Five Guys Burgers and Fries

The food is OK but the music is up so loud that you can’t hear anything anyone at your table is saying.

You’d think at $ 13 for a burger, fries and a coke that the food should be really good. Not so at Five Guys. I ordered my hamburger medium rare and the order taker didn’t object. I learned later that the burgers are all cooked well done. In my case, that meant completely dry, no juice whatsoever. The fries are decent, definitely better than In-​N-​Out, but the cost is much higher.
For me, Five Guys was a «once in a lifetime experience». I will not be back.

Great concept, good fast food, nice people… BUT…
POOR EXECUTION.
Paper strewn all of floor, kitchen area trashed, fry bin not wiped down, bathroom topsy-​turvy.
One of the reasons I like In-n-Out…CLEAN, WELL RUN.
I’ll be back, but hopefully some manager catches on to keep it clean.

Fast food places with HOT DOGS are rare, so I looooooooooooove five guys. The best way to describe their food is this:

That is exactly how it tastes. It doesn’t taste like fast food at all. Their burgers aren’t my fave but they’re still really damn good burgers… but I go for the glorius bacon covered hot dog.
Also don’t get the fries without the Cajun seasoning. They’re amazing with it and literally falt out gross without it? SOMEHOW. they’re ADDICTIVE with the seasoning and they always give you an assload of fries too. It’s great. I brought the leftovers home, freezed them, and baked them up for dinner on another day! haha (I don’t waste food.)

Place is a complete rip off by the time you order fries, soda and burger, its over 20 bucks, will never go there again. If you want a good priced burger try habit burger.

They’ve got delicious, addictive nuts! 5 Guys Burgers&Fries started in Arlington, Virginia/​Washington DC… and we all know Virginia is for Lovers! I think they’re as good as Florida-​based BurgerFi, California’s the Habit… and definitely superior to California’s In-​N-​Out. And who wouldn’t enjoy an in-​n-​out with 5 guys?
I went for their cheeseburger «all the way» (most of their toppings are complimentary, or perhaps complementary?)… and even the mushrooms they use as a topping are excellent, since they’re fresh. They have wonderfully delicious Cajun fries. I don’t usually get gushy over French fries. but these are the best of any chain. Nice, firm, definitely not flaccid. They’re already flavorful… and the freshly pumped ketchup doesn’t hurt.
They have a nice, clean outdoor dining area in an otherwise bland strip mall. They were doing more of a business than the nearby Chipotle. They have perky, friendly service and a clean, open kitchen. And who wouldn’t come out of 5 Guys full&deeply satisfied?

Although my daughter loves this restaurant, I find that the fries are soggy and if you take your order home to eat, my bun is soaking wet by the time I get home (5 minutes away). Flavor is good, but just can’t get over the soggy bun. I think eating it in house is a better way to go.

So I came in today to check out 5 Guys and so far I am very disappointed. Not only did it take over 15 minutes to get my food, this place is filthy and is very dirty. There is trash everywhere. I would not recommend anyone to come eat at this place. Just by seeing the dinning room, I wonder how clean the kitchen is. There is 4 employees standing on the line, but no one is checking the freaking dinning room. Customer service is a zero, I did not feel welcomed in this place. I will not be coming back here.

Like most others, the service was very slow for me on a relatively slow day. My order of a burger and fries took almost 30 minutes… Thankfully I gave this two stars because the food is great, just this particular location lacks in service. Will I never come back, no, one of the better fast food burgers you can get in the area, just wish they would pick up the speed!

The best of the burger chain burgers in my opinion!

Soggy Bun, burger falls apart. The burger tastes just Ok. Not worth the disgusting mess. The Habit restaurant is better.

I walked in and was expecting In and Out all over again. What I got was BETTER! The service was the level of In and Out but the food was on a much higher level! They have so many gret toppings to switch around to build a great burger with! My burger was exactly how I ordered it and was very happy with the results. I also found the fries the way better then ANY OTHER of the fast food place. I am generally not a fan of fries because they are not done right but these guys nailed it! Oh and for the short time you wait there are the roasted peanuts they have by the boxes for you to enjoy! How awesome is that? I do wish they had combos. And I wish they had shakes. But I really like the food! Yum!

I like five guys way more than In n Out because the Burgers and fries were made fresh as you order. Regular size fries serve two people. They taste so good! Let’s not forget free peanuts. I just wish they would have combos instead of buying every item separately.

PS: I thank you for your «response» to my tepid review, but instead of answering my criticisms you invite me to fill out a form. (Same response to all of the other complainers. WTF). Do you think the Unilocalers are going to do this? You treat Unilocalers like robots. I can tell you directly and candidly what is wrong with your Petaluma store but I am not going to fill out a stupid form.

This place is so terrible. I have only been to this location so I can’t rate them as a whole yet, but I have yet to have a good experience here. I have now gone 3 times and most likely will not be returning.
The staff is extremely lazy and unfriendly. Each time I have ordered something different (my wife as well) and it was either wrong or just completely terrible.
The first time we went I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger well done and she just got a Medium order of fries for us to share. Firsty our food took extremely long to be prepared. I understand that ordering Well Done will prolong the process but this was just ridiculous.
When we got our food, my Burger was Medium Rare, the only part that looked cooked was the exterior. Far from Well Done. The fries were completely drenched in grease, and completely uncooked. I felt like I was biting into a raw potato. Im normally not a person to complain at a restaurant so we just dealt with it and wrote it off to them being busy. (3 other customers)
Now for the second time we went in. I order a Mini Bacon Cheeseburger (Well Done), Small Fries and my wife order their Vegetable Sandwhich (she is a Vegetarian so not much she could order even though it is most likely Cross Contaiminated anyways). This time our food came pretty damn quick.
When we received our food, I could have sworn I order a Mini Bacon Cheeseburger, but they made me a Regular Cheeseburger with no Bacon, and guess what, it wasnt Well Done again either. My wifes sandwhich was a soggy disgusting mess. There was so much Cheese and Grease in the foil that the Bun was Gooey. When she went to take a bite all of the Cheese and Vegetable glooped out the side of the Soggy Gooey Bun.
This time we decided we didnt want to pay for something completely unedible and incorrect. When we approached the guy behind the counter, he was in the middle of a conversation with his coworker. He looked over at us and then continued. Once he realised we were starring right at him like we needed some help, he sighed and walked over «do you need something?» I almost lost my s*** (Im a General Manager in Food Service) so I had the wife talk to him before I freaked out. He did not give half a damn. He told us «Thats how the Veggie Sandwhich is, but we will make you a new one». we got a refund and left.
The third time was just me. I ordered a Medium Fries and a Soda. I just wanted some Fries and was at Target so figured what the hell. Bad Idea. Fries once again we Soaked in Grease and uncooked. I threw them away and walked out with my soda.
Never Again.
I don’t know where all these people who wrote those reviews and articles they have all over the walls went but it sure as hell WAS NOT this Petaluma location.

I have been here a number of times. Every time I asked for my fries crispy /​well done. It happened 1 time. The second to last time I was here I filled out the online servery and got a phone call shortly about the soggy fries and was to get a free fries later. Sooo today I went and ordered a small bacon cheese burger and fries well done. Burger was good, not great, and a bit soggy and the fries were soggy too. Think I’m done here.

I have been wanting to try five guys ever since I heard of it. Went in, ordered a cheeseburger and Cajun fries, and the fries were undercooked. I can get shitty fries just about everywhere in Petaluma! Pass…
Oh, and the burger? Yeah, okay, the meat didn’t suck. But all the vegetables are cut shittily and too big, making for a burger that falls apart and is difficult to eat.

I’m posting my review here as well as the other Unilocal page because I’m not sure which one is the real deal:
This location was filthy when we arrived, all of the tables that were empty had not been cleaned, we waited at least fifteen minutes for our order, and it was wrong, the burger buns were soggy. The only thing that was good, were the Cajun Fries — they were hot, and they were flavorful.
I’m very disappointed in Five Guys; as I’ve only heard great things about them.
I ordered the little bacon cheeseburger with everything; I’m really not sure there was a burger patty on it at all, and if there was, I ate it in the first bite.
My sister ordered a little cheeseburger with everything on the side; they put EVERY THING on the side; including the burger patty, which they placed upside down on top of the mushrooms, onions, lettuce and tomatoes — which sort of ruined the whole «on the side» thing.
Sloppy service, not staffed with friendly people.
We sat outside to eat because over half the tables were not cleaned off from the previous customers.
We waited over a half hour for our food, then my sister had to take hers back because, well, everything was NOT on the side.

So yummy, always friendly staff and really the best burger anywhere. Get extra pickles they are the best ever, this is the bomb!
Order the small fries is plenty t share with another person. Oh, the hotdogs are really good too! Yummmmmmmmmm
