Food is amazing! The dragonfly and the mt Fuji roll are my favorites! Their miso soup with the crab and jalapeños is delicious. I’m not from Florida but I wish I could take this place with me because it is an awsome place to eat! The atmosphere is fantastic, the restrooms are always clean, the restaurant itself just has such a good vibe to it from the art on the walls to the mermaid like floor tiles, and the silver wave like backsplash of the bar.

This is another place in Pensacola that serves generic Asian food where most of the product is not fresh(you can taste the freeze). It’s pretty much the same layout and style of Nom Izakaya down the road and I don’t recommend going to either location. I don’t know what it is but there is just something plastic in the air/food that doesn’t taste right. Maybe it’s made differently to cater to the local tongue, but I mean if that’s the standard here in P-cola, then it really won’t satisfy the trained taste buds. I tried the pork dumplings and the Cambodian chicken and rice. The pork dumplings looked good, but I could taste the shipping packaging. The chicken and rice was just that – chicken and rice. I’m not sure what made it Cambodian. Was it the random spicy sauce they give with it? Who knows. The deal is, you don’t come here for Asian food, you come here because it’s some option in downtown with pseudo-Asianness that might be good. I might give this place another try but I know I’ll just be disappointed.

Spicy tuna sushi to start and it was great! Wife ordered Green curry grouper and it was off the chain. I ordered red curry chicken. Very flavorful however, could have been more spicy. Overall, solid place for dinner.

This is my favorite sushi bar in florida. Outstanding service, fresh food all around, chef is on premises everyday and loves to meet his customers. BBQ eel is great, and my favorite is the Seol Roll.

Very nice Asian fusion place that serve the Cambodia, Japanese, and Vietnamese. They also do some curry. The restaurant is great for two or sit on the bar. They only have one big table that can sit 7 people. Therefore large group is a bit difficult. Today we have seven and we were able to sit together. The waiter is very courteous and get out orders quickly. I have order a squid salad and the Cambodia Chicken. However, they runout of squid and I have to substitute the ginger salad. They were kind enough to give me a free spicy tuna sushi to accommodate the unable provide dish. The spicy tuna sushi are very good. The tuna is dice mix with sauce and top with masago. They are very delicious. The Cambodia Chicken was marinated and grilled to wonderful taste. It serve with rice, lettuce, cucumber, pickled carrot & daikon, mint. All foods are great. The service also good. This is good restaurant if you want something fast.

Me and ceryna decided to give khons on palafox another try. It’s always had a very nice look. It’s really cute on the inside with a long bar to the right and a beautiful picture hanging on the wall to the left. We decided to sit on the inside window bar. Winston was a server, who is also the owner of Khons. He was very kind and very apologetic, and told us everything was on the house. I ordered the sea weed salad, and an order of one, smoked salmon nigiri. I also had green tea, and water to drink. Ceryna had the spicy tuna, along with the smoked salmon nigiri, and a Sakito(sp). We both agreed the nigiri was the best we’ve had so far. It didn’t taste old and was very fresh. We both agreed the sea weed salad was delicious, as always, and her spicy tuna roll was perfect. It came in an 8 roll of mini sushi rolls, instead of the cones we had last time. Over all, this experience was wonderful and we really enjoyed. I know we will return with a few other friends, and we felt that Winston really cared about our experience at khons. I DO recommend.

So-so sushi but they have some creative dishes. I liked the W roll which has bacon inside and salmon and avocado on top with Sriracha sauce. The chef took a while to make it but it was good. However not amazing… Server was kind and nice. I think I will go back and give a try on some other menu.

The times are a changing and on Palafox the change for the good. Khon’s which has been opened for such a short period of time is developing some serious street cred! For starters Khon just looks like a cool place, it’s not necessarily good for large groups, but more for laid back hangout. Khon has a great staff although it went from warm to vapid to warm again. Dot, the sushi chef, who was formally from H2O on Pensacola Beach, is just terrific as she asked if she could experiment on me and switch things up on the Blue Angel Roll. She did a great job, but also did a great job on the other rolls. Khon’s offers a Phở menu too and I look forward to trying their Phở out as winter months arrive, phở becomes a very important thing in my life.
