So many amazing things to say about this place! The interior décor is eclectic with beautiful wood accents. I had their veggie hash made with fresh ingredients grown in the back garden! Included crispy mashed potatoes, garlic, caramelized onions and kale. Topped with 2 eggs and came with sourdough toast and freshly made jam! Truly local and fresh place. Everything was incredibly flavorful. My fiancé had the Queziolla, which was a quesadilla filled with eggs, potato, house made salsa and sour cream. It was also amazingly fresh and flavorful! If you eat meat, the house made bacon is a must! My fiancé’s words when he tasted it were«what have I’ve been eating?! This is the best bacon I’ve ever had»… Coming from a true bacon lover. They do serve beer and wine. The daily mimosa mixer is a must! We had one with champagne, muddled mint, fresh blueberries and a hint of house made vanilla simple syrup. They were amazing! And they do creep up on you for a great buzz ;). If you’re in Petaluma, don’t miss this place! The best breakfast/brunch in town by far!

So it’s Saturday morning at about 11:15 and Its no too busy, the hostess sat me quickly and brought me my green tea in a cool teapot(cast iron). They have something in an eye dropper bottle called yobasco! Probably super hot! My server is Jenny and she compt my tea for such a long wait, nice because it wasn’t too long. Second cup of tea, nice flavor real green tea leaves. It looks like they have maybe three servers. They are running around like crazy… Started with homemade yogurt, oh man words can’t describe it you have to get it! Fruit is from The Palace of Fruit! Great strawberries. Now they are playing music by Beck very hip? I came back to see if it’s still tastes good and it was! But I wish they would lower their prices so I could eat here more often! So for some reason I lost all my previous pics. What am I doing wrong? Not very tech savvy? I’m ol school!

Arugula omelet $ 11.00, House yogurt is $ 5.00 and 2 slices of thick cut bacon is $ 3.00 every thing tasted great… The only problem I see is the parking situation. They share it with the auto repair shop. You know what else is cool? They left the original Three Cooks sign up. This was in the American Graffiti movie. Side note my Dad’s friend John Shea played the part of the cook. R.I.P. both you guys!

A rainy Saturday morning and I’m to Meet a friend for breakfast. Tiny parking lot was full! Made my way there and had a short wait. Greeted right away – wonderful, homey, farm/home cookin/cozy feel. An ad for a cooking class at the restaurant looks cool. Once we are seated we are greeted warmly and coffee is poured. I had a goat cheese omelette. Yum. Perfect. Side salad by request with a nice in house made vinaigrette. My friend loves her hash dish. Took bacon cinnamon rolls home for the family! Lovely place.

This is one of my favorite places in Petaluma. Great food and service. I’m sad they aren’t open for dinner anymore. Go for brunch and don’t skip the mimosas.

This is a really cool restaurant that has a great vibe and a nice menu. I had a late breakfast with my wife while in the area and we split the benedict and the coconut rice pudding. The meal was good though not great. I enjoyed my breakfast at Wishbone and would certainly recommend it if you’re in the area.

Wishbone is great place for weekend brunch or lunch. Locally sourced, our house grown & house made, everything is always delicious. The hash changes regularly, but is great. Biscuits & gravy are yummy. Coffee drinks are pretty amazing. It’s a pretty small place, and there’s always a wait for a table on the weekend, but it’s worth it. Just don’t wait til you’re starving to go get your name on the list. Highly recommended, though grips of more than four will be hard to seat. It’s just a small place.

Went here for brunch. Definitely a homestyle type café with tons to look at with and a professional culinary type menu. The meat options are kind of skim but lets you explore traditional dishes made in different way. All wholesome, homemade cuisine which really reflects on your taste buds. Personally im not a vegetarian but their interpretation of Eggs Benedict was amazing. The goat cheese is light, non goaty and will definitely return.

Fabulous! We entered the door and the folks behind the counter smiled and greeted us as though we were regulars. The dining room was a bit busy and it was so lovely out we were offered to be escorted to the garden patio dining area. You know that it must be special because the hall was long slender giving you a feeling of a surprise awaiting you. The waitress moved like the wind to serve the tables she was responsible for without breaking a sweat or making anyone wait any longer then necessary. She was a lovely cheerful lady who kept the coffee flowing and the smiles abundant. The coffee is a Petaluma based coffee company. Very smooth. The food we ordered left us fat and sassy! Recommend? Ummm YES! Come… eat…love

Wishbone is lovely! From the cheery and smiling wait staff, to the freshly baked bread, and then there are the amazing mimosas and Loose leaf tea… this place rocks! The décor is really cool, the place is clean. This is definitely the best brunch in southern Sonoma county.

I wanted to like this place, it’s walking distance to my house. It’s cute, it’s quaint, everything about it I wanted to like, well except for the fact that there had to be 25+ flies, I get it, it’s warm, it’s summer, and it’s a little place, but something should be done to mitigate the issue. We came for dinner recently. The house pickles are amazing, but the portion is so tiny for the price that it’s not worth it. These aren’t expensive ingredients, give a little more to hook your people to come back. We ordered the short rib special, which did not come on a bone, it was tiny, dried out, and cold in the center like it had been tossed on a plate and microwaved before having sauce put ontop. It tasted more like leftover potroast… The potatoes were good. We also had the fried chicken which was ok, but not remarkable to the point that I would ever crave it(and I crave fried chicken… often!) Maybe I was expecting too much, humble pie was in my top 5 sonoma county recipies, and this seems to lack the the imagination and care that their food used to have…

Fresh and uniquely reinvented brunch options in a funky location The Visit Sunday morning breakfast, a table for two Service and Atmosphere Service is very welcoming and friendly. Talking to the staff felt like chatting with a new friend. Coffee refills were a little problematic as they bypassed me twice, instead refilling the tables on both sides of me. Admittedly, that’s a little frustrating when coffee is needed pronto. But all other service was prompt and helpful. If you come early, seating won’t be a problem. But the later it gets in the morning, you’re going to wait. Also, if you sit in the first room upon entering, it can get warm, seriously warm. The second room is much more comfortable. The Food This is where the fun happened. The food had unique flavors and presentations. For example, the Eggs Benedict was served with bacon cups holding the eggs. Clever and yummy. The carnitas and polenta I enjoyed, had various unique flavors that incorporated sweet and savory. I’d sum up the food as something for foodies(even if I do dislike that word). Location A note about parking — it’s bad. The unpaved parking lot is a bit of a joke with cars being doubled parked, blocking people in. I parked at the grocery store across the street with ample parking. I did openly disregard the warning of towing with no issue. If you like breakfast, but want something local that doesn’t resemble your standard brekky joint, this is the place for you — and come early.

Found this place thanks to fellow Unilocalers! So so good! Delicious farm fresh food that’s honest and hearty. The Cappuccinos were fantastic(had to get two) my Wife and I split the Queso-Zilla and a short stack of Sourdough pancakes. YES. Highly recommend both. We got seated quickly and the service was great. The space is super eclectic and unique, we really enjoyed that. I will say there were a ton of flies from people coming in and out of the front door. But it was a bit annoying to continuosly shoo flies while you try to enjoy the amazing food and I’d be lying if I didn’t mention it because it was very apparent. All in all we would definitely come back! Don’t forget to tip your servers!

Yeah, I ate everything on my plate. The love and I came here for a little midweek brekkie and everything was stellar. –everything is home made, apparently. Right down to the most flavorful sourdough I’ve had since my pop’s. –I ordered the last(and I can see why) cured ham breakfast. Love ordered the traditional brekkie. Pork is local and is cured right outback. Amazing flavor, fat was rendered perfectly. Eggs(both poached and over easy) were on point. Bacon was crispy and flavorful. Roasted tomatoes are dreamy. There’s a Yukon potato hash brown cake served with each breakfast that we couldn’t get enough of. I live for their JAM! It is my jam. –service is impeccable. Stefanie is personable and friendly and will take care of all your needs. –once I discovered the owner is also the chef, I knew this place was like the Narnia of breakfast locals. Thy care of your experience. They care about your food. There are no more wishes to be had, they’ve fulfilled them.

I found this place on a whim, just looking for a breakfast spot while in the area on a Sunday morning. Thank you Unilocal! My wife and I were very impressed. We arrived around 10:30 and waited 10 min for a table. Their special Sunday brunch menu was impressive, hard to choose from. I went with the«Benny» my wife chose the pulled pork. My wife kept saying«everything tastes so fresh» and is because it is. The menu apparently changes when ingredient are sourced locally and in season. The seating area is a bit cramped, you will be sitting right next to patrons at adjacent tables. Very neighborly local Petaluma atmosfer.

Husband picked this place. He said he searched brunch on Unilocal and this was the first thing that showed up. So off we go since weren’t familiar with Petaluma. There’s a small parking lot. Ambience was nice and homey. It has that hippie/hipster feel. Their bathroom which is located outside had great decors. I thought it was cute. I wanted to get breakfast but since it was already lunch time I got enticed to getting sandwiches. We shared the ultimate blt and bbq pork sandwiches. Bread was yummy and u know it’s fresh. Food was okay, I was expecting more especially with the name ultimate blt. Service was great. One thing that my husband noticed is that there’s a phone charger area behind where the servers were checking their phones.

This is by far the best food we’ve had in a restaurant in a very long time. Everything was great. It really makes a difference when everything is made in house with fresh ingredients. We had the: Benedict SLOWROASTEDTOMATO&FRESHHERBSFROMTHEIRGARDENPATIO! WITH2POACHEDEGGS&LUSCIOUSLEMONYHOLLANDAISE. SERVEDONHOUSEMADEBREADWITHPOTATOES&FRUIT. -$ 13 We didn’t want the fruit and they gladly substituted it for a green salad. The hollandaise sauce was one of the best ever. It had a hint of lemon and was not to over powering. and the: FARMERSBREAKFASTBOARD HOUSE-CUREDBACON, also known as bacon steak. Yes bacon steak that you need a knife to cut. It was fabulous. SERVEDWITHPUGS-LEAPGOATCHEESE, OLIVETAPANADE, HOUSE-MADEBREAD, STRAWBERRY&RASPBERRYJAM&NASTURTIUMBUTTER. PLUSFRESHGREENS, ROASTEDTOMATO&ONEPOACHEDEGG. -$ 14 If I lived closer I would have the farmers breakfast board once a week. It was that good. Their coffee, which was also some of the best I’ve ever had, and the black tea, also some of the best were from Petaluma Coffee & Tea Company. Our server, Lee Lee(?), I got the name from our receipt, was friendly and attentive. She approached our table with a smile every time. The ambiance at Wishbone is rustic. Good rustic homemade food that tastes like it was made with love. I’m surprised this place doesn’t have a Michelin Star. It should. I’m sad they no longer serve dinner. I’m looking forward to attending one of their pop up dinners.

Wishbone is AWESOME! My daughter goes to school in Santa Cruz and we try new breakfast places whenever she is in town, we were really excited to try Wishbone. I loved the décor, the staff is attentive and the food was delicious! I had the savory toast, the flavors were unique and a nice change from a regular old breakfast. My daughter had the coconut rice pudding, she was a fan, the portion was large so she had some to bring home as well. I can’t wait to go back for dinner, such a cool little place in a cool little town.

As the only 50-somethings in the restaurant, we felt a little out of place. This restaurant is trying very hard to be the trendy«in» spot for Sonoma County hipster wannabes. I put my game face on and ordered a glass of Voignier(betcha thought an old lady would order Chardonnay, didn’t you.) They didn’t have the hubby’s usual IPA, so the helpful and sweet server suggested another beer. I could have sworn she said Heroin and was a little alarmed. Turns out she said Heroine, which was a kickass local beer. Turning to the menu, «Oh my goodness,» I thought, «Is quiche a thing again?» Apparently so, because the dish I remember from 30 years ago is on Wishbone’s menu. This quiche was much gooier and custardier(are those words?) than the quiche of 1985, though. I didn’t think it was a good change. Our server was delightful and friendly. However, she ran through the many specials very quickly. The last special on her list involved some kind of beef, which she emphasized as «house raised.»(I kept looking around for cattle, but did not see any in the house.) My hubby loves beef, and thought she said«beef bourguinon.» It turns out that it was beef bolognese, and he is NOT particularly a fan of pasta. This dish was really a bust because(1) there was hardly any beef in it, house raised or otherwise, and(2) it was loaded with chili flakes. Yuck. In conclusion, Wishbone barely gets a 3⁄5 rating for the friendly service, funky décor, and valiant effort with the menu.

You have not been to a true«farm to table» place until you have been to Wishbone. Literally everything comes directly from their farm to their tables. EVERYTHING is handmade, and that makes it SOOOO delicious. The absolute must try item on the menu is the sour dough pancakes. They are super unique and come with a berry jam that I could probably eat on its own. We also got the hash and the cinnamon roll, which were good, but not my favorites — I’d probably try something else next time. All in all, a very cute brunch spot!

After a long day at work, we decided to take the kids for a meal at what we heard was a good local place. A new place. A place we thought we would support. FOOD … Well below average. I will only speak to the worst of the four dishes — The Pork Chop. Lauded as the crème de la crème and a specialty of the place. They even grow their own pigs, etc. Who could resist!?! The pork chop arrived and was over 50% fat, and what meat there was, was overcooked. Price $ 28. Pork Chop Link: SERVICE … This is always an interesting evaluation. To do what is normal and expected is not«good service», but expected service. Good service is what a restaurant does when things go wrong. As in the case of the pork chop. When asked, «Are all of your cuts this fatty?» they responded with«This particular pig happened be fat!» The question, however was not intended to ascertain the health and fitness of the pig, but a polite way to say the pork chop«sucked.» To which an excellent service provider would say: «How can we correct this unfortunate event for you?» By way of example, they could offer to take it off the bill, reduce the price, or offer a dessert for the kids. Something. Anything. All we got was«this little piggy was a fatso!» LOCATION… Busy and loud. You are sitting at a very busy intersection, four feet away from the road, with cars coming from every direction. Hopeful none run a light or make a turn too fast, careening into the restaurant, and over you and your children. The seats were hard, wobbly and cramped. All seat covers came from Grandma’s house and just as old. PRICE… The price for two kids’ meal and two adult meals, no wine, with tip, was over $ 110. Not worth a third of that. WEWILLNEVERGOAGAIN.

Absolutely delicious! Order the honey lavender latte… oh my lord my brother ordered it and I almost drank it all and I don’t even drink coffee any more! Eggs cooked to perfection over my sausage gravy and biscuit. My brother had the standard breakfast plate with perfect bacon, eggs, and he substituted honey and yogurt for toast. It’s a small dining room with funky decorations but it has a real personality to it with friendly service. Their parking lot is small so on the weekends you might have to park on the street around the corner. I’ll definitely be back!
