Papa Lous is where ol KM had his first an only live show that changed him from being an «INNERNETRAPPER»(another one of those«DAILYREMINDERS» from those obsessed ex-girfriends LOTB) into a full blown professinal LLC corporate rapper. Good beer, soda and pizza pieces but there was no crowd for the show which kinda put me in a bad mood. i promoted on myspace and on the usual message boards but I thought papa Lou would do some promoting his self which did NOT happen. Peopel were also upset that I was rapping over tracks with vocals on them but I lost the master CDR which had the instermentals on it, so KM had to improvse. No worries though because it was all 100% LIVEKMVOCALS none of that DAT tape b******t that some fake michigan rappers use. Papa Lous is closed down now but it lives in my gothic black n blue heart.

The pizza was good. But I ordered broccoli and it was almost all stalks with no florets. The waitresses had the attitude of entitled teenage children. The woman seating us seemed like she didn’t want to be there. I’d order take out so you don’t have to tip. Also, this was a long time ago, but it really made a lasting impact on me, and I noticed my previous review was hidden.

We stopped in while staying in Petoskey and it was okay. The service was great — we had a really friendly waiter who kept our drinks filled and checked in without being obnoxious. The pizza was pretty decent but not really what I expect for wood fire pizza. My husband had a half Caesar salad and that cost $ 7.50 — which seems ridiculous for a half salad. Our oldest had the chicken tenders which were good and I had the build your own pasta — which our waiter recommended over any of their pasta offerings. It was just okay as well — the sauce wasn’t particularly tasty. Overall I don’t expect we’ll return.

Walked out after rude owner seemed put out to get us a table or tables for 10. Most restaurants would be excited to get a table of 10 people. This owner practically chased us out. And don’t ask to sit up on the top deck — its too difficult for them to get food to you. You can go get it yourself, but don’t ask them to do it. Will never go again. Walked over to Mitchell Street Pub and had a great meal.

We love the pizza here. Arguably the best in Petoskey. Never had a bad one yet. They are not cheap but they are good. Try their pizza!

We had the cheesy garlic bread and Della Donna pizza that our waitress Mandy recommended — they are our new favorites!!! The cheesy bread comes with a nice marinara dipping sauce, but we got a side of ranch dressing — we devoured it — almost didn’t have room for the pizza. Fortunately the Della Donna reheats nicely. Thanks Mandy !!!

Food was awesome! Got the French onion soup in the bread boil. It was the perfect temperature coming out which is important for soup! I nibbled on the bread bowl after the soup which was delicious and cheesy. Our server Josh was super nice and personable. Food came out in good time. Great atmosphere, and a good place for food or drinks. Loved it!

First time here this past Saturday with my boyfriend. We were staying in Torch Lake and wanted to try something new. We had French Onion Soup which was in a huge bread bowl, and was delicious. Also ordered Bruschetta app. That was good too! We ordered a large pizza and added our own toppings, was great. Can’t wait to go back here when we go up north again! Server was friendly and we also bought two t-shirts!

I’ve been here before and had great food and service. This time however was completely ridiculous. Was told our wait would be 15min and we waited 35min. While waiting at the bar, we ordered a drink(Caramel Bailey’s in Coffee) Bartender was unsmiling to the point of rude and served me Cinnamon Baileys instead. When we asked about just ordering from the bar, we were told that she preferred we didn’t if we were moving to another table because she didn’t want to have to bring it to our table. Clearly our business wasn’t needed or wanted. Seemed very understaffed for a Saturday afternoon. Tables were open but still had people waiting. Menu doesn’t allow for any substitutions either and we’re just talking about crispy vs grilled chicken on a salad. Food was ok, but waiter was clueless.

Was looking for somewhere to eat casual with fried whitefish and was told to go to Papa Lou’s. Well No Whitefish here but I found a pretty darn good Northern-Midwest pizza place and bar. First off I’m not a fan of medium crust pizza but this pizza actually worked for me. I ordered the six meat 14″ except I subbed out one of the meats for my fave lil anchovies. Warning — this pizza is filling even on a cold rainy night. I hadn’t eaten anything substantial either all day. Pizza was actual delish despite my love for NY style pizza or true Italian Margherita pizza. Service was pleasant and friendly. This would be a great place for a large group of hungry beer loving people or actually anyone. I had 2 boxes of leftovers. Lol Lots of pictures included of the bottom floor and the upper level. They even had an outdoor balcony but the picture didn’t come out. Worth checking out!

Must stop for us every time we are in town. Love downtown Petoskey and it’s atmosphere. Haven’t had a bad meal here, and we’ve had just about everything. If your visiting or just driving through… Papa Lou’s a great place to stop and unwind.

Papa Lou’s? More like Papa Poo’s. This place is a tourist trap. If someone recommends the food at this place to you they’ve probably burned the taste receptors out of their mouth while eating one of the burgers.

Great hours for those of us who have been out on the boat all day and have their eating schedule a little skewed(on a Thursday night they were serving full menu till 10 and pizza till 12)…and our Heap of Meat pizza was nothing short of incredible. Definitely recommend!

Very pricy, along with«owner or manager» who insisted on bussing table telling us he had to get the table ready for the next guests even though I hadn’t received the bill to pay plus the credit card fee, all adds to a very negative experience, off the list!

Food was amazing and great outdoor balcony seating(2 levels!) was available with a view of the bay. Great draft beer selection and Friday night they had live music outside as well. This is so much more than a pizza place with several pages of different types of menu items. The Buffalo Chicken Dip was served in a bread bowl and was just the best. Highly recommend it!

Good was good but not good enough for the price. The meal was $ 8/plate quality but cost $ 16. They had the nerve to add a credit card convenience fee to the order after way over pricing everything. Our waitress acted like we were an inconvenience and rarely visited our table. This, while countless wait and buss staff sat around us laughing at inside jokes. It was like we weren’t even there. I don’t mind paying $ 50 for a lunch if I get $ 50 worth of food and atmosphere. But here I didn’t get either.

We always go to Papa Louie’s when we come to the Harbor Springs area to go skiing. I had the BBQ chicken pizza that had corn on it. It was good but a little bland. Too much corn and not enough sauce. My husband had the Boston burger with coleslaw and cheese on it with a side of sweet French sauce. He loved it! Two of my kids had a grinder. The pizza grinder and turkey club. They really enjoyed it and the grinders are served on bread that is made fresh daily. Good service and fun atmosphere

This year, our service was terrific… and they were cool with my kids. BOOM…dig on the greek pizza too! NOBODY does lamb and/or tzatziki on a pie… let alone kielbasa… I STILL wouldn’t order anything else besides fries. The rest of the menu screams of SYSCO frozen shit… lasagna rolls? really?

Looked like a good place with great music and fun atmosphere but ended up being an expensive disappointing evening. There was an abundance of empty tables but we couldn’t be seated for 20 minutes because there weren’t enough servers available. Ordered the Chicken Marsala at the recommendation of our server. Described on the menu as «Chicken topped with a wild mushroom blend, roasted garlic and Marsala wine sauce.» This consisted of breaded chicken(that could have only come straight out of a freezer bag.) topped with a «Marsala» wine sauce — otherwise known as brown gravy with canned mushrooms, not a hint of flavor from Marsala wine. On the side was completely mushy, extremely overcooked«pasta» also covered with canned mushroom brown gravy, and a few pieces of steamed veggies. It was barely edible. When the server came to retrieve plates, she didn’t bat an eye that most of the plate hadn’t been touched and«to go boxes» were not needed. Others in the party ordered a pizza and while it looked and tasted ok, parts of the crust were soggy and the chicken had gristle. For 4 of us the total was $ 62 which was only $ 7 less than our excellent meal at a white tablecloth restaurant the night before. Bus boys slamming(we’re talking SLAMMING!) dishes near by was nerve racking. We probably would have had a better dinner at McDonalds and I don’t do fast food. Cannot recommend.

I was here for lunch and ordered the giant pizza with some friends. It was delicious. The place looks like it would be a ton of fun at night.
