Found this place on Friday 5⁄20 and fell in LOVE! The the eclectic décor and inviting staff and patrons made the experience great! Besides the fact that it was like 10:30pm and the kitchen was still open, everything we had was GREAT! As a Louisianan I’m seriously picky but this place has ZERO complaints from me unlike a few other Pensacola restaurants who try to toss random spices on top of seafood and call it Cajun style, this place really knows what they are doing! So good to find a place other that Boudreaux’s in Pensacola with GREAT bisque! In addition to the great food the bar tender was awesome! He made his own blueberry purée from blueberries his grandmother made! Absolutely AMAZING! Can’t wait to go back and the enjoy great music and try out the rest of the menu!

Sitting here having a glass of wine with friends and the music started. Not many places fulfill my thoughts of ideal. But, it’s here, in Pensacola! I’ve always liked small, cozy places and this fits the bill! Music is part blues/classic(think S&G). Then the food… red snapper. I eat out all the time… But this is the best piece of fish I’ve had. Come by folks and enjoy!

It’s a beautiful restaurant, intimate and perfectly lit. They have a full bar now and hired a new chef this week. I went at 7 on a Saturday, it wasn’t too busy, and the service was great. The blackened chicken Alfredo was good.

I came here during a Gallery Night since it was one of the few places that had same day reservations. I mean, this place has a non-surprising 3.5 stars. I try my best to not let that affect my experience but this was truly a time where I should’ve listened to Unilocalers and avoiding the joint. Basically, the consensus is that the food is just not good. They need a new head chef or something. Is there even a head chef or is it just line cooks? Who knows –the food just needs to improve or there’ll be no return customers. So, do not come here for the food – maybe come for some live jazz and a drink, but food is not something you should use your money on here. To end on a positive note, I did like the live jazz. The lady on the piano was singing through a headset, which is pretty tacky. I feel like no singer/rapper ever should be singing through a headset microphone unless there are circumstances which dictate a tacky performance(like one man bands). There’s something about a stand alone mic, hanging or on a boom stand, along with mood lighting, that makes music like jazz more enjoyable.

I can’t imagine how this place got all the glowing reviews. Not my experience at all. Unbelivable! Made a Unilocal reservation but we weren’t on the list when we arrived. Unfortunately they had a table available anyway. To the point — grossly overpriced mediocre food and ho-hum service. Had to beg for water. My ribeye was fatty and tough, which they tried to cover up with some awful gravy. «Shrimp» soup with no shrimp! A «jazz» trio was trying terribly hard to put people to sleep. Get the idea? We won’t be returning… one star is too many really. Also — if you are going to name your restaurant after one of the greatest artists of all time, please don’t hang truly terrible art on your walls

Had this planned via Unilocal for tomorrow. Went directly to the venue’s website to look at the menu only to find they are closed for kitchen remodeling and«financial issues». Called the phone and received a recorded message also saying they were closed. No reopening date provided. Yet you can still today make a reservation on Unilocal… Not very reliable.

Reservation via Unilocal was super easy. Rudy, the GM, greeted us at the door and seated us at an intimate table for two near the front of the restaurant which was perfect as we wanted to be able to converse with one another. This is an intimate, small setting, with candlelight, quieter tables near the front and tables closer to the musicians near the back. There is also bar seating of maybe 15 bar stools. Hands down best house salad. We ordered it with the creamy Gorgonzola dressing rather than the vinaigrette that it regularly comes with… the ingredients tasted very fresh and included small purple, orange, yellow and red tomatoes. The lettuce was a mixture and included ruffle lettuce which was delicious. There were also small curved pieces of bell pepper(red) which complemented it well. It seemed so simple but was absolutely delicious. I had a shrimp portobello appetizer for my main course. It included 3 shrimp, sliced portobello mushrooms, large breadcrumbs and cheese. The portion was nice for an appetizer for one or two people but I wouldn’t recommend as an entrée as it is on the small side. My SO ordered the pork chop and it was divine. Perfectly cooked, not dry, moist and complemented with a Dijon sauce spread along dish. We also enjoyed a bottle of champagne; Rudy noticed when our glasses were low and replenished, ladies first. Our waitress did a good job but IMO she should have known the nightly specials without retrieving her notepad and should refill the ladies drink first. Rudy noticed our needs when the waitress was not nearby. Note this restaurant bar has wine and champagne… no hard liquor. We loved the ambiance and fresh food. We will be returning and are happy to visit a restuarant in Pensacola that can compete with the food and service we are accustomed to in Houston, Tx.

My husband and I were visiting and just happened to stumble upon this restaurant last weekend. I was so pleased with this place that I wish it was in my town. We ordered: 1) Pork Belly 2) Eggplant Rollatini 3) Lamb Chops with Cauliflower Flan 4) Chocolate Cake Every single dish on our table was amazing. I couldn’t get enough! Not sure if there is music every night of the week or just on Saturdays, but it really added to the ambiance. Lastly, the hostess/waitress that we had was AMAZING. Anyone going downtown for dinner tonight needs to try this place.

This place is fantastic. The food, amazing. The music, great! The atmosphere, phenomenal! I cannot say enough about this establishment. Finally, a good, well priced, and comfortable spot in downtown Pensacola that is not pretentious like it’s neighbor GG. The perfect place to stop for Happy Hour and maybe stay for a few appetizers to share or order a meal to share. Even the entrée is not too oversized either. I come here as often as I can. The menu changes often which is also great.

Stopped here after dinner at another place for a glass of wine before calling it an evening. Really glad we did. Very pleased that a place like this exists in Pensacola. I ended up having a second glass of Malbec because the evening’s entertainment was just starting to get good. We didn’t have food because we just had come from another place but we agreed that we will definitely go back and have dinner.

3.5(but there’s no 3.5) Ate here for lunch on a Friday. The staff was attentive, but it took a long time to get the food. They currently do not have their liquor license, but are working on it. They do serve wine and beer. Atmosphere is dark, calm, and artsy. A lot if unique art from local artist. I ordered the butternut squash soup and the French Dip sandwich. The tomato on the soup over powered the squash, but it was still good. Sandwich was tasty– full if flavor and I really liked the side pasta fish. My boyfriend ordered the same soup and the chicken sandwich. I would have given it 4 stars, but it took so long to get our sandwiches. It’s still not a bad place and I’ll go back. My total bill: $ 31

The atmosphere is nice, but the service staff is so rude and lazy. They acted like they didn’t want us there. We asked if the band was playing again and they said didn’t know, then they stood at the bar yawning and giving dirty looks.

I’ve been hearing a lot of buzz about this place so decided to stop in for a drink after the parade. I wasn’t familiar with the wine list and the girls behind the bar helped me pick a great one. I can wait to go back and try the food. I was spying on some of the other tables, to get a glimpse of what they were eating and it all looked great. I think this place will be a great addition to downtown Pensacola. From the second I walked in, I was greeting by a gentleman(manager?) and made to feel at home by the staff. I’ll definitely be back, and with friends.
