Small restaurant in downtown Petoskey with a bar and sit-down options. Kid-friendly. Peanuts before a meal instead of the typical bread is refreshing, and you’re allowed to throw the shells on the floor. I ordered the Jalapeño burger cooked medium and it was perfect pink on the inside. The sweet potato fries were also very good and I recommend. The music selection was also amazing. Good casual bar dining w/great burgers and drinks.

Monday night, they must have been feeling lazy. Bad service. No effort to sell drinks so I had water with a decent sandwich. No effort to bring a check when I was done(had my card sitting on the table) so I could leave. Meh.

Unfortunately being busy doesn’t give you an excuse to be rude to customers. You would think a busy bar would make the employees happy, apparently being polite and making money is not their objective. Instead they serve you drinks you didn’t order and then act like it is somehow your fault that it’s the wrong drink order. The female bartender should definitely consider a new profession because she is obviously miserable in her current position. Petoskey is a beautiful place to visit just don’t include the Mitchell St Pub in your stop.

It’s that bar you just so happen to stumble in to but you’re so glad you did. Get a Spanish coffee or some craft beer. The company will vary, but it shouldn’t disappoint. Check out the solid old jukebox, bet you haven’t had to use a touch screen in a while.

I frequently come here and today the service was the best I’ve ever had and the food was beyond exceptional. We frequent here often and it is always good.

For a bar/restaurant this is a pretty good choice. I would suggest the fried mushrooms! They are so good! The service is usually ok, but I feel they lack servers on busy nights. It’s a really cool experience though! Fair prices as well.

Very cool place! Very eclectic! I’ve never been someplace where they call a wasps nest décor. A vast array of gaudy décor that equals cool hang out. And great beer!

Service and waitress was great. We’ve eaten here lots of times. Tonite I got the salmon burger. It was not very great. Was lukewarm and was on a dollar store bun. Pretty chincy. It was a microwaved frozen salmon patty that I could have done a lot better at, at home. Oh well. We’ll be back. Just won’t get that again. My wife was happy with her quesadilla but the corn chips with it were again the cheapest quality that exists.

Wow is all I can say… The male bartender with the brown hair and the enlarged belly. Sorry to pick him out but when you’re willing to make a MUG of a customer then this is what you deserve. After waiting at the bar, and ordering four drinks for myself and three friends. I was told that I cannot order that and at a real pub/bar I have to wait at table to be served. I therefore obliged and went to a table… After waiting 15minutes no server arrived. So went back to the rude bartender to ask how do I order a drink? Only to be told that I have to wait for a server. Asking who the servers are? I had the bartender shrug his shoulders an turn his back. I left at that point because of the lack of hospitality. You have no right to call yourselves a pub. Honestly a disgrace to the name pub and Petosky. Shame on you.

Was in town over NYE and needed a place to eat on 12⁄30 for dinner. 3 of us in total and a couple of our friends said to check this place out. Right in the heart of downtown and I think they had two entrances? One went to the bar and the other to the dining room. We got seated right away but this place was pretty busy and an ocean of people blocked the way to the bathrooms in the back. Two separate dining areas: one is the more so bar area, lots of beers on tap and the other is a more quiet dining area mostly a wall of booths by the kitchen. The decorations are funky with random pictures and things on the wall. Everywhere you look there is something new to look at. We ordered a pretzel appetizer which was decent enough to feed 3 people. The olive burger I heard from my friend was delicious and I got the Reuben sandwich. Good flavor and I also got the sweet potato fries, a little soggy tho. The bathroom was tucked all the way in the back and was very cold and old. Nothing all that great. Our waitress was fine, not overly friendly and just did her job. Even when we were done with dinner this place was still noisy and people were still coming in. Next time I am up there, I’ll try something else though.

Wondering around looking to have a good time with our husbands for their birthdays. And we found it with Amy! She was great and gave our husbands a hard time. Always great to watch. Thank you can’t wait to come back and see you soon!

My kind of place, and yours too if you’re into great Michigan craft beers, delicious burgers, and a great eclectic atmosphere. My girlfriend and I are historians/archivists so naturally we immediately chose a seat right next to the shelves chock full of vintage books, sewing machines, and radios… too good. Enough TVs to allow a great crowd to enjoy a UofM football game, but not so many that we felt like we were in some chain sports bar. We both had burgers and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate a place that actually knows what medium means! Will definitely visit again, and I wish I lived closer.

BEST grilled cheese! Typical pub — dark, lots of stuff on the walls and ceiling. Good food!

First time here. It will take your 3 beers to look at everything on the walls… it is amazing!!! The staff is super friendly and the selection of Michigan craft beer is really great! The shell on roasted peanuts are that true touch of class that every great bar should have! This is a MUST if your in town and a great local hang out. Prices are very fair and you won’t leave hungry. Enjoy!

My husband and I ate here on a recent trip to Petoskey. We enjoyed the overall feeling of the place. There are some really neat antiques in the room with the bar. We sat in the room that did not include the bar. I had the veggie nachos. They were just ok, but I think that was my fault — I’m a picky eater and took a couple things off that probably took some of the flavor off. My husband had the patty melt with onion soup and really enjoyed it. Our server wasn’t super friendly, but it was later in the day, so maybe she was tired. Other servers seemed to have a much cheerier disposition. The restaurant was very clean. I would go back and try something different. My parents ate here a few days after we did on our recommendation. They both had burgers and said they were good.

This was a dimly lit bar filled with delightful treasures! I had several giggles just noticing/exploring all the different signs and random décor. The bartender was welcoming and very helpful to point out some local places to visit. my drink was average, but the nacho skins were delicious! I need a nap now because they were so heavy. If I were a local, this would be my «Go To» for sure!

I’m not even s beer drinker, yet they have a fantastic selection of beer. Many MI beers on tap! I had the awesome coffee and it was pretty awesome. He had a few of the MI beers including the Kentucky Breakfast Stout, tonga vanilla porter and Gonzos porter nitro. I had the turkey Ruben and it was just okay. He had the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was also just okay. Chips were stale. It’s clear that this is a drink place rather than a food place. Service wasn’t great.

I had the party melt and my wife had the olive burger which was covered in melted cheese. This is a great place to meet friends and have a really good burger.

This place is exactly what i would expect to find in a small northern town, and that’s a good thing! Had a very laid back, very welcoming feel. The waitress was very friendly and helpful in suggesting a beer and bringing out a sample or two. We started as a table of 4 but added one more before we ordered our entrees. Were there on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy but adding one more was no problem. When you think pub and pub food you don’t think soup, but everyone loved the soup! Both the French onion and the white chicken chili were great. Warning — the white chicken chili is more like a meal. It comes with a side of cheese and tortilla chips. The fried mushrooms were the perfect appetizer. Also the burges, nachos, and Ruben all got 2 thumbs up. If you want to relax after a day on the water or a day of shopping check this place out. You will also love the eclectic décor!
