After bringing my 3 children there for 3 years I have yet to meet Dr. Blaschke. Leaving for 2 reasons, very expensive as compared to other practices and most important my children are sore for days after from cleanings with irritated gums(none have ever had any cavities). Front office help nice but feel it is time to move on and give kids a better experience.

We loved this office! I brought both my kids(5 and 3) for their first appointments and the techs and Dr. Blaschke were really great and gentle. My son wanted no part of the cleaning brush(he was intimidated by the noise), but they didn’t force it on him. We went to Dr. Blaschke on recommendation from a friend of mine whose child also had some sensory issues(like my son) and I am so happy we did. My kids loved the fish theme and the fishtank with all the fish that looked like the ones in Finding Nemo. They also really enjoyed picking a prize at the end and my daughter was thrilled with chocolate flavored toothpaste. A shame that I cannot buy it for home. :)

We went there and was told our 6 years old daughters had 4 cavities and needed to be taken care of. The first appointment after that to fill the first cavity, insurance came back with me owing them $ 200+. Upon checking, they used a filling material that is much more expensive than generally covered by the insurance. Dr. Blaschke did that. Later, the other female dentist Dr Evangelisti looked at my daughter the second time and the filling was causing bleeding and she said it wasn’t done right. It needed to be re-worked. So now I have to put my daughter under the numbing drugs again to re-work a wrongly filled tooth. They never gave me the refund or even credit me the differences of charging me with the expensive material that is deemed too soft for the filling. I think this is really bad. Isn’t this the bread and butter kind of operation they do to kids and how can that be so wrong? I have to drag my kid again to drill the old filling out and refill it again? and I am still paying that $ 200+ I owed them because insurance is not going to pick up the tab.

Horrible! Run far, far away. They made my son cry, they made me cry. It is supposed to be a pediatric dental practice, but nobody in this place knew how to deal with a frightened young child. They don’t use nitrous, only chloral hydrate(which made my son very«drugged», but did nothing to help calm him), and they expected my husband or me to physically restrain him on numerous occasions. The last time we were there I was told that they could not work on my son, and that we would have to take him to a hospital in Boston to have him put under general anesthesia just so he could have a cavity filled(but they were sure to take my credit card –while my son was still crying, and I was too!- so I could pay for the useless dose of chloral hydrate.) I took him to another dentist instead. Dr. Andrew took all the time he needed to talk to my son and calm his fears. My son now happily goes to his new dentist … and I am still dealing with Dr. Blaschke’s office trying to bill me for our last appointment!
