The address listed here is wrong, they moved to the corner of University and Pasadena. They didn’t seem to care when I told them that their website was wrong, which irked me the wrong way. As for the food, we ordered the Las Vegas combination plate just so we could taste more things and it was delicious and enough food for my brother and I to share.

Nothing like a company website that does not identify when their locations are CLOSED. Locals suggested we eat at Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine. We drove to the location in pounding rain only to find there were sinks stacked in the middle of the room, no tables, no wallcoverings. WHAT a bust. I called their other location in the area and asked WHY their web site doesn’t reflect the place was closed! They said it was too much trouble to change the website… REALLY? Did they think I was going to drive to their alternate Pembroke Pines location when they can’t even update a CLOSEDLOCATION? They missed 6 very hungry tourists ready to drop some serious cash…

I’ve literally grown up with the Las Vegas restaurants. Their chicken filet is by far the best in town and is one of my favorite dishes of all time. This place is a must go if you’re ever in south Florida! Great for to-go orders as well.

Excellent! So I wanted arroz con pollo. After reading it would take an hour I was pissed that I didn’t call ahead of time to order it…(Plus one order serves 2) so considering I was starving, I got an order of Chicken Empanandas and Ropa Vieja. Both are sooo yummy I can almost slap the cook for cooking it so damn good. I don’t know what they put in the white rice to flavor it so delicious… But damn I could just eat that all by itself. I had more than enough for leftovers that I typically wouldnt eat because basically heated up leftovers in a hotel room microwave aren’t ever yummy… But I just may make the exception. I ended my meal with café con Leche which was also amaze balls. If I ever come back to the area for business I will come here and call in the Arroz con Pollo because it has GOT to be just as delicious. Great, friendly, and fast service. Yummm-O!

Didn’t like it at all! I ordered a cuban sandwich and it was soggy. Gross and my co workers for was not tasty at all. Not a fan. Eat there at your own risk.

Customer service. Anyone? I honestly don’t remember how the food tasted at this point because all I can remember is the horrible service that left my friend and I shaking our heads at each other in disbelief. I don’t care to relive the experience again by writing it out here in Unilocal, but I will say I won’t be returning here again. Ever.

Not Cuban so I can’t speak to the authenticity, but this was by far the best Cuban meal I’ve ever had! Several locations throughout South Florida and the two I’ve tried we’re both excellent.

Wow!!! The Vaca Frita was Amazing… It’s been a few days since I had it, and I STILL salivate just thinking about it! Started the night with Yuca Frita, washed down with a cold Presidente… Then the main event; La Vaca Frita! Made me feel like I was home, so savory that I almost bit the plate! Ended with a Cafecito… Finito!

I went on a Saturday for lunch and was told the medianoche and Cuban sandwiches«were not available today.» A Cuban restaurant not having a Cuban sandwich available is completely unacceptable.

I’ve only done takeout but I thought that Las Vegas handles takeout orders very well. Good service on the phone and in the restaurant when picking up my order. Everything was in the bag and ready to roll when I arrived, which is aces. I like the vaca frita, which is done very well here. I like the rice and beans and I thought they were cooked perfectly. Not my favorite Cuban in Pembroke Pines, but it was solid in a pinch.

I loved the food, it took a bit long but it was worth the wait. I had the vaca frita is great. My girlfriend had the flank steak and she wasn’t too happy with it. She asked for it well done and it came back a bit read, I tried also and I thought i was good. I will definitely come back

I used to frequent Las Vegas a lot, 1 – 2 times a week, for many years until we went for dinner on a busy Saturday night and the hostess looked over me to the people who walked in after me and asked how many people, in Spanish. I indicated that we were next, she ignored me. Again, I said, we were next… and she still ignored me and then the owner, who had always been nice to me, said I had to wait… I said for what? To put my name on the list after everyone else who walks in after me? In Spanish she told the hostess that she didn’t need«my kind» there… I know that because my husband understands Spanish. Evidently, Las Vegas doesn’t care if non-Spanish speaking patrons go there. I felt very discriminated against there and looking back the only time I got good service was when I was with my Spanish speaking friends. I took my business to LaCaretta.

The second time to this restaurant left a bitter taste in my mouth. I shared a plate with my husband and so did the other two friends of ours. I got a feeling the waitress was not pleased with that. Each time we ordered, she said«you want two plates of(insert food here)?» and we answered«no, just one to share…» Well when the food got there, it was a significantly smaller amount of food than the previous time I was here where I remember not being able to finish the plate because it was so much food… which is why we were sharing a plate. And I KNOW Cuban restaurants serve enough for two. So I’m pretty convinced that they served us less on purpose because the waitress was upset. I was very displeased with the service at this location.

The location is large clean and friendly, casual atmosphere, the service is good although some of the waitresses are new and somewhat inexperienced or insecure in the service and also do not speak English very well, but offset this with a good attitude and desire to serve. One of the best Cuban food restaurants in the area of Pembroke Pines, I’ve always have been there during lunch time. They have a daily lunch special menu with more affordable prices that the regular menu. The typical Cuban roast pork is delicious, well seasoned, juicy and fresh, I’ve also eaten chicken fillet with two sides, French Fries are simply delicious, I think the best I’ve eaten in many places, homemade, simply delicious, The pork chops are also very good for about $ 7 .95 or so Portion is large and they serve two chops accompanied by white rice delicious cuban black beans and fries(or the sides of your choice.) the flan Dessert is very good but I think it’s a bit pricey for the area and place. Congri rice is also very good, tasty and well done.

I was introduced to the Las Vegas, and the facinating rags to riches tale of this family owned chain of Cuban restaurants a few years ago. Having enjoyed and savoured a wonderful Cuban meal at Tampa’s La Teresita, I just had to have more and Las Vegas was the place to be. Plantains, flank steak, lime marinated meats and so on, it is a place whereas Cuban cuisine is celebrated in its entirety, at good prices and with friendly faces. Since then, I’ve been there a number of times, and make it a point to stop SPECIFICALLY there for at least one meal a trip everytime I’m in Florida.

Been there several times and seems to get worse every time. Waiter seemed new. Forgot appetizer and then blamed kitchen for it not coming out. Never came back to ask how food was and food seemed blah this time when normally decent. Think that was our last time.

When I first started going to Las Vegas, the Cuban cuisine restaurant, at their original location back in ’87 little did I know that the small family owned and run establishment would grow to a chain of many locations. I have eaten at their location on 441 in Hollywood, Pines Boulevard, and this trip was to their new location on Hallandale Beach Boulevard in Hallandale next to Panera Bread. This Las Vegas location is the biggest and most beautifully decorated location of all the ones I have been to. In addition to the many inside tables and beautiful bar area they accomodate many more patrons on their outside patio which is extremely pleasant once the day slips into twilight. I have always recommended Las Vegas for people looking for authentic Cuban food at reasonable prices. When Michelle and I were seated we gave our drink order and a basket of fresh pressed Cuban garlic bread quickly arrived. I ordered my favorite soup to start the meal, caldo gallego, which is a white bean soup. I call it «Cuban pasta fagioli!» Then I ordered piccadillo, with black beans, white rice, and plantains. So delicious. Michelle was eyeing the paella that someone was eating at the table next to us but she ordered the Filete De Pollo-Chicken Fillet with salad and rice. «Next time,» she said, «I’m getting the paella!» She said it like she meant it, so I believe her. There is plenty of stuff on the menu that I like and it makes it hard for me to make a decision each time I come. Palomilla, ropa vieja, boliche; I love them all! I followed my meal with a delicious crème brûlée which was outstanding and a cup of café con leche. No matter where you are in south Florida you’re not far from a Las Vegas restaurant. Be sure to tell them you saw it here.

VIVALASVEGAS!!! Walk inside here for the first time at lunch time the place was going crazy. People are running all round, screaming, things are breaking… it’s like the real Vegas, let me hit the ATM and order a martini. I turn the corner and there’s about 2 bus loads of kids on a field trip there. Loud is all I can say. Skip the ATM and change that martini to a scotch straight up. I was hungry so I dealt with it. The lunch specials are a great deal. Main dish, rice, beans and fried plantain for under $ 10. All I know about Cuban food is from Brooklyn so this was new to me. Don’t hate me for saying this but Cuban food here reminds me of Puerto Rican food. There were definitely differences(Cuban Food: Puerto Rican Food/Heinz Ketchup: Hunts Catsup) but it still enjoyed it. What I’ve been told is this is the best Cuban food in the local area and after eat here I can believe it.

Is it bad that I literally ate here three times in one week? Granted, I LOVE Cuban and Puerto Rican food and have gone through withdrawls in the 2+ years since I lived in Puerto Rico, so I was overdue for good Cuban food. That said, if the food isn’t good, I would not have returned. Went the first time for lunch and had the«baby» churrasco. The churrasco itself was all right — a little more done than I prefer, but that’s the Cuban style, but the sides, oh, the sides! Cuban garlic bread brought to the table fresh and hot, and the sweet plantains(platanos maduros), rice(arroz) and black beans(frijoles negros) that come with all of the entrees are absolute perfection. Came back for dinner with colleagues later in the week and had the appetizer sampler — loved the fried plantain chips and empanadas — both worth getting again separately, and tried the ropa vieja — very tasty. Of course, had the above mentioned side dishes. Loved it so much I forced dh to come back for dinner that Friday night(he’s not a huge fan of Cuban food) and he enjoyed it too. He had steak(thin and tasty), plus empanadas and the rice and bread. I tried the shredded pork, which was good, if simply seasoned. Bottom line — this place is crazy good and with so many locations, very convenient to almost any part of the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale area. Try it!

I visited Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine with family for dinner. This was the first time I had been, my family has been before. Location/Appearance: This restaurant is placed within a shopping center next to a movie theater, since we visited on a Friday night it was reasonably busy. As you walk in you are immediately greeted by the hostess and guided to our table. We asked for a booth and received a booth. Inside is spacious and airy with high ceilings. Nice ambiance, lighting, no complaints. There were couples, families, kids. Service: Our waitress was attentive and immediately brought our beverages and complimentary basket of Cuban bread with a tasty garlic spread. After a few minutes talking over menu options we placed our orders with our waitress. During the service our waitress was close-by for empty dishes or refills. Quality of food: I ordered the chicken chunks with tostones, and black beans and rice. Food was prepared fast, didn’t seem longer than 15 minutes for 4 dinners. The chicken chunks were amazing, they are cooked with red peppers and onions with a garlic oil marinade. The chicken seemed to be pure chicken white breast meat. The rice and beans were flawless. The tostones were not too hard or crunchy. I was really hungry and worried I’d still be hungry but after the decent sized portions I was content as I left. It seemed like they give you the perfect sized portions. End of service: Towards the end of our meal, our waitress was there to clear empty plates and bring out to-go containers. She offered desserts and we ordered one flan because I was full. We received our check and proceeded towards the exit. Upon leaving we were asked how the service and food was by a female in an orange shirt(I wasn’t able to see her name). She held the door open for us as we left and wished us goodnight. GREATSERVICE! Overall: As a life-long resident of South Florida and occasional consumer of Cuban cuisine, Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine definitely has my recommendation as an establishment with GREAT food and wonderful service. If you visit definitely try the chicken chunks you won’t be disappointed.
