We got the menu for Joey’s Bistro left at our door a few weeks ago and decided the following sunday night for take out. We ordered Ma Po Tofu from the vegetarian portion of the menu and shrimp with mixed vegetables from the seafood section, and Hunan Chicken from the dinner specials. When we got home with our food we discovered that the Ma-Po tofu did have tofu but it also contained far more pork than tofu. As the person ordering the vegetarian dish is… a vegetarian, pork is unacceptable. So we sealed it up and went right back. The woman at the front said this was not a mistake and the tofu vegetarian dish does come with pork. She was nice enough to reprepare the dish but without pork. When we got home again, we opened up the rest of the food, to discover that the Shrimp with mixed vegetables does not come with any shrimp but does cost significantly more than ordering just mixed vegetables. The point of getting take out was for convenience and its been over 90 min. since we went to get the food so I didn’t bother going there a third time and ate the shrimp*-less shrimp with vegetables. All three dishes were identical… same sauce same vegetables all used in the same proportion only difference was the meat or lack there of. SO the second star is only because the food wasn’t disgusting and the person working there didn’t make any fuss or give a hard time about making the dish over again.
