I was in Houston for a business trip and found this nice steak. Sat at the bar and the bartender was extremely polite and attentive. I had a 9 oz ribeye steak that was cooked to a perfect medium rare. It was so delicious.

It’s actually cuter in here than I expected and I really appreciate that they have local beer on draft, very important to me! haha Buuuuuut the food is just not good and it’s outrageously overpriced and hugely unhealthy. To make such worse, my friend found a not large but not small bug in her salad. It wasn’t a fly, it had many legs and a long body :{ yeah, gross. She couldn’t finish the rest of her meal, I told our waiter who said a manager would come by, The manager apologized and said do you want a drink on the house, well she already had a drink and frankly drinking or eating more was not on the cards for her. The manager said they’d do something to compensate her, yes, it was as vague as it sounds. The check came and they hadn’t taken anything of of her check and in fact they had mistakenly charged her for beer she didn’t not order or drink. We of course mentioned to our waiter that the manager had done nothing, which is awkward to have to ask again! Instead of comping her meal, they took 20% off of the bill, not good enough in my opinion. Never going back. Unless dragged and if I do, beer only.

Horrible… beware…it has been over a year since i have been here because the service and food were bad. I guess things haven’t changed we waited to be seated for quite awhile and noticed others doing the same. No one seemed to be leaving and a couple that had been seated had not been attended to for at least 10 minutes so we just left. I will never set foot in this Saltgrass again. Left and went to Texas Roadhouse nearby… always good and reliable.

Margaritas are 2.99 for happy hour as well as appetizers from $ 5.00 -$ 7.00. I enjoy the shrimp brochette appetizer the most. The bar area is usually not too crowded but for some reason on the Wednesday night before New Years it was a packed house.

I love everything about Saltgrass! Texas sized portions are great for sharing, unless you are a hearty eater or like leftovers more than I do. Too many favorites to name at Saltgrass restaurants. The staff is almost always pleasant and like most steak houses, some of them rock the service.

One word flabbergasted! If you tell someone the wait is 30 minutes; please take the common courtesy and advise or over estimate the wait time so that your customers are not aggravated or continuing to follow up. Also if your customer ask about a seating location do not a bluntly lie about the server that is servicing the area and without 15 minutes passing arranging to seat someone else there. Our server John was much worst than pathetic. Just say he could not service our table by himself. First off, wrong size appetizer came out… the time for our drinks to arrive was questionable. … I mean how long does it really take for you to get a bottle of wine, it’s not like you’re aging it yourself in the restaurant. Our meal was ordered through someone else. We requested water more than twice and yet my boyfriend had to go get our waters himself because it made it to a tray next to our table but of course he neglected to set them down at the table… finally dinner arrived.. everyone’s was fine but mine! When you asked for grilled asparagus I’m guessing it means fry them… oh yet along I should of requested to pass on the long strand of hair on my plate… out right disgusting…

NO prime rib or NO ribs is what waiter told us before we ordered. Drove four hrs from Dallas and friend convinced me to come here instead of my steak-house choice. She ordered steak & I ordered Chicken Laredo because avocado combo sounded interesting with side salad and potato . Asked for bread & waiter came back with apology– NO bread. Salad arrived-NO croutons. These weren’t oversights, they were really out. Chicken Laredo arrived… NO avocado on it. Asked waiter, who chuckled. Went & checked and told me they would cut me some. Do I really have to ask for it? Asked for mgr. and Jordan came out to ask how our meal was. At best, he apologized and made excuses.(NO, ’ How can I make this up to you’.) Luckily for my next six weeks in Houston, there are plenty of steak houses that will get my business. Saltgrass @Silverlake Village will NOt be one.

Not very busy on a weekday afternoon. The staff was more interested in goofing around than providing service. We were finally seated. I I ordered the steak Oscar. It comes with crab on top of the steak. Or it is supposed to come with crab on top. The waiter said he would bring it but did not. Steak was ok, nothing special. Just disappointed all around. Other steak places are better.

We came to Pearland this past weekend, we asked our Hotel what is the best steakhouse, she said Saltgrass. After driving for approximately 1 hour we good there(Not there fault was were lost, lol). We had made a reservation and we had past that time, yet they took us within 5 mins, and the place was packed. All three of us had the Pat’s Ribeye with Baked potatoes, 2 with salad, 1 with soup. I had the best Ceasar’s Salad, and my friend had a Salad with Ranch Dressing. We asked if they made there own dressing they said yes! The dresses were delicious! My one friend said the Soup was good too. When the steaks and baked potatoes came they were perfect and delicious!!! We will definitely go back there again! :)

We had a great time. The food was pretty good! My steak was a little dry i always Order my steak medium well but this one was over cooked:(I sent it back and the manager brought me another one in less then 3 minutes and it was so much better. The potato soup was outstanding and the salad was just perfect. The waiter was very nice and quick to make sure that everybody was satisfied.

Yum, yum, and yum!!! The Queso Fresco is a delicious appetizer! The Texas Cheesesteak Sandwich is amazing! My husband enjoyed his T-Bone steak, I loved the grilled shrimp and the sides we got were the baked sweet potato and seasonal veggies which were all very good. Our server was awesome… quick and attentive. We enjoy Saltgrass so much we pick it up to go sometimes.

Food and atmosphere is fantastic. I’m local and go about five times a year. Prices are fair. The lunch menu prices are really reasonable and what I typically take advantage of. You really can’t go wrong with anything here. I’m a prime rib guy and they always serve it correctly to order. While you wait, grab their version of the Long Island ice tea…

Steak with a side of cockroaches anyone? Nah, me either. But, that’s exactly what I got tonight. I would normally give this place 4-stars but had to take away one for the creepy crawler. I almost didn’t write this review because the manager handled the situation but I have to keep my reviews honest and report the good and the bad… So, here’s what happened: I sat down at the bar & ordered a margarita, salad &12oz Ribeye. While waiting, the bartender asked if I wanted bread & I agreed. She brought out the bread, then the salad. I began to eat. Next, my steak arrives & I push the bread to the side & finished my salad. I began to cut my steak and a roach crawled up on the bar and on to my bread. I yelled out, «oh my god, oh my god». Bartender looked at me & I pointed & said, «There’s a roach on my bread». She quickly grabbed the plate, knocked it off & retreated to the back. She came back out, didn’t say a word & started frantically cleaning the bar area. About 10 minutes later, the manager came out, sat next to me & apologized. I told him it freaked me out when I saw it but I understood that he is in a strip center & certain things are out of his control. The manager stated that it was not acceptable & that my entrée would be complimentary. I fully expected that. But, in reality, he should have comped my whole ticket(entrée and margarita). Anyhow, I frequent this Saltgrass because it is close to home. Normally, I have a great experience. The food is delicious. But, tonight Mr. Cockroach ruined it for me :-(

Second visit, steak was a little bit overdone but the food spacing was done well the drinks were a little light but the service was good Important tip for this restaurant If you don’t want your food to arrive on top of your appetizer space you’re ordering out the kitchen is very very fast

I came to Saltgrass for a birthday dinner, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the restaurant. We were seated promptly, and the service was very fast and efficient. I started the meal off with a 22 oz Texas Tea, which was tasty with just the right amount of alcohol. For the appetizer, I had the Chuck Wagon Cheese Fries. It came in a heaping portion of melted cheese and crispy fries on a large plate. For the entrée, I had the Pats Ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes. The beef was really tender and juicy. It was cooked to perfection. Although this was my first visit to Saltgrass, I will be sure to come back in the future to try their other signature steaks!

Corporate office reached out to me and had the manager contact me. Joe called me to apologize and told me to ask for him the next time I was in the restaurant. We went there tonight to celebrate a birthday, so I made sure to ask for Joe. He had just gone home, but the managers that were on duty made sure we were taken care of. Our waiter, Reid, was excellent. We not only had great service, but the food was phenomenal. Our steaks were cooked perfectly, the sides were delicious and the carrot cake was to die for! They definitely restored our faith in the quality of Saltgrass, and we will continue to come here in the future.

Saltgrass has been one of our favorite restaurants for years, and this location, since it opened, has never disappointed. Went this last Monday to celebrate my father’s birthday, and the food was absolutely delectable. He had the Vaquero Tacos with mashed potatoes, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Mum had the Crab Cakes, and I had the Wagon Boss Top Sirloin with a loaded jacket potato that was just out of this world. Everything was simply wonderful, if I could give it more stars, I would full heartedly. Keep rocking on Saltgrass, never lose it. P. S. The only possible comment I’d make was that the peach margaritas we ordered were not made probably. Too much tequila, and it didn’t taste anything like peach.
