The service is almost as good as the bottomless fries, I tried the up charge for the burger with bacon in the ground beef, and totally worth the extra $ 1 Kinda bummed they’re not open Sundays, but that won’t stop me from coming.

Love this place! I usually get a pasta bread bowl and it’s fantastic! My husband loves their taco pizza. I just wish they were open on Sundays. Besides that they’re great!

Second visit here and it was just as good as the first! Had the Lettuce, bacon, peanut butter burger and it was just as good as I heard! They also have bottomless fries with their burgers!

The owners/staff have a great balance of helpful and friendly going here at Kaydee Kats. I’ve been wanting to dine here for almost a year and finally stopped in to share pizza with a friend. The pizza was incredible! Here’s the combo we tried if you’re looking for a recommendation: pesto sauce, mozzarella pizza cheese blend, tomatoes, roasted garlic, red onion, Peppadew, banana peppers, & chicken. Not sure what a peppadew is? We weren’t either. Stop in and try one. (Side note: chipotle dipping sauce is great with the jalapeño poppers. Not a low cal night for us, but absolutely worth it!)

We were excited to visit this place as we had heard so much about the good food. Unfortunately after a couple of our party entered the restaurant to secure our seat events followed forcing us to leave in disgust without even sitting down. The two members of our party entered and there was no one to greet them, nor did it seem anyone was working there at all. There were a few what they thought were patrons seated at a table. They read a sign that they thought said seat yourself. They did not see the rest of the sign that said for parties of 8 or more please wait. They proceeded to a table and moved chairs away to pull a table to another. Still no one said anything to them. Then when they began moving the table the«three patrons» from the table immediately got up in alarm and began asking them what they were doing and telling our people that they were not to move anything, spouting comments about fire codes and having to adjust table legs when tables get moved extremely rudely rolling eyes and giving them disgusted looks. When the rest of us arrived the altercation was still going on while they prepared a table for us. After a minute or two of the«workers» arguing with us and telling us we should have read the sign while they were apparently enjoying quiet time or whatever they were doing when we came in we decided we would take our appetites and money elsewhere. If you are going to run a business take care of your customers and if you have special rules talk to them as they enter letting them know in a manner that is not arrogant, berating, threatening and condescending. We won’t be back and as a group of people working in the hospitality industry we will never recommend your establishment to anyone.

Been here a few times over the years. Always enjoy the food and the people. Usually I am with family but this time we were a group of co-workers for lunch. Even on a busy lunch hour we got ordered and served quickly and everyone raved about their food. I don’t eat a lot of beef but when I do I like a good burger. And that is what you get here. Nice char on the edges and delicate flavorful meat inside. Someone back there knows not too over handle the meat too keep it tender! The sandwiches usually have ciabatta buns, but that’s more bead than I like so I have a whole wheat bun. Just a little veg in tomato and fresh lettuce. The onions are thin, thin, shreds so you can use as little or as much as you want. The fries are thin, little, delicious, delicate things. And you can have all you want. Refills on fries are free!!! I have often contemplated taking the burger home and having a french fry only dinner. I would gladly shame myself on those fries. I like mine with mayo(don’t judge). You can get malt vinegar upon request, and I do. There were a bunch of burgers and fries on the table and there were also friends there with meat and other dietary restrictions who were happy with the variety of choices for them on the menu. The Mediterranean pizza was a big hit. They all loved it. Garlicky pesto, huge chunks of artichokes, stringy cheese. They also had hummus and at the first bite everyone was nodding and saying how delicious it was. Freshly made, very good, and very fresh bread to go with. They were well fed too! Not just a burger joint! They have a nice beer, wine, drink selection, at least as far as what comes from a cooler. Hey, a cold drink is good regardless of where it comes from. There is some outside seating. It can get busy at lunch but that didn’t affect our lunch. The food was great, people were great, and we were out quickly. More than just the best burgers in town. Check them out!

A locally owned great place to eat. Casual dining. Great burgers and unlimited homemade fries. Absolutely love their Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta Bowl. Have been there several times to eat and have never been disappointed — I am sure you won’t be either.

Me and a friend met for lunch here. I wanted a salad but ordered a burger since that’s what they are famous for. I got it with blue cheese, lettuce, and tomatoe. The waitress said it is cooked to a certain temperature and no need to say how I want it. It came with a mound of fries which are unlimited! When it arrived, I didn’t think it looked good– it was very flat. But I liked he flavor a lot. I ate the whole thing. Fries were pretty good too. They have the skin on them which I prefer. Sweet tea was constantly refilled as well. Great pleasant service. Place was not crowded so it was easy to talk.

This was hands down the best burger in the Peoria area. My wife and I both had the Kaydee Kat burger(which has bacon in the meat) and fries– fast service even though they were busy and the food was amazing. Great staff that is attentive and always on the move– A++++ you have to try this place out! A hidden gem in Peoria where the old Pizza Hut used to be on Prospect.

Very good burgers and good service. My family always gets the Crown Royal Burger … it has a fried egg on the burger. All Burgers include UNLIMITED French fries. Get the deep fried pickles appetizer. So far they are the best that I have tried in the Peoria area. Update to my review … I have had their American Salad multiple times now, and it is really good. I wouldn’t normally get a salad at a burger place, but was trying to eat a little healthier, and let my son still be able to enjoy their burgers.

My wife and I have eaten at Kaydee Kats several times and that is unusual for us. We like to try new places often but we keep going back because it is so good. We have had really good to excellent service every time and the food is always great. In my opinion you cannot get a better burger in the Peoria area, as well as the best fried pickles. We have also had their pizzas a few times and found them to be great also. Lots of different toppings, I am not a fan of sweet sauces so I always ask for regular. It is a great place to stop for a burger and a beer!

Stopped in for lunch and were seated right away and waitress was quick and attentive. Heard they had good burgers and Pizza so we tried them both. Got the Bianca pizza which was 5 different cheeses and bacon. Liked the taste, crust, and sauce all good would try it again. Also got the Burger Royale 1⁄3 pound with Cheese onions and a fried egg and mayo. Quality of meat was good however the Ciabbatta(sic?) bun would have been better suited to a ½ pound as the bread overwhelmed the burger. Overall was good, not as good as the Burger Barge in my opinion but would give it another chance.

My review is for take-out only so I can’t comment on the waitstaff but when I stopped in to pick up my pizza to-go, there were quite a few tables full and it was Tuesday so I take that as a good sign! I was in the mood for pizza and not some old pepperoni and cheese either. I got on their website and started scrolling through their gourmet pizza choices. There were a LOT of yummy sounding ones! The Pesto chicken(bleu cheese and bacon in addition to the pesto and chicken!) caught my eye and I called in my order. They only make one size of pizza so I asked what size it was and she first said it is for one person and then told me it is 6 «good-sized» pieces. There must be a lot of people for whom 6 pieces of pizza is a single meal but I am not one of them so I was happy for the option of making a second meal of cold pizza. I was there promptly in 15 minutes and my pizza was hot and ready to go. Almost $ 12 with tax and I was impressed at first glance in the car at the truly good-sized 6 pieces waiting for me. There was just a hint of the bleu cheese but the pesto was awesome and there was plenty of white meat chicken chunks too. The onion was finely chopped and amply spread under the cheese. On top of the cheese were delicious crumbles of very crunchy bacon bits– REAL bacon bits! This was a very decadant pie between the bacon and the bleu cheese but I managed to put away 3 slices and finish off the rest cold the next day. Not bad for $ 12 bucks! I will definitely keep them on the top of my list for my next pizza craving. Like so many other places in this area, they are closed on Sunday which is soooooo disappointing. If there is one day of the week I wanto to veg out and not cook, it is Sunday. The places that are open are so few and far between :(

Probably one of the better burgers in town. And yes, I’ve been to all of them — Ludys, Jim’s Bistro, Burger Barge, Ulrichs(old Sullivan’s). Ranks right up there. Please don’t compare it to the greasy, smelly chain Five Guys. Kaydee’s is better. We went here on a tip from a friend without any preconceptions. Ordered the blended burger with bacon«the Kaydee Kat». Very flavorful. I’d give it 5 stars, if they’d have dressed the place up a bit, but you can’t go wrong by starting out with good food. Service was fine. I want to go back and try their pizza. Lastly, we also judge a restaurant based on the cleanliness of their restrooms in addition to the food. This place has very clean restrooms.

I really wanted to like Kaydee Kats. With all of the good reviews, I thought I’d find an excellent burger joint. We dined this evening, and the place was busy. Service was good, despite it being so busy. I ordered a build your own burger with the regular beef. My husband had the Kaydee Kat burger, which is the beef/bacon mixture patty. He liked his. His theory was that it had enough toppings on it to mask the meat flavor. I did not care for my burger at all. I’ve had much, much better meat, even at ‘chain’ restaurants. It tasted like flavorless grocery store beef. For a $ 9 burger, I expected more than that. I took two bites and couldn’t bring myself to eat the rest. I ate the fries, which I wasn’t terribly fond of, either. Overcooked. All of that aside, I did see several pizzas come out to customers, and they looked great. I would come back to try a pizza, but I won’t get another burger here.

I came in on a Friday evening, and it was busy, but not over crowded. The building is very obviously an old Pizza Hut, providing some space but not much ambiance. The wait staff was friendly and very attentive to us; based on another review, I would say maybe you had an exception(or maybe we did too.) The food was outstanding! I had a Kaydee Kat burger which is a blend of angus beef and bacon, and I used bleu cheese, barbecue sauce, onion, tomato, and something called«boom boom sauce». It was delectable. So much flavor in this burger. The fries were quite good too, very fresh, and you get as many of them as you want. My wife ordered a chicken«burger» sandwich with mushrooms, onions, and«a little boom boom on the side», which sounds like euphemism for an extra-marital affair. Her food was pretty good too, but not as flavorful as the beef/bacon blend. The sign in front compares it to Five Guys, saying«Five Guys Who?» and while I was skeptical, I think it delivered. I will DEFINITELY be returning to have this burger again and probably to try one of the yummy looking pizzas.

Well. Consider me confused. Having read the reviews, I was expecting good food and questionable service. I got great food and particularly attentive service. So either the lunch crew is different from the night crew, or there’s been particular attention paid to the quality of service in the last month. In any case, I’m reviewing my experience, so here goes. I ordered a teriyaki pineapple burger, Kaydee style, which here means… bacon. Why not, you know? Bacon and pineapple are a grilled match in heaven, I say. There was a lot to like about this burger. The bun wasn’t particularly memorable, but it tasted good. What was memorable? The pineapple in the burger, which tasted like it was marinated with the teriyaki and a mayo-based mixture that had just the right amount of spice for the burger. To my pleasant surprise, the burger wasn’t aggravatingly sweet, which can happen when you cook with the cheap stuff in the bottle. No, this tasted very much like homemade. The meat was moist, and the bacon had some sort of treatment that was explained in great detail, and I forgot most of it. It tasted great, and more to the point, as good as or better than what I typically grill at home. Good job. The sweet potato fries were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. A pinch of salt and they were just right. My wife got chicken with BBQ sauce, ranch and cheddar. The chicken was pretty clearly brined, because it was very moist and was not at all bland. I had just a few bites, but that’s enough for me to tell the difference between chicken grilled to oblivion, and a good tasting chicken breast. Service wasn’t exactly superb, but they checked up on us every 7 – 10 minutes or so and kept our glasses full. I didn’t think any of the servers were rude, and they made sure we were satisifed with our meal. They seemed friendly and recognized my mother-in-law… and chatted her up. Not sure what else I would ask for. At roughly $ 13 per plate, Kaydee Kats is an excellent addition to the Peoria Heights downtown area. The interior is a bit… interesting… it has many remnants of the old Pizza Hut that used to be in that location, but in spite of all the windows, the carpet and ceiling are colored black. Which sure makes it feel dark in there. That’s a tiny quibble though. I would most certainly encourage everyone living in Peoria to give this place a run.

The food is excellent. The pizza has a great crust. The burgers are mouthwatering. The hummus was flavorful and the pita bread was fresh and warm. Our waitress was friendly, but not particularly attentive. We had two rounds of drinks before she offered to take our order. It was a slow Wednesday night and the place was only 1⁄3 full. The hummus was comped by the manager because it took almost 20 minutes to arrive. The burgers and pizza were another 20. To make matters worse, two of the six meals came out wrong. I really hope they can turn the service around. The food is great.

Well, you can’t make it on great food alone. You really need have good service as well. We sat down and our server came over and greeted us and asked for our drink order. We gave it and she asked if this was our first time in, and we replied it was. I then asked«Where is your meat from?» Thinking maybe a Gourmet Burger place might use locally sourced meat. The reply was«I don’t know, it’s Angus but I don’t know where it comes from.» Server– the answer should be «I don’t know but I can find out!» If it’s from Sysco, so be it! If you’re happy with the quality of your product, you should be able to cite where it’s from. So the server asked if we were ready and we said we needed a other minute. After a minute, we were ready and set our menus aside.(Just like the international sign for ‘we need our check’, this was the sign for ‘we’re ready to order’. Well we waited while the server talked at the hostess stand. We waited while the server talked in the kitchen. We waited while our server joined another server at a table to count a tip. We waited while our server brought a refill to the table next to us and walked right by. I had to be at class in 40 minutes at Bradley, so we should have just left. But instead I got up and approached the THREE servers chatting at the hostess stand and said«we’d like to order…»(Three servers + Three tables = BORED servers) Our waitress then came over and took our order. I ordered the standard 1⁄3 lb BBQ Burger(according to the menu burgers are 1⁄3 lb but you can upgrade to ½ for an extra $ 1.00) My wife ordered the Bianca Pizza. Our food came shortly thereafter. My burger was HUGE– Three patties on a Ciabatta bun. I took one patty off and set it aside-I am not a fan of HUGE burgers. The wife’s pizza was perfectly cooked, with a nice crispy neopolitan crust and several different cheeses. When the bill came I saw why my burger was so big. The server had ordered the Upgraded ½ lb burger and charged me 9.99 instead of the menu standard 1⁄3 burger. Look– Kaydee Kats owners, if you read this, you have REALLY good food! But you have to get your service in line. It felt like we were sitting in your living room while your indignant teenage children were being forced to serve us. If you want to allow the kitchen to be a place for employees to hang out and chat, install doors so we cannot see the fact that they’re just chatting while we are being ignored.
