Great view, best for a nice place to grab a drink. The food was basic bar food. I would not recommend the seafood here, taste like frozen fish sticks. Your paying for the view.

Ate here for dinner and had a great time with the family. The food was good, the view was great. The Grouper bites were good, gumbo was just ok.

Food was good… typical fried seafood and sandwiches… shrimp po boy was really good. Our daughter loves the outdoor playground and the sunset was absolutely beautiful.

Okay, this place has a beautiful view and good music on Sunday morning… but that is it. My sandwich on sour dough bread was really thick white bread, the sweet potato fries were from a bag, and the grouper lunch was almost inedible(more like cod). Service was terrible.

Blackened Mahi Poboy was great. Kids loved the playground.

Food is solid… some things definitely better than others but haven’t had anything that I absolutely hated. What makes this place so great is really the family friendliness and the scenery. They have a fenced in sand playground so the kids can play and even outside if they want… it’s very nice and safe. Awesome place to walk to with the kids, especially if your staying close by.

Tried this hidden gem out on Mother’s Day(delayed post, I know!), and was glad I did. Family atmosphere(babies, and pet’s included!), and right on the water. Literally. If you’re staying the weekend at a beach house in the peninsula, you can drive your boat right up to their dock and take a seat at any of their outdoor booths or tables. We sat outdoors, right next to the dock(w a pretty good view), so I can’t give too much info as to their indoor seating. Very casual, moderately priced. My father was going to give the grouper a try, but ended up ordering the shrimp, along w myself; my husband ordered fish tacos(which he added were«filling, but more along the lines of a fish wrap»). Pretty darn tasty, overall. PS. Parking lot located behind/to the right of the Holiday Harbor Marina. You’ll pass a few houses on the right — keep going down and you can’t miss it!

We stopped there on our way from the airport, looking for a place to have a quick lunch. We were all very happy, the fish was very fresh. I ordered a fried fish basket, all the pieces were all quality fish. Service was nice too, they were very accommodating to our daughter’s food requirements, made some rice just for her.

Great place, right on the water. Food is typical beachside fare. The grouper was the stand out, in all forms. The fried grouper bites, as well as the grouper Po Boy we excellent. I had the scallop Po Boy which was ok. Prices and portions are fair. They have both car and boat parking. A playground for the kids, and dogs are welcome. A vast majority of the seating is outdoors, so you won’t necessarily cool off on a hot summer day, but the grouper(and the remoulade sauce) are worth it.

We live here. The setting is perfect the food is just ok. The staff is awesome. Hard to park a boat. On the expensive side. Better places to eat.

Great place to grab a drink at sunset. Right on the water, so if you have a boat, this place is prime I rated this 4 stars, mostly for the location. Wouldn’t come here for dinner again(3 bad experiences). Granted, the salads are pretty good and enormous.

Nothing special about the food, but the view is amazing! Hush puppies were obviously not homemade and the shrimp tasted like they were fried in the same grease as the chicken. The gumbo was not tasty. The playground is great for littles(preschool and younger).

This place is wonderful! We rented a boat for a few hours and ended up in a downpour. Even though they weren’t open yet they let us dock at their restaurant and go in to sit down. If that wasn’t enough their food was fantastic! Popcorn shrimp was well seasoned and not over breaded. The burger was huge and very tasty and juicy! Chicken tenders were very meaty. The grouper Reuben was delish so I was told. If you want an appetizer their fried pickles were awesome with their cucumber sauce they bring out with them! We will definitely go back on our future trips to Orange Beach!

Great spot! The fried pickles were so good we had 2 orders and it comes with a cucumber wasabi sauce — delicious! The fish is fresh and tasty. Service is excellent and prompt. My husband enjoyed the ice cold beer.. What more could you ask for?!? We’ll definitely be back.

Went here for an early dinner, and was awestruck at the view! A little place on the harbor, with seating inside and outside. We sat outside, where boats were mooring up and folks walking up to eat. We ordered fried dill pickles and mini crab cakes for appetizers. Then ordered a grilled scallop po-boy with a side of cheese grits! Very good food, although the server brought my Aunt the wrong sandwich, she ate it, and loves it too! Good price, and great view!

Come for drinks and appetizers and the sunset but go elsewhere for dinner. Over priced for what you get. It was easy to see that our server was having a bad day and it effected her quality of service. She brought out our first round of drinks and apps and took our order then we didn’t see her again until after out food came out over 35 mins later. We had to flag down another waitress to put in a second round of drinks. The food was just blah. Not a single person in our party of 10 had any thing enthusiastic to say about their meals and everyone ordered something different. I will say that their cucumber martini was pretty dang good!

I guess you pay for the sunset because when I got the check and it was 147.00 for lunch and we didnt drink, I almost had a heart attack. I had the blackened grouper sandwich with soup. The soup was not hot it was lukewarm at best. My sandwich had a funk to it. It tasted like old fish. Not edible. Wife had the same problem with her sandwich. The view was good tho and service was solid.

The saving grace of this place is the views. We tried a couple of the appetizers and soups and were underwhelmed. The seafood chowder had very fresh ingredients but the broth itself was lacking. Same thing with the seafood gumbo. It had fresh ingredients but no depth of flavor at all. The sautéed crab claws were way too salty and very small. The smoked tuna dip wasn’t a dip, it was a salad. It did have a nice smokey flavor though and was the star of the night. The high prices were a turn off as well. We’ll be back for drinks and the sunset but will skip on the food.

Asking locals for restaurant recommendations can be a great way to discover a diamond in the rough, which is how we discovered Sunset Grille. A seatmate on my sister’s flight to Pensacola claimed Sunset Grille was one of the best around. And they were right. It’s worth the effort to seek out. Under cover of darkness we felt like explorers searching for hidden treasure. Sunset Grille is tucked behind a marina at the end of a gravel road under the bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway. If you’ve eaten at Oyster Bar you’re close to Sunset Grille. It’s an unassuming place but the food really shines. Seafood gumbo was impressive with a flavorful roux that had us fighting over the last drops. Blackened shrimp was grilled and seasoned perfectly, not with a heavy hand or overly spicy. And when the waitress recommended a dish I’d been contemplating, the Grouper Reuben, I had to have it. I would have enjoyed the grouper without all the Reuben trimmings, but this was a unique and tasty offering. Even the baked beans were special, dressed up with chunks of pepper, ground beef and special seasoning. Only the cheese grits came up short with not enough cheesy taste for our palate. Add Sunset Grille to your beach restaurant repertoire. It will become a regular stop.

Atmosphere, food and service over the top. Fried pickles were the best we have had this trip. Grouper Ruben was excellent — very fresh fish. Panko Onion Rings — superb. Gumbo was very tasty. You could have Micky D’s happy meal and it might go 4 stars on atmosphere bump. The kids playground is unique and has some old jet skis that the kids seem to fight over.
