It’s Panda Express… mediocre Chinese food at low prices. So with that in mind, pretty good in my book. Best Panda Express location I’ve been to. Their orange chicken is better than 3 small local restaurants within 5 miles, and less than half the price. Fried rice is good when soy sauce is added. Much better than the Santa Rosa location.

I think I consumed a cup of oil. Stopped as I was in a hurry and hungry. The food was terrible. Never again. My mistake.

I’ve been coming to this location for years. Their teriyaki chicken is their best option. I like that you can make smart choices here. The mixed veggies leave much to be desired. It’s not much of a mix when it’s mostly cabbage and very little other veggies. Since the remodel of the resturant, the service has severely gone downhill. The turnover of employees is a sure sign that there is something wrong going on. I started ordering online a few months ago, because there was always a long line, and the wait was usually 20 – 30 minutes. On top of that they would be out of items and you would have to wait even longer to get what you want. Usually at least another 15 minutes. If I could give zero stars, I would. I went in tonight to pick up my order, and they left out an entrée from each plate. On top of that there were yet again all new people working there. The manager was talking to the cook staff like they were children. You could tell by the look on the cooks faces they were beat down by this poor treatment from the manager. Hopefully the franchisee/corporate sees the poor reviews that have been left lately, and do something to improve this location. I don’t plan on coming back for a while. It’s not hard to treat fellow employees with respect, and get orders right. Being in customer service, it is their job.

They lack manners and common sense. If you’re going to give me a false explanation as to why you charges me more for something I didn’t order, at least make it believable. Have been going to this spot for a few years… and the turn over rate of employees is pretty quick. And the new snotty servers… man! Ridiculous attitudes. Especially Leah. Really hope they read this.

I visited Panda Express on February 18, the location on South McDowell in Petaluma. I wanted to use a coupon for a free item and was told that I had to purchase a 2 entrée meal in order to use the coupon. I was confused, so I looked and re-read the coupon and nowhere on it did it state that there was any purchase to be made. It just stated that I would receive a complimentary item with the coupon. The person helping me was very rude and said that it didn’t matter what the coupon stated — SHE was telling me that SHE would not except the coupon without the purchase of a two entrée meal. Since they were so busy and I didn’t want to hold up the line I asked if I could just have the manager’s name please. She responded ’ I am the manager’ turned away from me and went onto the next customer in line. I still do not know who she was(a short plus size woman with a need for makeup tips) but even the other employees behind the counter had looks of apology and embarrassment. Needless to say, I would not recommend this establishment to anyone! ZEROSTARS!

Been there again and more staff but more chatter and training of new help, during busy times not a good choice. Customers are treated as Second and third class citizens, and you are treated as though they are doing you a favor by being there. The place is NOT getting better, but seems to be staying the same!

So, there’s no shortage of good Asian food here in the Bay area. Why eat at Panda Express? Because my stricken Mother in Law loves the place… so when we are with her we comply. Some of the dishes are very good — the orange chicken is legendary. Soups are a bit too salty and the fried appetizers spend too much time on the steam table after being in the fryer, but otherwise not too offensive. The trick with this place is to avoid the carbs as much as possible and choose the proteins and veggies as side dishes rather than the combo plates that fill you with empty calories. Take that approach, and choose whatever looks freshest!

This is by far the worst place to eat!!! Please read my whole review!! Simple bland and disgusting. You can tell the food sits there forever. This wasn’t my main concern. This was the first time I went there and will never ever go back. My kids love chow main and rice. I put some on the plate for my 6 and 4 year old. My daughter who is six told me there was something funny in her mouth. I told her to spit it out and put it in my hand. When I looked at what it was. I was pissed it was plastic! Completely disgusting and dangerous! I called them and they guys who answered said oh sorry about that. I told him you don’t sound shocked because this is very serious someone could die. He said no I agree but this happens frequently. I told him he should throw the rest away. He said since I was there 20 minutes ago it would’ve all been served and gone. He also said I probably won’t be the only call tonight. What really bothered me was this was normal to him. He told me he wrote down my complaint which was Wednesday and the manager would call me Friday. I’m sure everyone knows there was no phone call. If I could give them negative stars I would. This wasn’t about a refund it was a warning to get their shit together! Reading previous complaints they say the manager seems drunk or on drugs. It wouldn’t surprise me since she didn’t find my complaint serious enough to call me back. I will get a hold of this manager and the owner. This is not done I’m just getting started! Health board is next. Boycott this restaurant!!! Someone could die! I will update the review after I get ahold of manager and owner. Still a week later and no call! I told the manager on duty that people on Unilocal are saying she’s drunk or high. She’s aware of this and still hasn’t gotten her shit together! When I’m done with her she’ll be drug tested weekly! She’s even lucky to still have a job! Trust me she’ll be collecting unemployment when I’m done with her!

First of all, NOVEGETARIANENTREES. There’s a sign on the buffet where you begin your order stating this. They’ve never had many options for vegetarians but now they’ve even done away with their eggplant tofu. Basically, you get chow mein, steamed vegetables with zero seasoning(think 1970’s vegetarian) and vegetable spring rolls. It’s hard to believe that in a place like Sonoma County they have no entrees to offer us. I won’t be going back here again.

The manager apparently has never heard of costumer service she is always in a bad mood, never smiles or greets you. Also the cooks are rude and sometimes make tasteless food and they get offended if you complaint.

First of all, you’ll not go here for the décor! This is an EXPRESS restaurant and you go for the food. Very good quick, Chinese food. Sometimes though they run out and must cook more, which means you must wait up to 15 minutes. Not quick! The Teriyaki Chicken is their best dish, along with either noodles or rice. Tou do have options, especially if you want more veggies. But they are crisp, not cooked near enough for me. The Orange Chicken Is SPICY/HOT. Not for kids or most adults. Beware, it will burn your tongue. A lot of menu items are Spicy. Get plenty to drink. Good for a quick meal. Seating area is limited. You’re suppose to get your food and leave. They do however have outdoor seating.

This review is about Store #0648 on McDowell Blvd. in Petaluma CA. This is the absolute WORST place to eat that I have been to in Sonoma County. The owner and Manager of this place must be a Drunk, a Drug Addict, or just plain Stupid! There is no way they can ever say this place is operating to satisfactory conditions, Just look at all the crappy reviews here. I have been there 4 times since I moved to Petaluma 16 months ago. The first time I went there at about 6:45 pm. took about 15 minutes to get my food since nothing was ready, only the fried rice was ready. The second time I went there with my Girlfriend at about 7:30pm we walked out because they were missing approx. 40% of the food and the food that was there looked like it was hours old, gross! We drove to Rohnert Park just to have Panda Express, they have it together there. The 3rd time we went there about 1:30pm I thought those other 2 times must have been really bad luck. But, we were ready to walk out again(and should have) because the few items that were ready didn’t look fresh. I said lets order stuff they are out of so they will have to cook it and we’ll get it fresh. Again, that took about another 15 to 20 minutes to finally get served. And today, 10-20-2015, was the worst I ever seen. I was getting two plates to go. If you order something that isn’t ready they set your to-go-box aside and help the next customer until your order is ready. After sitting there for 10 minutes I counted the to-go-boxes sitting on the counter and there was FOURTEEN of them! They only had two cooks. And they work very slow. The lobby was full of people waiting. One of the cooks then cleaned his wok an disappeared! He just left… The other cooked dropped something, twice, and was sweeping it up. Lots of people waiting and nothing, and I mean NOTHING was being cooked. Finally Orange Chicken got cooked. I told the girl Sandra C. «forget the Kung Pao Chicken, can I please have some of that Orange Chicken instead». This time I waited almost 20 minutes and didn’t even get what I ordered. This place sucks. The Manager sucks. The Owner of this place sucks. It’s not like I am asking for something for free here. I not trying to get some sort of hand out or freebie. I’m PAYING! Go to Santa Rosa or Rohnert Park. You’ll see them cooking and flipping food like crazy, flames flaring up and everything. It’s actually entertaining to watch. Those places will have a line of 15 to 20 people and serve them all pretty darn fast. That is how a business is operated by someone that really cares about the customers.

I have eaten here before in the past and had ok service. This was the last time I eat here. They ran out of 3 entrees. The chow mein looked like ramen noodles. Watched 2 customers actually leave on the account of them running out of food. Very disappointed

Good food, a lot of variety and decent prices. The employees need to be a little more friendly and enthusiastic about their job. It’s almost like robots working there, or as a lot of people are these days — just getting a paycheck. Only person that was peppy and friendly was the cashier, Helen! She’s always very enthusiastic and talks to customers with a smile!

My husband and I were looking for something out of the bun. We decided to come here, the place is clean, restrooms are clean, their food on the other hand. the fried rice looked like day old rice, there were not that many items to choose from, the skimpy so called chow mein looked like top ramen. I mean come on now, really? The guy that was helping us really skimped on the portions and the asian lady there was hella fucken rude, so my husband and I decided we’ll have them make these plates and ring up the prices and at the last minute we’ll decide we don’t want it. That’s exactly what we did and left. They can keep that nasty dry ass day old food, we’re good panda express.

So far I’ve eaten take-out from here 3 times. Food is to be expected for Chinese fast food… Not bad, not good. My review is not for the food, though: Two nights ago we walked in and ordered. My husband wanted a side of the the teriyaki chicken. The girl at the counter cut it into strips, picked up the small container, DROPPED the container, then put his chicken into the DIRTY container right in front of us without a second thought! I’m pretty sure that’s a health code violation… Stupidly, neither one of us spoke up about it because we were both trying to process what had just happened.

I know better for expecting too much from Panda Express. I think first impressions are important. Upon entering, I noticed the glass had a bunch of fingerprints all over it, floors were filthy, and the kitchen was dirty too. My 4 year old son wanted white rice, I wanted steamed veggies and some brown rice. I figured I’d be safe by ordering that to dodge being hit by fast food chinese gastroenteritis lol. I always feel awkward when I’m talking to someone behind the counter in a public setting, I don’t want to seem like I’m yelling at the employee and sounding rude. So many people do that, or give orders. I don’t want to be that person. Today, however, I was the one being yelled at. I told the employee I wanted steam veggies and brown rice, she continued to question me as to what chow mein I wanted. Um, I don’t want chow mein. Finally her counterpart looked at her and said, «She wants brown rice.» I’m not entirely sure what happened there, but I made sure to eat and scram. I can’t say that I would actually come back here ever again.
