My husband purchased my first Mother’s Day gift here. Due to a metal sensitivity I exchanged the gift for a watch. Upon wearing the watch for less than two weeks the finish began to come off. I returned to the store with both the receipt from the original purchase as well as the receipt for the exchange, both of which had been done less than three weeks prior. I was very unhappy with the quality of the watch and wanted to simply return it. The owner stated he could only send it back to the manufacturer to have them look at it but did not see them doing much of anything. He blamed ME for the wear — saying I had been wearing it too loosely(for 2 weeks, mind you). He said if I returned a defective watch«what would that leave him with». I began to speak firmly and was getting visibly upset. At that time I was told he «did not know why I was acting that way». The team does not seem to understand that with poor customer service and a negative attitude it is impossible to gain referrals and build your client base. I will no longer be giving M & F Jewelry any of my business, nor will I be sending them any new customers who ask for feedback. They do not appear to carry quality products or have strong relationships with their vendors. They certainly do not know the meaning of customer service. Save yourself the aggrivation and go elsewhere.

Recently I has an altercation with the owner of M & F Jewelry. I purchased two Cape Cod bracelets in different sizes with the intention of returning the one that didn’t fit. When I went to return the bracelet he wanted to charge me $ 10 for not having the box it came. I only received one box and that was given to the person for whom the gift was intended. He was so arrogant and rude to me I couldn’t believe I was in this situation. It was not until his wife came in and clarified the transaction did I get my money back. I will never go to this store again. I asked him what happened to the customer always being right? He said he didn’t know the whole story even though I explained it to him. He never even apologized to me. Absolutely the rudest man I have ever encountered in retail.

Got my wife’s engagement ring here. He did not have the size I wanted, 1.5 princess cut so he ordered a bunch for me to look at and I was able to choose. Very nice owners, gave me a very fair price. I also had a watch battery changed here. He did it while I waited and only cost $ 6.00!
