Taqueria Los Potrillos Trios is the best Taqueria around. The Al Pastor tacos are delicious;just the right amount of sweet and spicy with lots of flavor. The lengua tacos are also very delicious very tender meat. I highly recommend this Taqueria. Very friendly very quick service. A must-try!

Popped in here for dinner with my husband. Cheap, fast and tasty. Will definitely be back.

The original Mexican restaurant in Petaluma. Always friendly. Clean. The salsa is fresh, the chips are warm, this is one of the rare establishments that keeps their grills clean on the daily, which is why they’ve been around so long.

The Micheladas are still great. The tacos are good. The fish tacos are my favorite, but the ceviche is a huge disappointment — the fish is fishy and almost tastes like canned tuna(it’s not but that’s the flavor.) The salsas are great, and like other’s said the green salsa alone is worth coming for. Bring back the good ceviche, and this place could easily be 5 star again…

I’m not sure how this place has 4 stars. I’ve even talked to the locals who say to stay away from this place! There’s not that many breakfast options for this place. I ordered super nachos and it looked like a sad plate of poop. First, there wasn’t that, just avocado slices(who does that?). Nachos tasted stale and the crema curdled. My boyfriends torta was very soggy with a thin bottom bun and the bean and cheese burrito my sister in law tasted way too salty.

Delicious! Coming all the way from Florida and always looking forward to eating here. Carne asada burrito(meat and pico only) is on point! Must try with the green salsa/sauce.

It wouldn’t be bad if you could overlook the dirty dinning room, rude and slow customer service, and the fact that they can’t get your order correct. At first I thought it was a language barrier so returned and ordered in Español but it turned out they are simply unable to take an order correctly. But all that aside the food is actually fairly mediocre, sure you can go to any other mexican restaurant in the area and get better food, better service, for less money and not feel dirty as soon as you walk in but why would you want to.

Driving through Petaluma, we were tired of fast food on the road and decided to look for a taqueria to get some real food for dinner. We found Los Potrillos and couldn’t have been happier. I grew up in So. Cal, so I know good, home-made Mexican food. I had enchiladas verde con pollo and my husband had enchiladas al pastor. They were both good, and the beans and rice were just like home. The salsas were spicy and tasty, though I prefer chips a little thicker. Altogether a great choice for us. I’ll remember this place for our next trip through the area.

I was here years ago and the food was good. Tonight however there are not enough words to say YUCK!!! You know you may be in trouble when even the homemade tortilla chips taste like they were fried in OLDOIL! So to continue, the carnitas tasted like I needed to scape my tongue. I’m not sure if my meal, what I are if it will stay down!!! The good side, I was able to watch a few cage match bouts! Is the 4 star review all friends and family?

Yikes! I was shocked to see this place had 4 stars. This was by far the worst Mexican food in the area. It’s also the cheapest, so I guess you get what you pay for! However, Taco Bell did have this place beat out for Petaluma Mexican cuisine. The Chile relleno was watery and soggy. It was like eating tissue paper soaked in water. The vegetarian burrito was all lettuce, some sour cream, and a few beans. I will give them credit here… the tamales were excellent. The salsa was so hot that it was almost unedible. No flavor, all heat. The chips were good. Won’t be eating here again. We will go to Taco Bell instead.

This place has delicious burritos! We accidentally came across this little place in Petaluma on a quest for Mexican food… what luck! I had the Super Burrito filled with carnitas and my mother ordered the same with chicken. We were both raving about our choices! The prices seem very reasonable too! Salud!

I love this place so much! It is one of the few Mexican restaurants that creates a burrito with a harmonious and balanced quantity of all items. Just the right amount of everything and evenly distributed throughout. Not the biggest burrito around, but its not stuffed full of rice and beans like many other spots(I’m looking at you, Velasco’s). The first time I came here I ordered the Carnitas super burrito and its so yummy that I haven’t ordered anything else, so the extent of my recommendation lies in the Carnitas burrito. One of these days I’ll try other items on the menu. Great salsas and chips too! Their salsa verde IMO is the best in town, I could eat it by the spoonful its so good. A word to the wise, if you’re not into spicy, skip the salsa, they’re not mild and I don’t think they even make a mild salsa!

I went to Taqueria Los Potrillos when El Roy’s Taco Truck(usually parked across the street) went MIA. Good service, friendly, and accommodating for vegans or people with food allergies/dietary preferences. The vegetarian super burrito, with extra pico de gallo in place of the cheese and sour cream was excellent. I hate it when I order a veggie burrito and the main component is rice – so I was pleasantly surprised to find the perfect ratio in my order at this establishment.

The chili Verde is the best in Northern California! ! My husband loves the Sunday Menudo and says it is awesome and the best in the area! Try the El Pastor Quesadillas, you will fall in love! ! The owner, Hector, his wife Mercedes and Uncle will treat you like family!

This place is the absolute best if you’re looking for quick takeout Mexican. I’ve been going here for years, and the super burrito and tacos are awesome. The folks who work here couldn’t be nicer, and the pollo asado is to die for. Make sure you try it if you ever give this place a shot!

I wish I could give ten stars. Best authentic tacos and tamales in town. Service is always fast and everyone is kind. Seriously, I can’t stay away from this place.

Steak Ranchero was a large portion but there wasn’t much flavor. The regular burrito was a good size but lacked flavor and was dry. Wasn’t a fan of this place.

Terrible! Food is very bland. Not worth the trip. Beans taste 3 days old. Chile Relleno was swimming in liquid. Nachos were bland with only cheese, beans & sour cream. It was pretty bad. I’d rather go to Taco Bell. I don’t understand why this place has good reviews. Chips were good. Salsa was good. And that was it!

This place was recommend by a friend. Food was NOT worth the trip. It was the WORST!!! Not sure what the hype was about. Food taste previously frozen. Chili Rellno was a swimming in liquid, not sauce. Chips were stale. Salsa was good. Pastor was flavorless. Super Nachos were bland with only chips cheese, beans, over abundance of bland meat and sour cream. No guacamole or pico de gallo. I did not leave a tip because I know I will never be back.

Effing YUM! The salsa is very spicy(both red and green). The red is the best I’ve ever had, and believe me, I get in bed with a lot of salsa. You have to like it HOT, though. The chicken super burrito is the best(no lettuce!) But on a budget, go for the BRC(refried beans, rice, and cheese). Definitely try this place.
