First time visiting this place and I wasn’t impressed. Prices were very high for what you got. $ 9 burger + $ 4 side of fries. Burger was small and fries were very greasy. Not impressed! Can get a better burger for less just about anywhere. Wings were average and again overpriced for the portion. On the positive side, the beer selection was great, I counted 24 beers on tap. Won’t be going back on my own accord.

Great food. Had the hand breaded wings in Cajun rub. They were good sized for boneless and the dry rub had just the right amount of kick. The fries were fresh and not at all salty. The burger was ok and a but overpriced. The brisket po boy was solid, plenty of meat and good bread. But the hit of the mean was the side of beans. They had great flavor and generous amounts of pork and sausage. We didn’t try the pizza but it looked delicious. The atmosphere is clean and open with several tvs. Very good draft beer selection with 24 handles. Pretty good bottle and can selection. The service was a bit slow to begin with but picked up. Only complaint was that my meal came out five minutes before the appetizet and my husband’s meal but they apologized and it wasn’t a big deal. Overall a good experience and we’ll definitely be back!

First time visiting this establishment, and it was on Super Bowl Sunday. Great setup for sports; plenty of tv’s. Pizza was very good — homemade crust and fresh toppings. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to sell me on a return visit. For appetizers, our group ordered Poutine and Pulled Pork Nachos(special). Menu indicates cheese curds are in the Poutine. While the app was tasty, I’ve never had a perfectly cubed cheese curd in my life. If they were out of curds, I would like to have been told ahead they were subbing w/cubes of block cheese. The pulled pork nachos were tasty as well; however, there was literally 1 chunk of pork in the dish. As a few ate more of the app, we discovered another texture, that resembled sliced, smoked sausage. I confirmed this w/the server. I suppose I’d give them another chance at someone else’s suggestion, though.

We ordered 2 carry out pizza’s on Super bowl Sunday. When I returned home, they were both burned black. Rather than being an honest and reputable establishment and remaking me good acceptable quality pizzas, this restaurant knowingly chose to box these up burned and hope that I didn’t open and check them before I left. They got their wish. I didn’t look at them… just assumed that they would be cooked correctly. We were truly shocked by what we found. I’m just relieved that we weren’t having a party because I would have been horrified and embarrassed to have served these to guests. This is my first restaurant review because I am pretty easy to please, but I won’t put up with crappy quality and service like this! You would think a new business like this wouldn’t make poor choices like this. You pull that crap and the word is going to get out fast… like this. I will also go to other review sites to spread the word because of their dishonesty. Pretty shady. Maybe the word has already gotten out, considering the place was dead at 6pm on Super Bowl Sunday… a sports bar/restaurant. What does that tell you? Hmmm…

This place is a must! They have an awesome space(totally redone from Kilt) with an incredible amount of tv’s and welcoming décor. They have a really extensive sauce list– very impressive! And their beer list… One of the best I’ve seen in the city! Huge selection from your basics to new local craft brews :) My mom also found her new favorite wine here, the Boneshaker Zinfandel. Their bar is huge and in the summer it opens up to serve the patio too– super cool. I’ve had the pleasure of trying a lot of the dishes and I must say everything that I’ve had is fantastic. This place does wings right! They are HUGE and have so much flavor! The pizza has amazing crust, perfect amount of crispy and soft. The spinach dip is also really great with a good portion size too! I personally enjoyed the poutine very much and of corse had to finish off with the juicy key lime pie!!! Oh so good. I think the coolest part of this new spot is the locally sourced aspect. So much of the food is from right here in central Illinois! This area has become super inundated with chains you’ll see all over the country, so First and Home really is a breath of fresh air for this area! Do yourself the favor and stop in for a great bite!

The beef brisket was melt in your mouth… Ohhhh. So good. I had the pick 2. St Louis ribs with smokey, spicy rub & beef brisket served with fresh Cole slaw with thin stripes of yellow & green peppers. Charo beans with pulled pork & onions. Delish. Atmosphere was warm, service prompt. Well taken care of.

We have eaten here twice. The service is great! The second time the food was better. We had pulled pork sandwich and hamburger. Both were good and the fries are good too. Prices are high and higher than the other restaurants in the same area which will draw a different customer base than BW or Old Chicago. The first time, we ate there we had salads which are very expensive and not the same quality/quantity as the other restaurants in the area. This is a nice place to go without all the chaos and wait you get at the other places in the same area. My only complaint is the bathrooms should be cleaned more frequently, both times we were there they were dirty.

I’ve only checked in once out of the 3 times I’ve been at this new place. I am not convinced this place will survive. The Wings are very good and pizza is decent. The burgers are average at best for the price. Salads are average. Draft beers are plentiful but are pricey. I understand food cost and the rising cost of doing business. That said consumers will expect a better product. I was excited to see this empty space filled with a new an exciting menu. It falls short in my opinion given most of the items are already at their competition that surrounds them. Time will tell if this place can survive. I hope so. I always enjoy an independent establishment.

Let’s get this clear from the start, it’s not 5 stars for the food, I’d give the food about a 4. However, the service went above and beyond anything I’ve ever seen. We were a party of 6 including two small children. The little 5MO baby spit up on a burger — nothing that First and Home did. They brought out a fresh burger and fries. I was so impressed. Salads came out about a minute before the food. Ribs fell off the bone, fries are lightly crispy and very tasty, and the pizza is pretty darn good. We asked for cheese curds to be added and they were up to the challenge. The setting is very well done. Lots of tvs for sports action and a comfortable array of differing tables and chairs. Very cool to be in here. Try the Texas Hot BBQ sauce. So tasty! We will be back.

First time I went there it was the night before their grand opening. It was pretty slow, food was fast, sever was very willing to help(can’t remember name) as it was my first time. Unfortunately we all ordered the same thing so can’t say much about different items. The pulled pork sand which was pretty good although it came with a very large order of fries and for my liking not enough pulled pork. Lots of tv, great coverage and a good place to hang out with some friends!

My family and I tried First and Home for the first time last night during what they called a «soft opening.» The soft opening was something new to us but a great idea or a new place to work out the kinks. Between the five of us we tried the«home run» pizza, the pick 2BBQ with brisket and sausage, an order of 16 wings(tequila lime and Thai chili) a cheeseburger and fries and also an order of hummus as a starter. We were all satisfied with our orders. I must say everyone was amazed with the way the food tasted! It has been hard finding a place to eat in town that my family has been able order off the menu and find something they enjoy. Last night we were able to satisfy them all thanks to the variety of the menu at First and Home. The food was very affordable and the prices seemed to have dropped since the menu picture was posted. Overall the experience was great and we will be repeat customers! See you soon!

Best burger in town as well as the fries! Over 20 beers on draft, probably around 30 TVs in there. A lot of variety in wing flavors and cheaper than Buffalo Wild Wings, while also being much more saturated in sauce than I get at Buffalo a Wild Wings. I really wanted to try all of their appetizers since there’s a few things you aren’t necessarily used to seeing such as the hummus which was what I got since its one of my favorite things to eat… it was perfection! Can’t wait to come back for their grand opening!

Stopped here during their ‘soft opening’ tonight. Shared the ‘Choose 2BBQ’ with my wife, got pulled pork and beef brisket for $ 15.99. While we waited, we sampled the 4 sauces on the table. The Carolina is a vinegar based that was lacking flavor, as was the cherry sauce. The F&H house sauce literally tasted like puréed cole slaw, very odd taste. The fourth ‘Texas Hot Sauce’ was comparable to most mild BBQ sauces. The lack of a molasses based Kansas City sauce was a letdown. The platter arrived and there was literally enough of each meat to make a single sandwich. That said, the platter came with 2 flour tortilla shells(!?) which we didn’t use. The brisket was extremely fatty and had an overpowering taste of plastic. The pulled pork fared a little better tasting like beef jerky but was so strong that it overpowered any of the sauces on the table. We also each had a draft beer, both served in chilled glasses which seemed a little on the high end at $ 7.50 for 22 oz. Due to the lack of patrons, the wait staff, while very nice, seemed to hover over the few patrons present in the restaurant. Assuming that the food quality was simply growing pains, my wife and I likely won’t return here due simply to the prices and portion sizes. There are several better options a stones throw away we’d rather visit.

Excited to try this place on a snowy Saturday night. Looks exactly like former Tilted Kilt inside. My son and I ordered the barbecue combo with 3 meats. Pulled pork was excellent. They were out of ribs. Sausage was undercooked and a very small portion. Chicken was the entire wing. Also undercooked. Beef brisket was very fatty. I didn’t eat much of it. All meats had good flavor overall. There were 4 barbecue sauces. The Carolina and cherry(I think) were absolutely tasteless. The other two were just bland. Very disappointed in the sauces. My girlfriend had traditional wings with hot buffalo on them. Also very bland. Prices higher than the other local restaurants. As we drove home I asked everyone if they would go back. Unanimous no.

Gotta give them the benefit of doubt since they haven’t had their grand opening yet… Called and ordered a large cheese pizza for carry out. They called back in about five minutes and said they were out of pizza dough and I could try tomorrow. They were polite but still not a great first impression. We did give them a second chance and placed the same carry out order the next day. They had pizza dough, they were courteous and it was ready in about 20 – 25 minutes. Pizza was pretty good. I can see this place being very popular when the nearby baseball fields open and travelers are staying at the hotels next door.

Not much has physically changed inside the new home of First & Home, except the servers all wear clothes! HUGE beer selection with a large draft line-up and a ton of craft bottles available. The server takes your order on a ipad and then either the bartender or a food runner brings it out to you. This does make for some fast deliveries! The prices are definitely higher than comparable places nearby(BWW, TGIFridays, Applebees, etc) $ 9 for 22oz pours and $ 2 to add bacon to a cheeseburger both seem a little steep.(I had the same pour at Keps in Washington the next day for $ 5.75) Our food choices were very good and were large servings. They have a really large variety of wing styles available that I am looking forward to trying out — Korean, smoked, Balsamic, Moroccan? and a big selection of BBQ meats. They also have a couple of interesting sounding pizza options. Glad to see this spot back open out in the Grand Prairie area, definitely don’t need anymore chains out there!

Wing selection very good. We had 4 dry rub and 4 sweet chilli excellent flavor in both we selected sadly 2of them were not eatable since not cooked all the way. Manager comped the whole order thank you for that. The hamburgers very good but sadly for a build your own cheeseburger and only have American and colby jack as selection sad! Burger itself was good the option of bacon 1.99 and grilled onions or jalapeños is .99 notbad I went with no cheese they took .20 cent off for no cheese? The burger is good french fries excellent. Will be back hope they work the kitchen kinks out. Service was good but cou l d use training they had to ask kitchen what kind of cheese they had even though they only have 2 other wise kept drinks full and was very attentive dont like the check out since they use ipods dont get a physical bill tell done paying

Enjoyed a truly great burger here during their«soft open» period. Shockingly quick food delivery. Excellent fries. Both fries and burgers were better than Five Guys which had been my favorite. Looking forward to trying their other food.
