Our waiter was nowhere to be found half the time. Food was not good:( Only good part was the food runner. He was awesome

This is a usual spot for me and my fiends. I love the place and the food, they have great happy hour specials. But tonight, was not a great experience. Our service was unknowledgeable and rude. She charged us the wrong things and continued to argue about it with us. Her name was Autumn and I was not impressed with her service :(Makes me question ever going back.

What a great atmosphere, had a live band, it was a little loud in there even before the band started playing but still enjoyable. Our server was very attentive, don’t remember her name(young, short blonde girl) but she did a wonderful job. Wife and I ordered the bbq chicken pizza and buffalo chicken dip, both very good, the dip wasn’t too hot more mild sauce type. The only reason it wasn’t 5 star for me was their draft selection, very basic barish with a few craft brews, no ciders(actually only Woodchuck in a bottle was offered).

I’ve been going to the Noggin room for over 5 years. I always just thought it was ok but enjoyed the atmosphere and sometimes they have good bands. My fiancé and his friends have been going here most of their lives. The food has continually been getting worse, beer list is just ok, and management is the worst! My fiancé and all of his friends did the mug challenge and earned their«free mugs». At some point, they lost his mug. I understand these things happen so after I was told they would not replace it without us purchasing a replacement I paid to have his mug remade as a Christmas gift. For the last 2 years when we are in the area we stop to see if his mug has been made/found. Every time we are told that their«system is down» and they can’t check. Last 2 times, I insisted on talking to a manager… the manager snuck out the back door after making me wait for an hour. I was told the manager would call me… of course I’m still waiting. I’ve tried calling to talk to the manager and always get the runaround. At this point, I just want my money back! This is considered theft in my eyes!

We ordered spinach dip, a pizza, wings, and the Michigan berry salad. The food was tasty and hot. The waiter was very nice and honest — almost too honest. We asked about the soup of the day, and after he described it, he told us to just order the regular soups(he obviously wasn’t a fan of the soup du jour). We sat outside on the patio to enjoy the summer weather, and were glad we didn’t have to wait for a table.

Awesome local place for great food(fish n chips) and local brewed beer(Hornet Monk!). Met some locals and fellow travelers and got the inside scoop on the best place to view the sunset. Spectacular!

Took almost an hour to get food after we ordered and the waitress was less than apologetic. The beer and popcorn is good, but don’t go for the food on a busy night.

Great food, great service. The salads are very fresh, the michigan side salad was excellent. We also tried the beet burger and asked them to add goat cheese, it was amazing, the server was very accommodating. Bloody were really good as well.

Good casual dinning. They have a good selection of Michigan craft beer on tap. They serve pop corn instead of bread when you’re first seated, which I enjoyed. My husband and I got a pepperoni pizza and it was very delicious.

Mixed reviews. Food and beer deals are great, but service is constantly sub par. I’m a local and stop going to this place for months at a time due to poor service and lost/forgotten orders. Being part of a hotel, service should be their top focus.

Great atmosphere and great food! Good for families, especially as the popcorn kept the kids busy while waiting for their food. Pizza was fantastic as were the fish tacos. Will definitely return!

We were staying in Petoskey for a ski trip and the people at the hotel front desk recommended the Noggin Pub. We had a great dinner and will definitely return. I had the whitefish special which was tasty and fresh. My husband had the open face prime rib sandwich and said it was really good with tasty äu jus. My oldest had a burger and said it was solid. My youngest had one of the pizzas and loved it. I had a few bites and would agree — the crust had a great flavor and texture. Overall, this is definitely worth checking out.

This is the place to hang out, watch sports, listen to live music, eat popcorn, have a nice meal that is not expensive, and all in whatever you want to wear from shorts to suits. No one is judging you in this location and you can always find something that will suit your tastes. Our family picks here first for most of our meals out because it is famiy friendly. Stafford’s hospitality runs an awesome business too!

What a find! Pizza is very good. I had a fried fish basket that was also excellent. Live music is a great addition.

Was in town for the first time. I always find the best thing to do is ask the locals. We asked two different locals and both 1st answer was Roggins. With that said, we had to check it out. We loved the basement pub vibe and the live music by a one man band was pretty awesome. The food i would say is above average. Had a burger and the whitefish tacos that the waitress recommended. All in all, a good time

Been in here a couple times now. Not sure what the weekday situation is like, but during summer months on the weekends this place gets a decent crowd. Live music. Good vibe. Tried the cheese crostini appetizer. Highly recommend it. Split two of the grinders — the Italian and the Perry. The Perry had grilled chicken and pesto on it. I thought it was excellent. The service was great. The beer selection was good, too. Wish I wasn’t so wiped out from a long day. Would’ve liked to have stayed longer. Will definitely make it a point to stop here again when I’m in the area.

Simple bar and food. Good, cozy and nicely located on whatever bay is outside. The bartender Michael makes the place extraordinary. Super knowledgeable about the area and the 100 year old property. He’s also an expert drink hacker. Ask for an Oberade, beer lovers.

I found the Noggin Room to be a very cool place to hang out and relax. Huge beer selection including many local choices. I ordered the whitefish dinner(see picture) and enjoyed it very much. It was pretty much the only thing on the menu that you would not consider«bar food». But that was OK, since many places only have bar food. This meal was typical to a nicer restaurant, but you still had the great beer selection and atmosphere. The whitefish was broiled and a fairly large piece. It was served with mashed potatoes and vegetable. For me, this was a healthy choice. I consider it worth a repeat the next time I am in Petoskey. Finally, if you are in to history, the Perry Hotel is great. It is right in town, has great views of the bay, and overall service has always been good.

I stopped in with a friend who is a big fan. We were mostly here for drinks but also had some wings. I can say if all of the food is as good as the wings, then I need to come back. They had a cherry BBQ sauce is awesome. My friend wanted to know where to buy it and we were told that it is made in house. The pub is under the Perry Hotel and has an old-timey tavern feel. There are several glass mugs hanging. My friend said there is a challenge to try all of the beers and have your own mug. We were here during the middle of the day so it was fairly quiet. The waitress gave us great service, though she may have had more time to chat as as there were only a few tables. I was also a fan of the popcorn she brought to the table along with our drinks.
