Waited 1 hour to be seated on a slow Wednesday night. We ordered our food and waited another hour for our food. First and last time here. Gave one star because it wouldn’t let me post a 0 star

I had an occasion to dine this evening at the Pearland –Red Lobster Restaurant, 11104 West Broadway, Pearland Texas. I am not one to complaint about timely service but the service in this restaurant is the worst service that I have ever experienced in any restaurant. From the time that I was seated, it took approximately one hour and nineteen minutes to receive my order. Multiple persons who were seated after my arrival had their orders taken and food received while I continued to wait for my order. Upon asking to speak to the manager on duty, she was apologetic but made excuses why my service was poorly provided. The restaurant was not busy this evening so there was no real reason for this to occur. I will never return to this restaurant. It is not representative of what I have experienced at Red Lobster Restaurants. I did give the restaurant a «single star» rating because in this case, only because the site requires at least a single star rating. Food was acceptable but the service the worst.

I need to start with some short details, so please bear with me… After a year long battle with leukemia a San Antonio doctor told my Mom that there was nothing else he could do and referred her to MD Anderson and she moved to the Houston area. I made plans to visit from San Antonio one weekend and she received permission from the doctor to eat seafood, so she wouldn’t stop talking about going to «get crab legs from Red Lobster». So away we went… We were in the area, but very unfamiliar with it. I looked on Unilocal and was Immediately worried about this place because of the 2 star rating and not wanting to ruin her week long raving about crab legs. But, she’s the nicest most genuine person ever so she trusts everyone for some reason so she said let’s try it out. First off, Oliver acted like a true professional and got everything right on our order. He was very nice and friendly. He did a very great job! But, the main reason I’m writing this is because of the manager. My Mom was a little weak from treatment so I asked if they could crack her crab legs for her in the back(I have no idea where I got the idea from, I just thought that was a thing). They brought them out and they weren’t cracked so I asked what the cooks said and Oliver informed me that Red Lobster no longer does this. I said ok and started to crack them for her when the manager came out(tall black lady). She said that they don’t do it in the back anymore because it wouldn’t stay fresh but that she would crack them for her and took the plate and cracked just about every single one. She pulled out the longest most picture perfect pieces of crab I’ve ever seen. She was amazing. She took off before we could get her name and wouldn’t accept any tip. She was like a crab cracking angel that made my Mom’s week. My food was awesome(the everything platter lol) and I was even happier because it was the first time post-treatment she ate and got full. It was awesome. If you eat anywhere in this area eat here! Only listen to my review. I wish that we could go back but she passed away just before Christmas so I no longer have much reason to travel to Houston. Thanks, Josh

It was Mother’s Day, so I understand that they were busy… kind of. We were told 30 minutes when we arrived. A full hour later, we went to ask why we were still waiting. We were told there was one party ahead of us, so we continued to wait. 15 minutes, and about 6 parties later, I went and asked what on earth was wrong. The only intelligent hostess there(there were probably 6 of them that had zero interest in customer service) overheard me and we were sat immediately. While walking to our table, we noticed a lot of empty tables throughout the restaurant. Our waitress greeted us promptly and was very good. I think she was the only reason we stayed. My only issue with her was that we paid, and tipped quite generously(41%) as it was a holiday and we always feel for those who are stuck working, and as soon as the waitress got her money, we didn’t see her again. We sat for probably another 20 minutes chatting and all of our drinks were empty and none of our plates were prebussed. Just because you got your money does not mean your job is done. There was something wrong with every persons food… The asparagus was overcooked(after paying an extra $ 2.50 for 8 pieces of asparagus, I expected more.) my fiancé’s fish was over cooked. My BIL’s food came with our salads. His side order came with our food and was spilling all over the place because the bowl they served it in was too little for how much food was in it. It was literally the most disappointing trip to Red Lobster I’ve ever had. I hate to bring race into it, but everyone we saw that worked there was black, and we are all white. Every table that was sat ahead of us was black. And all of the white groups that were there, were sat in the same area. We definitely felt like we were the wrong color to be in that restaurant today. Unfortunately, I don’t think we will be returning to this location.

I called in my order. They have an $ 8.99 lunch special. I got the shrimp tacos. They substituted the rice for coleslaw for me. The customer service was good. My food and check was ready when I arrived. The tacos were very good. The shrimp were grilled. They had cabbage on them. They come with some good spicy salsa and some type of remoulade. They threw some of those butter biscuits in there. They were hot but I had to pass on the extra bread. My hips love me for that:-)

Terrible customer service. Came here on a Saturday afternoon and the place was virtually empty. Took about 5 minutes to get seated and after that we waited for 15 minutes and nobody came by to take our order, not even drinks. We ended up just walking out and went elsewhere. I don’t think I will ever return to this place.

First off, let me say that after Beyonce’s major shout out, I thought Red Lobster would be ready to step up their game. I can’t say that’s true. So… to set the tone… I called in my order(for my mom, she’s not Catholic but still eats fish on friday — go figure) and when I first called, I was put on hold twice totaling over 5 min then the line was hung up. I called right back and got to place the order with the person who answered. They said it would be ready in about 15min so I went to run another errand to give it time. I got there to pick it up at least 20min after the order was placed and was told upon entering to pick it up in the bar area. Here’s where things REALLY go downhill… I walk up to the bar(the guy behind it appeared quite busy) and pulled out my wallet. The guy behind the bar walked past me and glanced at me twice while in the midst of figuring out ingredients and how to make a drink order he was working on. So, I waited… and waited… next he walks over a register directly in front of where I am at the bar, but with his back to me and proceeds to enter information into the register for at least 3 – 5 minutes. Keep in mind that other than the door hostess, I’ve yet to be greeted or acknowledged at this point. I continue to wait for him to at LEAST understand I’m there, which after seeing me twice and looking at me in the mirror above the cash register(he was like 5’2″ I’m 5’8″)… NOTHING. I was a ghost. I felt like I was in Sixth Sense, but on the wrong side. After another couple minutes, he finally asks me what he can do to help me, I explain the order, he pulls up my ticket, I hand him my card, he runs it, gives me the paperwork and card then walks off to continue his other activities — no status on my food. This continues for several more minutes. Where the heyl is my food??? Pissed by this time, I walk the dining room area to find a server(the door hostesses were elsewhere) and found someone to find me the manager. That took some minutes since he was chatting with other customers. Finally get him, explain the issue, he says he’s going to check my order(time check, we’re at least 30 min after ordering now) The manager goes around to the bar area(ignore you forever dude is there), checks the system and says my food will be right out and walks away. THEN Mr. I have no idea you exist on earth but the boss just saw you says… for the FIRSTTIME the whole time I’ve been there ‘your order should be right out’. Well, gee — thanks for repeating what I just heard. LaCresha(sp?) comes out with my food a few minutes later, packs it up and asks to speak to me on the way out. She asked about my experience, let me know she’s the regular bartender and the ‘dude’ is in training. I let her know my extreme dissatisfaction and detailed the situation. She apologized and let me know she would use the feedback in his training. I appreciated her time and effort and she let me know if I return, ask for her and she will have something special for me. She was the only bright spot of the whole thing, and actually should be manager. oh — and I can’t tell you about the food — took it to my mom, haven’t checked to ask her what she thought, I was exhausted from the experience and my day. I’ll update that later. LOL

We visited this location at about 1:30 pm on a Wednesday and were surprised to have a 30 minute wait time. The restaurant was only about 1⁄3 full. When I asked about the wait time when there was clearly plenty of tables, I was told that there were only 2 – 3 waiters and they couldn’t be overwhelmed. We weren’t anticipating the wait time and had an appointment in a couple of hours so we felt a little pressed for time when we were finally seated. When the waitress(who was really nice by the way) arrived we gave her our drink orders, appetizer order & dish orders. We told her we had plenty of time to look over their menu as we were waiting. I didn’t know however that we would be receiving ALL dishes at the same time! Still, we were okay with it. The dishes were great, no complaints there. All staff were actually friendly, just wish they’d get their staffing needs in better order. I’d hate to see what the wait would be like during busier hours or weekends.

Very bad experience! Crabs were cold, fried shrimp was literally dripping with oil. Lobster was tough. Waitress served calimari and forgot the dip, also forgot the crabs with the meal… then forgot the crab utensils when she brought it. Tea had one piece of ice in it. My one pet peeve when I go out to eat is paying and leaving hungry. Could not stomach to eat anything there. What happened to Red Lobster?

We had dinner on 10÷2÷2015… We waited a few minutes to be seated… The hostess seemed to have an off day … We ordered the shrimp habanero appetizer wrap… OMG it’s huge and there’s plenty for 2 people. We had the lobster, salmon shrimp plate and we split it… Very yummy… So don’t write off Red Lobster… The mentioned dinner was $ 41.00 plus the tip. Andrea the server was very accommodating.

My boyfriend and I dined at the restaurant just a month ago and experienced the worse service we have ever had at a restaurant. We had to track down the waitress multiple times for silverware, refills, and biscuits. She disappeared in the back and we noticed that she was eating. She forgot about us completely. We actually asked one of the sweet busboys for a refill. Horrible service!

still nauseated I rolled into the men’s room, hoping it would be accessible, but it was awful. not dirty like just a busy day, but like months of terrible neglect. hard to believe anyone would find that acceptable mgt. if the restroom is this bad, I wouldn’t trust the kitchen. we trashed our take-home leftovers. the horrible smell stayed with me and I was nauseated for the remainder of the evening. this just ruined our evening. I know you’re in business to make money, but the smell and filth were just horrendous.

This was a very efficient red lobster. The food came quickly and the biscuits tasted out of this world. The liquor did as well.

I always take my parents to this Red Lobster location because the picky eaters in our family can always decide from the menu here. We have always had Great service and never had any problems with our food. Believe me I am very hard to please and don’t want anything to wrong with my meal service. So, I have been bringing my family here for several years, and regardless of their misconceptions of Red Lobster, they all have to come to appreciate, not only, the food here at Red Lobster, but more importantly, the time we have to share as a family. Thanks to June and everyone at this Red Lobster location.

Terrible Service & Management. It’s 3PM on a Saturday, there is a 30 minute wait, but the restaurant is three quarters empty. I just watched a screaming match over a sprite refund. A lady waited 15 minutes for a drink. We were brought three plates for our biscuits. Two of them were dirty. Not the waiters fault. He’s the only smart one here. Everybody else is incompetent.

The food was better than I expected. We printed a coupon for a free appetizer and got the Lobster Spinach Artichoke Dip. Was really good! The sweet tea was way too sweet. I may as well be drinking snow cone syrup. Yikes! Their biscuits are always amazing but wet a bit on the salty side. We got 2 caesar salads with our meal but the waitress forgot she had already given us salad and brought us 2 more. I didn’t want them but she was kind enough to box them up for my chickens at home. Hubby ordered steak, fried shrimp, and grilled garlic shrimp with a baked potato. Huge platter. All for $ 24. I got fried flounder and grilled sea scallops. The scallops were sweet and pretty tender. Not the best but surprisingly good for Red Lobster. The flounder was light and crispy but had a couple of bites that were a little fishy. I’m guessing these were frozen? Overall it was good and I’d order it again. The service was slower than it should’ve been. The waitress was nice but it shouldn’t take 10 minutes to fill tea. Good prices, decent food, a bit too much salt on the food, and slow service.

I read the other review and didn’t quite understand. We’d been here a few times before and have never had a problem. We were greeted with smiles at the door. Our wait was all of five minutes. The server was great and very friendly. Food came fast and hot. Over all it was a great meal and experience.

First of all I have to say that the location is perfect. Right off of 288, this location is in the heart of everything. With that being said my family and I did not have a great experience here. When we arrived on a Thursday evening around 7, there was a 45 minute wait. That’s understandable, the manager let us know they were short staffed, and he was very pleasant. Then we were seated after about 40 minutes later. Ordered our drinks and appetizers. Our appetizers took about 20 minutes to come out and our food about 40 minutes to an hour. Our server never let us know what was going on and that’s where I feel like the bad review comes in. Communication is key! When we received our food, it was either too salty or not seasoned enough. Their cheddar biscuits were delicous I must say. The manager was very friendly and tried to make up for the waiting time with humor, but they really need to get some more employees to help them improve the customer’s experience. Our server was okay, maybe overwhelmed, but she didn’t exhibit excellent customer service to me. She forgot my drink, didn’t update us on wait times, and didn’t really seem as friendly as I felt she should have been

Service here is piss poor. My last visit had us waiting 15 minutes for a waiter to come to our table after being seated in a restaurant that had only three, maybe four other patrons. After notifying a hostess we found out our server had walked by us several times and was the dude chillin in the back talking with the kitchen. Dude found out«why black folk don’t tip«on this occasion.

Granted, there are a number of other restaurants with better seafood options, I wouldn’t dine here with high expectations. Red Lobster’s claim to fame has always been its cheddar biscuits and shrimp scampi, both of which have declined in quality over the years. This location probably stays in business simply due to its proximity. I wouldn’t drive around looking for another Red Lobster in the area, even if I did think highly of the food. With that said, I came here with a friend who had been craving the crab linguini that’s part of the yearly Crabfest promotion. I ordered the crab and roasted garlic seafood bake. Both tasted pretty decent. I requested additional garlic butter sauce and lemons for my plate while my friend requested additional Cajun seasoning for hers.(We’ve learned to doctor up our entrées). Our server, Erica, was okay. We waited about 15 minutes for her to bring the plates for the cheddar biscuits. When she finally arrived, she informed the kitchen was backed up and there was a wait for clean dishes. That wasn’t her fault, though. The cheddar biscuits weren’t as flavorful as they used to be. My friend also had to wait a long time for a water refill. Like I said: no expectations, no disappointments.
