Very loud, very crowded, very touristy. Most of the food I’ve tried there isn’t great(don’t get the tacos or a burger if you go), but they do have the best nachos I’ve had in town. I’ve also never had their steak, which is probably pretty good considering it’s a steakhouse(but you can get good steak for way cheaper elsewhere on Main Street). The bar is big with decent beer selection. The house whiskey is terrible, unless you enjoy similar drinks such as Pendleton Whiskey and turpentine. Service is fine, taking into account how busy they are all the time. The live music is usually good when they have it, and it’s one of only a couple places in Pendleton with a kitchen open past 9PM outside of Roundup week.

Great food and friendly service! I ordered the top sirloin and it was cooked perfectly with great flavor while my boyfriend enjoyed the cowboy burger. I appreciated their extensive wine list and craft beers. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

We had dinner here during Pendleton Roundup Week. Wonderful ambiance and service. Good drinks. However, we were sorely disappointed. Like most(but not all) restaurants, the menu this week had very few selections. The steaks were way out of our budget so we settled on a salad(one of two choices of salad) which was very good and not overly dressed. However, the chicken dinner(only entrée in the $ 20 range) my husband ordered was terrible. Reminded me of a TV dinner. Meat was cooked(perhaps re-heated) to the point of mushiness. The mashed potatoes reminded me of boxed instant. May try this place again during a less busy week but will not be back during Roundup Week.

The prime rib meal with salmon was fantastic. Don’t pass up this restaurant when in Pendleton. First class food with first class service.

Incredible. Four of enjoyed a lot of red meat, no surprise as this is a steakhouse. Baby back ribs were on special that night, they were tasty and the portions were more than this retiree could handle. Wine list okay, but jury out on their labels. Ambiance surprising in this over 100 year old establishment. Best place in Pendelton.

Over priced and inconsistent cooking. Tries to be a high end restaurant but just doesn’t have the ingredients to pull it off. Ate there twice and was very disappointed both times. I won’t make it a third mistake. The only reason for the second star is the building and inside décor.

Folks in Pendleton told me food has gone south. Tried my first time. Filet was one of the worst I’ve had. Tasted like something from sizzler. Potatoes had the taste and consistently of something powdered in a box. The other 2 people in my party had a very similar experience. Also, our server admitted to bringing out the wrong order(brought filet instead of prime rib). She comped one beer. Wouldn’t you comp the meal? Best part was the interior finish work. I really want this place to succeed. Best thing of the meal was the string beans

The service was great, and the food was delirious. I had prime rib, and it was perfect.

Visited Pendleton to see a friend. Unfortunately Pendleton is quite out of the way, but honestly this place is so good I could potentially envision myself driving the 3 hrs from Portland just to eat here!(okay, maybe not… but yes I had a great experience here) First, the décor is beautiful. Historic décor, high quality furnishings, nice and cool on a hot day(but still plenty of lighting; none of that so-dark-you-can’t-see-your-food-lighting-in-the-name-of-romance). There are also antique phone booths, pianos, and other paraphernalia on display. Second, the food was delicious. Every dish we got was decadent. Even the bread was delicious — an aromatic grain/seeded bread that tastes delicious buttered. I got the pork chop which was very tasty, although I wish I had gotten the chicken-fried-steak which I tried a bite of. It was the perfect crispiness(their fried items in general are the perfect crispness. This applies to the crab cakes, for instance) and was very flavorful. Finally, the portions are ginormous! This may be a Pendleton thing, because the food at Great Pacific was equally«larger-than-life-larger

Wow! Will be back! Great ambiance, great service, great drinks, great food! The best thing is the authentic western age décor and woodwork from the 1800s era. Trip back in time and well done. Go! You won’t be disappointed. Oh and they had live music.

Great western ambience. Prime rib was great. Fresh wheat bread. THEGRANDFINALE! Their Berry Crumble Ala mode. It has Marion berry, raspberry, strawberry and blueberry. Can you say scrumptious. I have to say it was the best part of the meal. Save room for this dessert you won’t be disappointed.

Visited here with co-workers while on a business trip. The service was a bit slow, but nice. When the food came all my co-workers got their burgers, but it took an extra 5 – 10 minutes for me to get my salad. My coworkers enjoyed their burgers. My salad was ok, a bit over dressed so the greens were overly greasy, plus a disappointing about of apple on the salad for an entrée size. The pickle chips were great though!

We were seeking a late night bite to eat when we were in town, and we’re directed to this massive, sprawling steakhouse. By the time we got there,(after 9pm), there was seating in the the bar only. What I’m sure was the limited bar menu ended up being more than what we needed. We tried the pork tacos(on special for Taco Tuesday) for just $ 4 for 3. They were perfect and messy and just the right size. We also got the buffalo chicken salad which came with a hearty serving of blue cheese dressing. My IPA did a fine job quelling my burning tongue from the flavorful unique buffalo sauce, but we just had to get the ice cream sundae to finish it all off. The«scoop» of vanilla turned out to be about 3 and the chocolate sauce was almost hot fudge. Our server had the entire bar while we were there, so I think she did a pretty good job of getting us what we needed. I’d definitely come back for an earlier dinner if we were in town again!
