When you first walk in, it’s a great atmosphere. The décor is fun and inviting. Then it gets to the real issues. The bartender was extremely unfriendly. The service is AWFUL. With only 6 people in the entire place, we waited 15 minutes for waters then another 35 minutes for a salad. We ended up getting our drinks ourselves at the bar. My drink(same thing I always get everywhere I go) literally tasted like poison. It was terrible. Instead of a twist of lime, I got a glass of lime juice. She took it back & mixed some syrup in it & gave it back to me. Yuck! My friend said the salad was delicious with perfectly cooked chicken and homemade croutons. We decided to not get any other drinks and go elsewhere. Would never go here again.

Went in Saturday afternoon, bar was almost empty. We got to check out the areas and see the bar without a whole lot going on. Great space. Drinks were slow to be made by 1 of 3 people working. Had three appetizer, onion rings, Philly egg rolls, salmon kabobs. Nothing really great. Couple of drinks from the special menu, not real special. Fish and chips was the best item, but came with only one medium filet. Would only go back if the bar scene had something interesting going on.

Went in on a Thursday night around 730/8pm. It took us a few minutes to get seated. When we were sat our table still needed cleaning. Our waitress was prompt with our drink order but acted inconvenienced when we weren’t ready to place our food order. My girlfriend and I ended up sharing a Cuban sandwich with fries and ordered some onion rings as an app. We ended up getting both our appetizer and our sandwich at the same time after quite a wait. None of the dishes were hot when we received them, it was pretty evident they had been sitting in the window for awhile. The onion rings had potential(beer battered and served with remoulade sauce) but were a soggy, greasy mess. The sandwich came on toasted sourdough which was soggy around the edges. The fries were obviously old ones that were thrown back in to the deep-fryer; they were all stuck together in the shape of the fry basket. The dish also came with a small sampling of what I assume was supposed to be potato salad. It was topped with either bacon or fried onions, I couldn’t tell because they were just black flakes by that point. It would have been helpful if our server was available to fix this, but it seemed all of the wait staff were socializing with each other behind the bar. We were also the only table ordering food at that time. I was disappointed with the atmosphere, too. They advertise as being a «modern dive» but the entire place is covered in chrome and cheesy posters that the owner probably bought from Hobby Lobby. The jukebox blasted dub step and modern«pop» songs. All around I had an awful experience, if I wasn’t paying with a gift certificate I’d have asked to speak with a manager but at that point I was just in a hurry to get out of there. If you’re looking for a drink this probably isn’t a bad place, but if you’re looking to eat something skip it. I’ll never return.

Svelte Ashley and bubbly Kate(bartenders) will never let your drink run dry. A wide variety at clientele frequent Lucky’s and the people-watching is always entertaining. Top shelf drink specials and rotating tap handles provide nice variety and the food menu satisfies most tastes.

Stopped in last Friday as the divided portion of Lucky’s was open. This side is darker with club chairs and a quieter feel to it. They had really great selections of bourbon and whiskeys too. However, we stood around for about 10 minutes without anyone appearing behind the bar! The room was full of incredibly drunk people in their 50s/60s, none of whom could tell us where the bartender went(although obviously, they had all been served many, many drinks that evening as one woman we talked to nearly fell down). The Lucky’s side had a bartender who was very busy and so we didn’t get her attention to ask about the new side either. We left and went to Oliver’s where they have bartenders.

Myself and no one in my group were impressed by this business. Bar staff was somewhat rude and considering there were only 5 other patrons in the bar the drink wait was rediculous.

Everyone in my party loved their meal! We had a bacon cheese burger, fish sandwich, sliders, and the cuban sandwich. Why a star was taken off was all of our fries were cold and limp, and I found it a bit odd to serve fries and potato salad as the sides that come with each meal(potatoes x2). The potato salad was tiny, but very tasty! Again, the meals were delicious! The waitress was very sweet, but it was the end of the night and she was a bit rushed and she made it known that the restaurant was closing. She was probably performing other duties, so we helped ourselves to silverware and napkins, and had to ask for water after a while. We didn’t get our food until the restaurant was officially closed, but no one rushed us out. Each employee checked in with us to see if we needed more water or how our meal was tasting. They were very sweet and attentive. Something we weren’t aware of… and that’s our fault… is that most restaurants in Peoria Heights aren’t open on Sundays. This one is! Score! But they close at 8pm :/why, esp on a busy holiday weekend? Oh well. We watched them turn away many groups of people who were coming in for a drink. I would recommend coming here, but check the times, unlike we did. Oops!

I had been wanting to try this place for a while so my husband and I went one night. The dining room is very small and very loud so it was hard to have conversation without screaming at each other. It was pretty early but there were a lot of very loud and very drunk people in there already. The beer I picked out from the cute charlkboard wasn’t actually on tap and it looked like many of the beers listed weren’t available. I’m sure they paid good money to get that chalkboard done professionally but it needs to match the selection. I ended up getting a specialty cocktail which was actually really really good but too expensive for me to have more than one. My husband said his burger was«decent» and the nachos I had were okay but I didn’t care for the fake cheese. Overall this may be a good place to meet a friend for a drink if we sit outside where we can eat each other, but not a great dining experience. I would stick to mainly appetizers and focus on making the bar the main draw.

Man, I seriously hate leaving bad reviews. But this place wasn’t good at all and I feel I must warn the rest of you. We went on margarita and taco night, and everything was ridiculously subpar. The«margaritas»(and yes, I’m doing the finger quotes in the air as I say margaritas) were warm lime-flavored water in a mason jar. We got tired of trying to drink them, and ordered specialty cocktails off of the menu which were equally as horrible and watered down… and ridiculously overpriced. Ouch. Here’s the deal kids, I’ve been known to drink some terrible stuff just to catch a nice buzz, and this stuff was SO bad, I not only didn’t catch a buzz, I couldn’t force myself to drink any more. It was that brutal. Tacos — well, on one hand I didn’t mind them because they tasted exactly like the tacos from the take-home kits at the grocery store. I mean, I make them at home from time to time, so who am I to hate? But I expected better from a restaurant — especially in the Heights. Lastly, the service was rough. I don’t blame the waitresses. The poor girls were LITERALLY running to try to keep up with the customers. It took forever to order and receive anything. I tried to be as cool about it as possible & give the girls some slack, but it was still annoying to wait forever for everything. All in all, we have not been back since and will never go again. Save yourself.

I came here with some friends that I was visiting from out of town. It wasn’t as «dive-y» as I expected based on the reviews and I liked the big chalk board with the draft beers and other items(aka shots) that were available. We shared the deviled eggs appetizer with caviar and I ordered the fish tacos. Both were delicious! I also tried the pulled pork quesadilla that one of the members of our party ordered and it was very tasty. They had a wide selection of local and seasonal beers available. I got the beer flight which for $ 10 was a great deal since it came with six 3 – 4 ounce tasting glasses of all of the draft beers that they had on tap(including PBR — haha). I thought that this was a great place!

Very short menu. It’s pretty much just a bar. I had the nachos. They were great but the canned nacho cheese sucks the custom pulled pork on them was a twist and the fresh jalapeños were excellent, but the canned nacho cheese still sucked. The service was great.

Had lunch at Luckys today. The service and food was outstanding. Yeah, it’s mostly bar food but the tenderloin was one of the best I’ve had and the fries were very good as well. Both my companions meals looked very good as well and they had no complaints.

Ehh… I probably won’t go back. The food took a long time to come out even though they weren’t too busy. The cook was heavy-handed with the pepper & I don’t care for pepper. I had fish tacos & wouldn’t recommend them… not only because of my aversion to pepper but they were texturally unappealing & soggy. My son ordered the chicken bacon sandwich which he said was too spicy & he didn’t eat it. We all agreed we didn’t care for the onion rings. The waitresses seemed more interested in chatting than in working. My daughter and I were both cold & couldn’t wait to get outside to warn up.

Food was sub par. Staff was awful. Get it together. Gastro pub with no gastro. If this is what Peoria is touring as it’s hip place to go and it’s leading trendy hang out then I pity those who live here. I looked in the kitchen during the peak of service and was shocked to see the cooks throwing food at each other. Staff needs to take it to the next level and be professional. You’re not there to party

An okay bar with okay food. Not a bad place to spend some time. They have miniature garage doors that open up and let you enjoy the soon to come nicer weather while having a drink. The atmosphere is casual and the décor is what one would expect. Good service and clean surroundings.

This place blows, but it’s a typical Peoria«trend bar.» Give it three or four weeks and the novelty and the crowds will die down, just like they always do. Go there early, because if you show up at 8, you won’t get a table. Peoria is full of geriatric clowns who think they can still drink and socialize, but they’d be better off at an assisted living community with people their own age. It’s a couples bar, not a single’s bar, so don’t think about picking up a woman, unless threesomes are your thing. Also, don’t go to talk, because you can’t hear over the douchebags.

Just what the Heights was missing. A laid back«modern dive». I think the modern dive term comes from the fun and tacky décor. Service has been excellent. Menu is pretty cool — it’s on the shorter side but enough to keep me coming back. Its the grown up version of the loud corner tavern– with better food. Fish tacos and blackened grouper are highlights among the chicken sangwhich, burgers, and wings. The wings! House sauce is mildly hot with a tang. It is delicious and tastes great with their blue cheese dip/dressing. Deviled eggs topped with tobiko caviar were awesome. This is a must try for Peorians.
