I dunno why this place gets 5 stars. I’ve had my hair done here and she burnt my hair. I’ve had straight perm done from other places before and it always looked natural until I went to this place. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Paid $ 300 for someone to mess up my hair!!! Unbelievable!!! Never going back to this place. There’s no way I can fix what she did. Now I just have to wait for my hair to grow then cut it because the part she did is so dry. Lee is a nice lady but the job she did was just horrible.

I am samoan and have been insecure about the thickness of my hair because of a previous stylist that did my Japanese straightening years ago. When Lee saw my hair she was not at all intimidated by the thickness, it made me feel comfortable and at ease. She was very positive about my hair. I highly recommend Lee to anyone who wants their hair permanently straightened! She means business and will ask you questions about your hair so she knows what specific shampoo to use. Normally stylists would converse and talk about random things but Lee told me «You do your thing (my phone) and I’ll do mine!» Lol she is an expert at Japanese straightening and she’s super sweet. I left feeling satisfied! My hair was silky soft and straight as can be! I am a mom of two boys a student and a full time worker so Lee made life easier for me! If she can do it for me she can do it for anyone!

Highly, highly recommend Lee if you are looking to get japanese straightening done. She is extremely knowledgeable, very efficient, and I really came out of the salon with NEW hair that I actually love. I’ve been getting my hair straightened for 15 years, and I’ve gotten it done in different states and out of country. I am very happy with her and the results. The milbon liscio products she uses are safe and not harsh at all. They give a very natural look. Not only am i very happy with my hair but I feel like a found my long lost auntie. She is such a sweetheart and I can’t wait to go back to her.

After and I love it. I also bought some shampoo and conditioner from her. Haven’t tried it out yet but I’m sure it’ll be good. I used to go to this lady in kaimuki for my straightening but she didn’t answer so I Unilocaled Lee and read her reviews and took the chance. I’m glad I did and I will be returning she is such a sweetheart!

Lee really took her time to study my hair and applied various products for the different textures. The result is amazing and five months later, my hair still is straight and looks great. It took out the frizz and gave it a smooth, silky texture and I can just quickly blow dry my hair — very easy. I used to wear my hair in a ponytail every day, but now that is has this smooth consistency, I wear it down daily– I will definitely return!

Wonderful service, beautiful job!!! Lee made sure she knew exactly what we wanted, and explained the process thoroughly. The price was reasonable for the amount of hair and curl that my daughter had (trust me she has enough hair for 3 people on that little head of hers, and often kid that she would be taller if her body didn’t use all its energy to grow hair). Our daughter is so super happy! Thank you Lee!!!

Just did my hair straightening today for the first time, and I must say Lee is amazing! The time and effort she puts into your hair is noticeable. She really takes the time to carefully inspect your hair, and makes sure you’re okay through the entire process. Thank you so much Lee! You are the sweetest, and simply the best hair stylist that I have ever been to. I’ll be back most definitely.

I’m so glad I found Lee! I had the Japanese straight perm done and you can tell she takes pride in her work and does a great job. I went to her for what she specializes in and am so happy with my results and it doesn’t take a whole day to get it done! I definitely recommend her to anyone who wants their hair straightened. Finding Lee was a blessing! Very friendly lady with a good eye for hair styles. I not only have beautiful straight hair now but lovely layers to go with it. I no longer need to flat iron my hair everyday and dry it out. The straight perm left my hair feeling silky and smooth. My hair feels healthy and I am very satisfied with the results. I highly recommend Lee to those that are interested in the Japanese Straight perm. The price is reasonable and worth it!

I by chance stumbled upon Lee’s services thanks to all the Unilocal reviews. (Yes, I took a very big chance with my hair.) I am new to the state and have yet to find the right stylist that has the Japanese hair straightening treatment available. She is very precise and passionate about what she does also a wonderful woman to get to know. I LOVE the end result of my hair! Will be seeing her again very soon.

Lee has been doing a straight perm on my hair for almost 7 years now. She’s always done a great job. My Japanese/​Hawaiian hair is frizzy and puffy without a straight perm. It’s always sleek and shiny after I visit Lee. You DO need to take care of your hair and moisturize to keep it from drying out, but it’s so worth it. I always get compliments on my hair.

I’ve been going for a while and always walk away pleased. Lee is very creative and knows how to execute ideas very well. I’ve walked in with vague ideas of what I wanted and she always finds a way to make it happen. She’s a go-​to for expertise, not to mention a good conversation.

Lee is a wonderful hair stylist. I have been going to her for over 10 years now. I remember when I first walked in to her salon on a holiday… she looked at my hair and knew exactly what to do. I have natural curls that could be somewhat challenging to control and manage and Lee was able to tame them. I love all the work she does on my hair from cut, highlights to hair straightening. I am amazed on the hair straightening she does and it lasts quite a long time. I always get compliments from friends and people I don’t even know. She is very friendly and I always enjoy chatting with her. She has this rare talent that can bring out the beauty in a person through her work of art! I really recommend you to give her a try and you will see the difference that she can make.

Lee is the person to go to for Liscio hair straightening in Honolulu! She’s the first to start doing it in Honolulu and has been getting great results. She flies out to the Milbon NYC office for her training and I always recommend people to her when looking for someone in Honolulu. She’s also very fun to chat with.
