I asked if they could make a macchiato because I didn’t see it on the menu. The guy taking my order says, «What’s that?» I didn’t know the exact ratio of milk to espresso to tell him, so I just ordered a doppio. Again, met with confusion. He told me «I’ve been doing coffee for six years and I don’t know those terms. Are those Starbucks terms? I’ve never been to Starbucks, sorry.» Anyone who’s been making coffee for six years should know the basic, common Italian terms used for espresso drinks. That might not have been an issue had my espresso not been as sour as a green apple Warhead. I couldn’t finish it. I went back to order an Earl Grey to get the taste out of my mouth, but I had to wait 10 minutes to drink it because it was insanely hot. If their water temperature is that high, it might explain why the espresso was overbrewed. This place is very nice, and there’s a great view of the lake. Their food appears well made(and very generously portioned), so perhaps it’s just a matter of a not so metro area having iffy coffee. Or perhaps it was a bad day. I would give this place another chance, but maybe it’s just better for flavored lattes and sandwiches.

There was a time I would have given this place four stars, but those days are long gone. It’s one of those cafes you want to like, and keep going back in hopes it changes… but never does. Lime many others said, the food is OK, but the service is nothing but attitude. You feel like you are bothering them. Today I went and decided it was my final attempt. If good this time I would come back, if history repeated itself, I won’t return. I ordered our food and the guy gave me my total. He swiped my card, handed it back and spun the screen for the tip and to sign as he walked away. Never asks of I wanted chips or coleslaw, never said«thank you», simply turned his back on us and walked away. I’ve seen this with multiple employees, including whom I told was the owner. The food would have to be pretty incredible to deal with the employee’s attitudes… but it isn’t. It’s OK, I’d even say good. Just not worth returning.

Beautiful location and decent coffee. The oatmeal craisin cookie was like a hockey puck, though, and the barista acted like I was imposing on his time. Another customer came in and it was too much bother for him to tell her if they had free wifi. The cookie I can forgive as a one-time thing but I wouldn’t go back because of the attitude.

I also was asked what tip percent I wanted to leave before ever tasting my coffee. I was happy they had a variety of milks. However what I didn’t care for was all the religious items around the shop. That turned me off. I don’t push my beliefs on people and I choose not to be a patron of a coffee shop who rightfully displays their beliefs. Coffee was good for the price, glad I didn’t stay to drink it.

Great coffee shop with a lake view. Everything is new and modern, with plenty of places for small groups of people to sit around. Great ambience, John Williams music playing in the background is inspiring!

First time there. Had lunch to go. B l a n d. Coffee was great. Brownies are great. Paid with credit card, the young cashier took a long time to process everything to get a total, then she turned her computer screen to me where I was prompted/made to choose what amount $$ tip I would like to leave. It had its own screen. I had not even had a taste of my food yet. That turned me OFF. I will go back only for coffee and bakery BUT will be paying with cash not credit.

They brew Alterra coffee, and they brew it right. The prices are around $ 1.60 for a small coffee. The Good They have a great location! On a beautiful day, its the next best thing to Alterra on the lake in Milwaukee. The Bad They put orange flavoring into the icing on their cinnamon rolls. If you like that, awesome. If you don’t, then it’s a sad day for your mouth. The Ugly When they are busy it can take a while to get to the counter, they are not as quick as a bigger coffee shop, so have patience and take a deep breath. The short of it — It is a nice little coffee shop that brews a decent cup of Joe. So grab a cup, sit on a bench and soak in the sun.

The view from this café is beautiful. You can sit inside the glassed in porch and watch the lake all day. I tried the spinach-fetta quiche which was delicious.

Brewer’s Two has beautiful views of Pewaukee Lake. It’s located right on the downtown strip and there are big windows so you look out at the water. If you go there, get the blueberry oatmeal. It is not ANYTHING like the packaged oatmeal you’re picturing. It is home baked and made with real oats and whole, juicy blueberries. It is served with a side of warm milk(to pour over it) and fresh fruit. Healthiest and tastiest item on the menu! It’s a great place to sit and chat. They are open in the mornings/early afternoon. Oh, and their coffee is pretty good, too. :)
