The atmosphere was great at Joe’s. My children enjoyed the high energy of the staff. Unfortunately after ordering the«Charbroiled Oysters» I suffered the worst nausea ever!!! The Steam Pots were great, but If I were you I would be careful with the Oysters.

I got their seafood gumbo and it was tasteless. I then ordered their crabcakes, and they were more filling than crab. I have had good crabcakes in Maryland, and these were nothing close. In summary, I paid $ 28 for my meal which was at best mediocre. Not a place I would go to again.

Kim Shaw! No matter what, ask for Kim Shaw! It’s been 8 months since we’ve visited Joe’s Crab Shack due to horrid service. We decided to give them another chance because they were doing $ 1 oysters. Boy oh boy am I glad we did. At first we were skeptical because it took 8minutes to get a server, but once Kim was told she had a table waiting, she worked her bum off to make sure we were well taken care of.

I am writing this to you as I am trapped here at Joe’s Crab Shack. We were lured in with hopes they’ve innovated their menu and service, plus the place wasn’t even a quarter full. Nothing has been updated here and it was a lil dingy. Menu pickings were slim. Then we waited for what seemed like an eternity for our food. About 5 minutes before it came, the waitress said the kitchen was backed up. Again, the place was practically empty. Food came and was tasteless and scant for the prices. Husband got the AYCE snow crabs and it came out at a snails pace. Agonizing. It took a solid 30 minutes to close out bill. First 20+ minutes was waiting for our waitress to come back and say the machines were down. Another 20 minutes to tally up the bill. At this point we are at the restaurant almost 2 hours and the kids were falling asleep. We were patient but visibly annoyed with each problem. Waitress was never very apologetic… Seemed like bad service was more of the norm here.

To begin, our table and several tables around ours were dirty, with condensation rings still left on the table along with food crumbs on the seats. While I wasn’t expecting the best, the quality of food here is not what I was expecting, some of it – fried fish — was definitely undercooked and the manager was repeatedly unavailable. I did like the appetizer sampler, but that’s where the enjoyment ended. The only other saving grace was our waitress, who performed mostly well, but when we asked for the check and wanted to leave she failed to follow-up and actually get the manager for us like she offered. The waitress also offered to have an item taken off the bill, but we still paid full price and no manager showed. I never want to visit this location again for the mere fact some of food we were served is a health hazard and management is missing-in-action.

My son and I went into Joe’s around 1130 for lunch. We ordered the Lobster and Crab boil(not sure of the name) I ordered a sampler but they said they could not make one of the items because part of the ingredients were not ready. The main course arrived and it was not good. The Lobster was very tough. Even after the lack of availability of appetizer requested and bad service a discount was never offered. Definitely was not worth the money. I won’t be going here again.

How this place is still open? Overpriced Sysco food and bad service. Went in for lunch and despite being empty our food took awhile to arrive. The lunch portions were smallish and I left hungry.

I usually love Joe’s Crab Shack and thought what a great place to go for Valentines day with my husband and son. Well it was one of the worst Joe’s experience we’ve ever had. Got there and was sat pretty quickly, got there before the Valentines crowd got there then sat there at table for 20 minutes before my husband decided to get up and inform someone we hadn’t been waited on yet. Apparently the waitress who was suppose to help us her shift had ended. So they had to find someone else. I mean we were sitting right dab in the middle of everyone could see, and never had a manager come apologize or anything. Two were standing around and never once came by. The waitress we got was never around to get refills or ask how we were. Worst service ever!!! Will not return, would rather go another 20 miles into Houston to another Joe’s.

Went today and was one of our like 4 tables of customers in the entire place– should’ve been a RED flag. Food took forever and was almost not edible. The service was slow and unattentive. The waitress was extremely rude after I told her the food was not good. This place went WAY downhill. I will definitely not be returning.

Worst joes crabshack i have ever been too. The manager needs to find a new career or go back to community college and take some business classes. Myself and my wife went here craving some crab and after 1 ½ hours of waiting we left. On the way out we told the waitress we wanted to speak to the manager and she said«he’s busy» i then complained to here about the service and she said«maybe ya’ll should have gone next door» WOW!!!

A great place to go if you want: Power outages(We were treated to 2) Rude service(our waitress was sloooooow and rude) Cold and soggy food(batter should NOT be sliding off of the beer battered fish) Tiny Snow Crab legs that were essentially crab meat free And High prices to let you enjoy all of the above! That will definitely be the last time we will visit this establishment.

Waitress put a «911» on our order to get us out of here for our movie on time. Food was great. Atmosphere was the best around! Love the back patio and the view and there’s even a playground for kids here! Highly recommend it and we will be back

Came in to have a fun celebration for my sons 5 the birthday. He insisted on McDonald’s but I am not a fan so we chose to come here so he could play and eat too and have fun with his celebration. I gave them our cookie cake and asked for it not to be placed in the fridge. Our sever who was the only bartender on staff was extremely pleasant. We ordered our appetizers they were over cooked calamari which made it like rubber, stale chips for our crab dip and nasty stuffed mushrooms. We placed our order and after approx being there 1 hour with no meals. And no one removing plates from our tables not even the manager, we receive our crab bowl with no crab utensils or plates, soggy popcorn shrimp and our crab was uniquely garnished with a long black hair. P. s. I am a blonde so it wasn’t mine! We chose to leave and try somewhere else!!!

The chowder was bomb… But the crabs were under seasoned and not cooked right. I’ve come to Joes three times. Been disappointed three times. This chain just sucks over all but I really wanted crab legs and there’s a lack of options in Pearland
