Starbucks

Quick review~
Went here yesterday for the first time since I just moved to Peoria heights. The barista was very friendly and outgoing and my mocha frappé came out delicious.(I would say as always but that would be a lie, I’ve had some frappes that were very off). I can’t say much for anything else here; haven’t tried it yet. Yay for drive thru Starbucks! The ones near me in Orlando did NOT have a drive thru but seems like the ones in Peoria all have em.

Decent coffee, good cake pops and convenient. My favorite drink is a redeye. Normally it is pretty good but today it tastes watery and bitter. Still giving them 3 stars because normally they are good.

I’ve been going to this Starbucks for a little over a year and they are quite possibly the nicest and happiest bunch of baristas I’ve ever met. They are helpful, courteous and will fix anything if there is even the slightest issue. I will miss them when I relocate. I can honestly say I’d never say that about a coffee shop.

I visited this location around 7am on Saturday (12/​20/​2014) with my grandfather to get a nice hot beverage on a cold winter morning. The interior is nice and clean just like every other Starbucks but that’s where the similarities ended on this visit.
We waited almost 5 minutes to be acknowledged by any of the 5 baristas beyond a fleeting glance. Two manned the drivethru and were engaged in a noticeable personal conversation that was distracting considering neither would acknowledge our presence or at least say someone would be with us shortly. Someone finally asked us if we were ready to order. My grandfather ordered and then I tried ordering a hot tea. She told me they didn’t have any tea. Somewhat confused, I asked her to explain. I was told curtly and unapologetically that they were transitioning from Tazo to Teavana teas and they sold out of the Tazo but had not received the new Teavana tea. She didn’t ask if I wanted anything else or try to suggest other options (I would have been open to a chai latte). I opted not to order anything.
This was a 2-​star rating until my grandfather tasted his carmel macchiato. He said it was very disappointing. It was bland — slightly sweetened steamed milk — nothing like what it should have been.
This location is a major disappointment to the Starbucks brand. Maybe we caught them at an off-​time or they weren’t awake yet, but they weren’t busy (only one other customer was sitting in the location and no one was at the drive thru).

Always friendly, efficient, fast, and I get what I want the first time through. Not sure what the bad reviewers are talking about, must be just them. I’ve never had an issue here and am always happy when I leave. Keep up the awesome job Prospect Starbucks!

As far as Peoria starbucks goes, this place has got to be the worse. Completely inconsistent with drink orders, some baristas are just plain rude, and if you’re traveling east on 150, forget about this place in the morning — it’ll take you forever to get back on. As a loyal gold member for the past five years, I’ve only had to contact corporate a handful of times about problems. At least four times was on this store including drinks made wrong and refusal to correct, and lack of answering their phone when you’ve already left the drive thru and wanted to speak to a manager. Skip this place and go to the one on University & Glenn instead.

I am a tried and true Starbucks fan. I’ve been to each Starbucks in the Peoria area, including the two Target locations. Out of them all, this is my absolute favorite. I get a very specific drink and they make it to perfection each and every time. The staff there is far more friendly than any other location. Even if you have to drive a little out of the way, this is the better Starbucks location by far!

I love Starbucks and this place is good. The employees are not as friendly as the ones near where I live but I still say go if you want good coffee

I find that I love so many drinks on the menu I have trouble deciding; Staff are great at offering suggestions and samples.
Ex. After Christmas there was a buy 1 get 1 Free of the Christmas blend. I was uncertain that I would like the coffee, or at least 2 lbs worth. He made me my own small fresh brewed cup right there on the spot for me to try. And yes, it was good & I did buy them.
Best feature of Starbucks; try something new and don’t like it, they make u another drink, Free.

Oh, Prospect Road Starbucks. You are filled with the absolute nicest employees and I come visit you at least twice a day when I’m in town visiting family. This fast-​paced, cranky New Yorker appreciates how sweet all of you are, how you put those fancy stickers on the drinks that tell me exactly what I ordered, and how you never mind that I sit for hours and use your wifi and outlets. You’re the best and I want to take you back to NYC with me to show them how it’s done. Keep up the great work.
