at Los Cucos. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, I will not be back.

Business partners and I ate here for lunch. The food was good but it was pricey just lunch. Verde enchiladas and their beef burrito was awesome! Again, bring your wallet!

Music too loud. Fly buzzing our table. Service not great. Will not go back. But green sauce was good!
We had Mexican Chalupas. Good but corn tortilla shell was tough not crisp. Grandchild wanted milk. No milk!

First time here and will be back.
Had the Del Mar and it was great.
I’m not normally a fan of rancheros beans but theirs has a very good flavor.
The service was also very good. My tea hardly got past half empty.

Service was horrible!!! Dirty facility. Our waitress mentioned that she had a party of 30 so that’s why she was slow. We waited 20 minutes after requesting the check. I had to talk to Joshua DeMouy, manager. Needless to say, all we received was an apology. This establishment sucks at customer service!

I received a rix of raw and cooked meat in my beef fajita chimichanga!!! This food doesn’t even deserve one star. I will never come to this location ever again.

Never disappointed in the food or margaritas however on today’s visit I wasn’t too pleased with my waiter, I can understand if the place was packed but a Sunday night @ 730 it wasn’t too busy. I ordered Fajitas w/​a side of shrimp that I had to ask for again. My boys had iced tea and a root beer that mid way thru eating dinner needed a refill and my waiter was no where in sight. My husband and I ordered margaritas (which I think is commonly served w/​water) bit we had none and although the margs were delicious I still enjoy a glass of H20. I Asked 4 Times for it, Which eventually I did get after my dinner was finished and it was brought to me by a waitress that serves the chips & salsa. Nonetheless I will visit again and hopefully my service will be as great as the food!

Hung out at the bar with my lil’ sister, because she is a regular here. Nice little bar, I suppose. Ordered a chicken taco salad and was not impressed. It was massive and it had all of the fixings, and then some, but it had the taste and makeup of a fancy, gourmet salad in a taco bowl. I was looking for a true taco salad that tastes like a giant taco. I mean, hey, if you like gourmet stuff, this is for you. Not for me.

Tried Los Cucos for dinner with my wife and child. We are always up for trying a Mexican restaurant we’ve never been to before. First, the service was very good. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The prices are reasons as well. The food however, average tasting at best and really disappointing. I had got a beef fajita taco salad. It was just a no more then what I can only describe as a few pieces of bland steak squares on a bed of iceberg lettuce a few slivers of tomatoes and some «tortilla strings» I did have a little bowl of sour cream and guacamole though. They also had some sort of vinaigrette dressing that really did not go well with it and the taco shell it was all did not taste fresh. It was a disappointing meal all around. Two bad the food can’t match the service. We won’t be back. Three stars overall and that’s mostly for the service, not the food.
