BESTSANDWICHINPEORIA! They’re bread is simply fresh and delicious. My family and i usually get the club sub! I was super bummed to hear they were closing. since we’ve only found out about them a few months ago!

Place is tiny but great service! Family that runs it is very sweet! Bread is fresh and I love their muffins! It’s hidden but great for those that work around hospitals.

Was at a meeting in downtown Peoria and did a quick search on my phone for a deli. Nick’s popped up and was close so since I had to get back in my car for the 3 hr trip back I decided to walk to Nick’s. A little out of the way in that it isn’t on a main street but worth it. I don’t think I’ve had sweeter, more attentive service at a deli before. Good price and a good sandwich.

Never been there and may not ever get there, but if I get within 100 miles, it will happen. They are working with my foundation to get some hand made wooden toys to the kids in the storm area. Good businesses have good people and step up when the community needs them. If you like deli food stop in. Even if you don’t, stop in and tell them thanks!

Best sub I have ever had!!! Everything I have had here is great, but once I tried the Super Sub with onion, I never had anything different! You can tell everything is very fresh here. The bread is to die for. Kind of a sweet Italian bread. They have different subs, chicken salad, lettuce salads, some kind of meatball sub I heard was very good, soups, chips, drinks, and baklava. It is family owned and the service is quick and very friendly. When I went to college in Peoria I would eat here at least 1 – 2 times a week and the owner always remembered exactly what I wanted. Such a sweet, friendly family. Atmosphere lacks but the food makes up for it. It is in the bottom of an office building. There are only about 5 – 7 tables but I always got my food to go. When standing in line to order your food it can get a little cramped, but it’s amazing how fast they move! Once you try a sub from here you won’t regret it. Nothing else compares!

Found Nick’s on an Apple Maps search of «food». Great homemade bread makes for a great sandwich. Really nice staff as well. Under $ 5 for an 8″ sub.

I have been going to Nick’s Deli for roughly 7 years and have always had a great experience. Here is my take on this excellent little sammich shop. 1) The Staff Each and every time I have visited Nick’s I have been warmly greeted with«Hi Buddy!» from the owner and with a cheerful«Hello» from everyone else. This is a family business and it shows. The care they show for every customer feels truly genuine. 2) The Atmosphere Nick’s is a very friendly place to have lunch. I have shared tables with complete strangers before because the place was fully packed. There are usually several lively conversations going on in addition to Nick and his family interacting with the customers. Sometimes there is a line clear out the door, but it moves quickly. The longest I have ever waited to order — and this was on a day when I was ~15th in line — was about 5 minutes. 3) The Food Every sandwich I have eaten from Nick’s has been perfect. Yes, perfect. Yes, every single one. Seven years of sandwich perfection. I know it is tough to believe, but I’m completely serious. I have never gotten an incorrect order. I have never gotten a sandwich where the ingredients are falling out in a sloppy mess. Nick and his family CARE about the quality of food served and the happiness of the customer. Caring people serving great food in a friendly atmosphere. Nick’s deli is definitely one of the best lunch shops in the greater Peoria area.

Peoria is not known for its food, so Nick’s was a refreshing find. The fresh hand-made sandwiches are a refreshing change from most chain sandwich shops, even if they are nothing fancy. The fresh chips are made in the store and are addictive — and I don’t even normally like chips. Even during a lunch rush service is reasonably quick and very polite. I felt the lunch specials were an a good value. Some might say this restaurant isn’t creative, but it might be more appropriate to say it’s not pretentious.
