Pretty sure it’s closed now. Drove by and it’s a Mexican place?

I ordered a hamburger and my husband ordered the chicken fried steak. Hamburger was thicker than expected, unlike some restaurants that serve Whataburger-thin patties. Chicken fried steak was good. Neither meal was exceptional, nor was it bad. Prices were fair as well. Other than the endless salad, there aren’t really any healthy options on the menu. Kid friendly.

This location has been a struggle for several restaurants. When I saw there was a new restaurant coming in I thought I better check it out. I assume it will take a place with something really special to hold its ground here. However what I found was just decent food. Everything about this place was very average, the ambiance to the food. I had the pflavor town chicken and it was tasty but kind of boring. I liked that it came with a salad but I got more dressing than salad. The service was friendly and I hope this mom and pop place does well, but I am worried that this unlucky location will be its downfall.

I have been in 2 times now with my husband. Both times were great. Home cooking taste fresh and Pflavor-ful! My husband got the country fried steak, it was good. I had the chicken sandwich and the jalapeño ranch on it was very good. Will go back soon!

We were across the street getting my car inspected and re-noticed this place while trying to pull out so we said«Why not?» and drove across. The only folks there on a Thursday night. Nice little local place which I can appreciate. Down home décor. Service was decent and our waiter seemed nice enough. The food seemed a strange mix of homemade and from-frozen. The chicken fried steak seemed homemade but lacked a lot of flavor I usually want. My fried okra I was not too pleased with. Most obviously pre-frozen and not the good brand. The mashed potatoes seemed hand mashed but the gravy on the CFS and mashed left a bit to be desired as well. My husband ordered a burger which was dripping grease so he only ate a small amount of it. The best part was the appetizer which was fried mushrooms. I can’t find these anywhere and these were pretty good. I don’t know if we’d ever eat here again but I feel like other people might like them so I would suggest you give them a chance. It’s not too expensive either.

I’m glad to see there’s a new restaurant in town and hope it does well. There have been several other restaurants at this location already and they didn’t succeed. I don’t know what it is with Pflugerville not being able to sustain more restaurants. Anyway — I was happy to see that the menu at Pflavor Town was home cooking, which is not something that’s all too easy to find any more. The place was clean but still fairly empty for a Saturday evening when I went with my wife and son. The menu items are a good mix of burgers and sandwiches to your home-cooking staples like chicken fried steak, meat loaf, chicken, etc. My wife had the smothered chicken, my son tried the chicken fried steak, and I had the Beef Tips. My wife’s smothered chicken was«OK» according to her. Nothing great, but not bad either. She got it without the gravy which it was supposed to come with, so part of that was her fault. My son’s chicken fried steak was fairly bland. My beef tips were cooked to order(medium rare) with a good portion of grilled onions and mushrooms. The fact that they were able to cook my beef tips medium rare was great, as most places will just do them medium well or worse. So with«OK» food, why am I giving it four stars? Several things: The seasonal vegetables side were FRESH vegetables sauteed — not mushy vegetables out of a Sysco bag. The salad that comes with every entrée was very good, and they accommodated my wish for Italian instead of the ranch that it normally comes with. You also get bread which appeared fresh as well. Lastly, the prices were very reasonable. Improvements I would like to see: The brown gravy could use more seasoning, as could the chicken fried steak breading. My 4 stars come down to the price/value proposition. If you were going to judge the food alone without considering the reasonable prices I might be more inclined to give it 3 stars. With some slight improvements it would be even better; maybe we just had an off night for seasoning as many other reviewers were happy. [ETA] Revising my rating down to 3 stars after I’ve had some time to think about it.

Cassie was our waitress and she was awesome. The food here was great, and you’re supporting local business, so your $$ stays here in town. I highly recommend this place for a casual dinner. It’s BYOB right now too, so it’s nice on the pocket book as well!

My family and I went to this restaurant last night around 8 o’clock. My step-father heard some really good things from a friend so he was eager to go. We were greeted at the door the moment we walked in and promptly seated. They have a cute atmosphere and home-style food. There is a lot to choose from on the menu for whatever mood you may be in. Beef, chicken, fish, shrimp… all prepared a variety of ways. My step-father and I got the chicken fried steak w/taters and fried okra. Everything was«spot-on.» My little brother got his usual hamburger. My mom had the fish sandwich. Everyone was extremely pleased with their meals and there wasn’t a single bite left on any of our plates. I know they have only been around a couple months but I am hoping to make this a regular spot for me. The staff was very friendly and the mother of the owner kept checking on us… She was very sweet and our waitress although still in training did an excellent job. I will be recommending this place to many friends.

Cute place, staff is very friendly! Food is very good… Chicken fried steak is literally a STEAK. They have a giant Texan burger that is to die for, great onion rings! I live right down the street from here, and I’ll go again for sure!!!

A good addition to the Pflugerville dining scene. The good: Cheerful atmosphere, friendly staff, with attractive shading patio for outside dining. GOODVALUEFORMONEY. Most of the entrees are in the 8.99 range, and that includes all-you-can-eat salad and two sides. We both had the beef tips, which were tasty and the portions were enormous. The not so good: Menu is way too ambitious/extensive for a place this size, so clearly they are relying on more pre-frozen ingredients than I’d like, and the green beans I had certainly bore that out. We’ll sure be back, and I hope they make it – Plugerville needs all the non-chain dining options it can get!

Supporting local. Good food. Huge Portions. Great prices for what you get. go. just go here. You won’t regret it. Found the place on Unilocal!was so thrilled i went by to see if they had to go menu’s. *bf has a weird schedule and we can only eat out on weekends. But Pflavor Town is close enough to pick up to go for his lunch hour. They didn’t have any. /sad. Annnnnnway. So, we head down on a Saturday evening. We are promptly greeted and seated. We check out the menu. We get a basket of free yum bread. Lots of good comfort food fare on the menu. Bf decides on the chicken fried steak and i choose the shrimp and grits. We order. A huge family style salad with an Italian vinaigrette arrives. It is also yum. We pass the time coloring on the butcher paper tablecloths and the crayons provided. We enjoy our time in the open and airy restaurant. Our hostess, as well as the owner comes to check on us while we wait. But not in a bad way. It is cool. Mains come. Everything is topped with a thick strip of bacon. My shrimp and grits? BACON! The bf’s chicken fried steak? BACON! and it’s good bacon! Everything was good. Very flavorful and fresh. i was happy. Truly they almost give you too much food. We took home leftovers and paid less than $ 25 bucks for 2 + tip. I’m down with that. I was very happy and will happily return. really should be 3.5 stars! Go Local! Go to Pflavor Town!

This was my first time here. I ordered the Greek salad add shrimp. It was around 10 $. I probably should have ordered a sandwhich. The only thing fresh in the salad was the head of lettuce. The string of onion was limp and tasteless. The cucumber wasn’t fresh nor was the tomato wedge. The Kalamata olives were not pitted. Big turn off watching people spit seeds onto a fork and pile them on a napkin. Gross. The staff were nice and polite. I truly believe they wan to succeed. I gave them a two star based on atmosphere, it was a little warm in there, and quality of salad. As for salads it was your typical over priced head of lettuce. Come on guys if I’m paying over 7 bucks for a salad please include veggies other than lettuce! Oh and onions are used for flavor, pflavor, not for limp decorations! Is there a shortage on veggies? To be fair to these guys I will try them out one more time but I won’t get the salad.

Very attentive staff — we were asked 4 separate times if there was something wrong when we didn’t finish the food. The food(burgers, fajitas) was fine. Not good, not bad. Have had better, have had worse. Nothing stood out on either side of the scale, Family friendly — crayons and paper tablecloths. Will I go back? Probably not, but if you’re starving and happen to be driving past, you could do worse.

First off… it’s Pflavor Town! Everything here in Pflugerville has to be spelled with a PF– prefix, of course :) That said, I came here with co-workers with lunch and it was almost empty. They had very reasonably priced lunch specials but I went with the Key West Chicken. The chicken itself was cooked perfectly, but the sauce it was served in was kind of… lumpy, almost like it was frozen and was thawed out incompletely to kind of a gelatinous texture. I scraped the sauce off and just ate the chicken. The tzatziki that came with the chicken was not like any I’ve had before, and unfortunately not in a good way. It was bland and again had a strange consistency. So… I’m left eating plain chicken breast, albeit good I wouldn’t pay 8+ bucks for it again. The highlight of the meal– the salad they brought out for the table prior to our entrees coming out– great garlicky ranch dressing and nice fresh green lettuce. Would I go again? If it wins by popular vote with the coworkers, maybe. But I’ll probably just get a salad and have them top it with chicken, which is basically what I ate anyway.

This family oriented venue is awesome with the colored butcher paper and a cup of crayons for the little ones to draw, to their tasty meals, and fast, cheerful service we got from Andi, our waitperson. I had the southern chicken fried steak,(scrumptious) with creamy smashed potatoes, nice portion by the way with a bacon flavored gravy, as opposed to the sausage gravy I usually get, nice little change there and their prices are very reasonable. FYI, effective next weekend, they will be doing breakfast Saturday/Sunday. Will definitely have to check that out. WELCOMETOPFLUGERVILLE!!! :)

Atmosphere and Cleanliness: Back for a second trip… A little slow on a Sunday Service: Greeted by a open door, service was great, had a high chair ready for our grand daughter. Food:(My last review I rambled on about Fresh/Homemade…wasn’t a hit for us this round).Again I have to say, you need Apps… Chips and Salsa, Queso, something… Wife had the Special, Open Roast Beef Sandwich… with Mash and corn… Corn is canned… The mash had a ChunK of hard potato mixed in… yet tasty… The roast was tuff and just fell short of what we expected from home made… I had the Grouper sandwich with Fries… Making this at home for myself with different types of fish, this was not there for me… seamed to lack LIGHT texture…(parfrozen?)…Bun was fresh, Veg was crisp… But still didn’t stand out… Worth the Adventure: Torn on the next one…
