Geiger’s Bakery of Mayfair

Called on Thursday for a 3D pumpkin cake and they said absolutely and had it ready by Saturday! Picked it up and it looked great. The cake not only looked great, it tasted amazing! Vanilla pound cake. Very reasonably priced as well! Half the price of other local bakeries. I will definitely be buying from here again, quick, extremely well done, and super delicious!

Products are good but the young girls that work there are very rude and look digusted when you walk on. They lost my business I will never go back because of the rude help

Amazing cakes!!! Not to mention how helpful the staff is. I’ve ordered at least 5 family birthday cakes over this past year. All ordered over the phone and only have them a theme yet every cake was amazingly decorated. The pound cake is to die for.

I ordered a cake for my daughter’s college graduation, featuring a scanned photo of the periodic table of the elements. It was beautifully decorated and tasted delicious. My daughter and her fellow science geeks loved it. We have ordered cakes from Geiger ’ s before and have never been disappointed.

If you want a delicious, reasonably priced, beautiful cake then go to Geiger’s! We’ve been getting our cakes here for years and they never disappoint. The employees are nice and the baker, Bob, is really helpful with making my cake visions come to life. Everyone at our parties is always impressed with the quality of their cakes. I would highly recommend Geiger’s!

I used Geigers for a birthday cake for my husband’s birthday party being held down the street. Bob was great and working with me on a custom cake and gave me exactly what I asked for! Everyone at the party loved the red velvet cake.

This was my first time stopping here since there is never anyplace to park on this block. A very clean and friendly place. I spoke with the person serving me for awhile before deciding on a couple donuts and a danish… The glazed donut was huge… I don’t think that I’ve ever had a raised donut before that was as big as it was and had a great taste. Nice first impression. I’ll stop again to buy either a cake or cheesecake.

I’m new to the NE Philly area and have wanted to try Geiger’s Bakery for a while and finally stopped in to pick up dessert for dinner @ a friend’s place. Very glad I did. We love German strudel and cakes, and we were not disappointed by Geiger’s offerings. The apple & raisin strudel and black forest cake were both delicious and we will be back to try some of their other goods. Very much worth checking out.

I have to admit I have only tried birthday cakes from here. This review is based solely on cake, not cookies or other baked goods. That being said their cake is gross. I will say that my niece’s cake for her birthday was a custom cake and it looked pretty good. But what good is a cake that looks good and tastes bad?

Not all bakeries can do everything well, umm. at least most of the time. We use Geigers because they are close to the house and generally speaking the stuff is good. I like the dinner rolls soft, light and flour on top. They go good with certain dishes and when the menu calls for them this is where I go.
Now for Easter I also picked up a cheese cake, one of my favorite desserts. I have been anticipating dessert since yesterday but, to my disappointment I found the cheesecake to be a bit dry and a little bland. I still like the bakery as a whole but will probably not pick up another cheesecake at Geigers. I think my problem is that my wife’s cheesecake is so awesome that it ruins me for any commercial bakery. Theres no way they can compete with her ingredients and still make money. Of course all I’m looking for is for the bakery to come close.
