Going on a super-busy Friday night was a little overwhelming at this place your order at the counter and wait to pay pizza joint. They serve beer & wine but it comes from the same single lady at the only register who has about 50 people in line waiting to pay so drink slow, that will be your only one of the evening. It’s also very smoky smelling inside from the wood fired oven(which really looks like it could use a bigger vent!!) so I recommend sitting outside if at all possible. Pizzas only come in 10″ which is about enough for one really hungry person but not really enough for two moderately hungry people. It DOES leave you with leftovers which help to justify the $ 26 bill. Plus you get to try two kinds which is a total win. I might sound like I’m complaining a lot for that 4 star score but the PIZZAISAMAZING. Wowza, I’ll forgo my usual copious drinking and stand in a huge line to order up this pizza any night. The crust is just literally the best crust I’ve ever tasted with the perfect amount of chew. They participate in the Order 2 Eat system so you can get delivery of this amazing pie and forgo all those complaints I have and enjoy as many beers as you want at home while stuffing your face with the best dough to grace this earth. I wish they would add some kind of breadstick or knot

Pizza was soggy, and of poor quality for the price. Dough was bland and definitely pre-made as there didn’t seem to be enough room for fresh dough to be made. If you’re looking for fast, casual, mediocre for price pizza, this is your spot.

Love the atmosphere and pizza. The owners are extremely hard workers and have put in their heart and soul to the place which reflects it’s excellence. I hope they are around for many years to come. If you’re looking for great and tasty pizza then check it out.

This place has the best pizza in town !! The pizza is delicious with tasty toppings. The base is not too thick like regular pizza, it’s just the right thickness and crusty at the end. They have delicious speciality pizzas, vegetarian and gluten free pizzas.

The inside of the restaurant is nice and you order at the front, kinda like Sugar but designed better. I ordered the sausage with peppers and the wait time was typical, not fast, not slow. The pizzas have a pretty good presentation, but there was a lack of flavor in every aspect. The crust has good texture, but there was no flavor whatsoever. This also goes for the cheese, sauce(or lack there of), and the toppings(also lacking). Very disappointed as the presentation was promising. Won’t be coming back, especially for the prices. After tax it is $ 12 for a personal pizza. I would rather get a deal on a chain pizza and save some money and get more flavor, unfortunately.

Great pizza, lots of excellent toppings, and the quality is very good. Downside is there’s not much variety other than that. There’s only one size of pizza and at $ 13 per, it would be nice to have a larger size for takeout. Maybe they have this but if they do I missed it. I would suggest they need a better soft drink machine… like the electronic ones where you have huge amount of variety and selection. Really cool location and interior décor.

This place is delicious. I’ve tried«the brienzo» which I highly recommend! I’ve also tried bbq chicken which is delicious as well. I also have made my own, but to be honest«the brienzo» is still my favorite!!! I crave this pizza! Yum!

I have ate here several times and would recommend if you’d like to try a good wood fired single serve pizza. Food has been consistently good(good every time I’ve gone) — right amount of flavor and toppings. Menu has some variation and you can mix ‘n match/make your own if you like. Service has been friendly and generally is quick(minus peak times).

I heard about this place because it was on the pizza wars list. When I printed the coupons it was the only place that didn’t actually have a coupon. It just said come try one of their pizzas! It was a cute place. Nice outdoor seating area. This is another one of those unique places. You don’t just sit down and order. They have a «Subway» feel. A glass wall separates you from the work space where you pick out what you want. We had no idea about this process and no one seemed to want to clue us in. We finally asked how this all works and were given a brief description about ordering our pizzas. I think all they serve are individual 7 inch pizzas but that’s what I’m guessing. Good amount of options for toppings. I asked about the salad when I got to the register and apparently I was suppose to order that when I ordered my pizza. If things were explained a little better I would have. Once getting the food it was really good. My husband and I both enjoyed our pizzas. I thought they were cooked well. I had never had a wood fired pizza so I can’t compare that aspect. I can just say I enjoyed the first one I have ever had.

The pizza was fine(though I’m partial to the excellent wood-fired pizza at Sugar in downtown Peoria). The real problem I had concerned the poor layout and organization of the self-serve process on a busy Friday night. The place felt crowded and it was nearly impossible to get back to the restrooms because of the table layout or to get back to the soda fountain area to get a napkin or fork. To me, it wasn’t worth the extra drive to Junction City when Sugar is closer and in my opinion, has better pizza.

The reviews for this place are mixed and I think it has to do with what you expect. We shared a Chicken BBQ pizza. In case you don’t know, a 10 inch pizza is a personal one, so we really were just doing it to try it out. It was one of the tastier Chicken BBQ pizza’s I ever had. Didn’t look that great when it came out, but the taste made up for it. Also got a beer here that you don’t normally find, so was nice to have something different on tap. Place is nice. Basically you are talking about a higher end pizza shop with a decent selection of beer. If you want a night out as adults and are looking for a pizza shop that’s a little classier with beer, this is probably your place. Prices match that element. If you want a place to take your family(especially kids), I’d skip it. Like others said, it’s another pricey restaurant placed in Junction City. Visit it while you can since the restaurants up here tend to close pretty fast. I wouldn’t expect them to be here too many years.

Some of the best pizza I’ve had in Peoria! Great atmosphere, friendly employees and a business I will be visiting again. If you haven’t been here, you HAVE to check it out

First timer here and the pizza was beyond perfect. Flaky, crispy crust with succulent cheeses and sauces. Mouth watering flavor that explodes in your mouth. Makes me forget VOP’s was once here in J-City.

If you want to pay way too much for what might be a pretty good pizza… But might be burned AND doughy at the same time… and in either case is going to have sparse ingredients and is going to leave you feeling hungry because it is so small… Then this is the place for you! They have some unique pizzas and the ambiance is decent — that’s the only good things I have to say about this place. They must be getting completely hosed by high rent here to be charging so much for so little. I have been here 3 times(the last time being drug here for lunch by a coworker friend). That time I managed to get charged almost 20 bucks for(no drink) a pizza and a small salad… I had ordered a small, was charged for large, and got a tiny(oh and it had frozen lettuce too — yuck). I won’t be back.

Ewwwwwwwwwwww! Brienzo’s!!! I feel queasy just thinking about it. Here’s the deal — bad pizza is still pizza which means that it’s still pretty good because it’s pizza dammit! So in my opinion, you have to be pretty spectacularly terrible to be BADPIZZA. The pizza we ordered wasn’t cooked enough — it was mushy and doughy. I mean, isn’t that the point of wood fired pizza? Crispy yet chewy crust? ITWASSOGGYANDMUSHY! Epic fail, Brienzo’s, epic fail. The toppings were hard to find on my expensive pizza — It was the«Where’s Waldo» of pizza toppings.(I took pictures of the pizza just for proof that I’m not crazy. I’ll try to post them for y’all.) Overall, this place is an overpriced rip off with bad pizza. PS, this is an extra sad story because we had wanted to go for a while & were super excited when we finally made it to eat there :(

Best pizza in Peoria. I love unique restaurants, but tend to be a little hesitant of a restaurant with a gimmick. Peoria had seen an influx of wood fire pizzerias and honestly I was underwhelmed with them, until I tried this place. The pricing was reasonable and the pizza is always full of flavor. It is cooked to perfection and you do not get a pizza that is burnt or under done. I love the craft brews on tap to enjoy with it as well! In the summer they have live acoustic music outside on the patio, which makes for a great environment. Plenty of room. I definitely recommend this place! Not to mention that it is a local business!

This place Plays In Peoria! Way better quality than the crap they serve at other local pizza joints like Avanti’s or Davis brothers. Wood fired oven smells delicious and enticing. Fresh toppings and crisp crust. Worth trying!

This place is great– pizzas are awesome been there 4 or 5 times and it’s consistently great– the owners work the business so it’s high attention to detail. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed.

We lived in Italy(briefly) before moving to Peoria, and we have been crying over our pizzas since then. The pizza at most places in town has a cracker-like crust and often has provolone cheese, two things I do NOT like in my pizza. Our pizzas here were the closest we’ve had to «Italian» pizzas, anywhere in central Illinois: foldable crust, mozz cheese, cooked well. Taste gets an A+. Cons: There was a slight panic about getting an open table, and the ordering area was cramped, but looking on the bright side– I’m happy they are doing well as a new business in Junction City.

Average pizza place, traveled all over the country and had numerous wood fired pizza. This would be on my low end of wood fired pizza… The Gluten Free Dough is too chewy. And the pizzas need to be cooked a little longer, all three of our pizzas were soft, not crispy like wood fired pizza should be. They had a great selection of tap beers though. This place is new and I’m hoping my next visit is better as they get a little more experience cooking the pizza.
