Lock’s Philadelphia Gun Exchange

I initially hated this place the first time i went in. In the beginning they were rude and ignorant when i first came in asking them the steps when buying a gun from another person (not a shop). I didnt know what the steps are. Im a new gun owner/​licenced to carry. So my boyfriend bought me a gun through a friend and had it sent here to Locks. They misplaced the gun and told him they never received the gun. The gun had extra security and we tracked it and someone at the shop did indeed signed it. After a week «surprise» they found it. When i came in to register the gun a very nice guy name Will helped me out. Extremely helpful and ever so thorough, he is the reason why my boyfriend and I are back. Just came in last week and bought 2 more guns. Extremely excited. Wide range of guns from new old and used guns. 100% definitely will be back and will recommend to everyone to give this little gem a shot!

I am now two firearms in with Lock’s and I love these guys. Super knowledgeable and the stock is always full. Yeah, you may be able to get a great deal online, but what you can’t get is the great atmosphere set by the staff and even their customers. Saw the same customer in there twice so far and it was like seeing an old friend. Support this business!!!

I have purchased over the years several firearms and related equipment from this family owned store.
Always have had their knowledge, and experience assist me both in my sporting arms, and those for my law enforcement career.
Now retired, I hope to continue the relationship for as long possible.

Brought my firearm in for service and not only did they point out the issue but they didn’t charge me for the fix and offered some better alternatives. After running into some issues at the range they came recommended even before going to the manufacturer because of their turnaround. I highly recommend them for service and after looking at their inventory the rates are competitive. Put it like this, when their competition suggests them on the hush after they’re unable to diagnose the issue, you know they must be a good group.

Terrible gunsmith service!
Took a month for them to assemble an AR15 upper receiver and never called to tell me it was ready. Picked it up and found the muzzle brake was only finger tight. Seriously? Dangerous! Then when I asked them to fix it they acted like it wasn’t their problem and basically gave me a slew of «I don’t know». Besides that, they scratched the S*it out of the parts that I gave them. Now I still need to have someone install the brake, and send the receiver out to be refinished to fix all the scratches they put on it. I don’t know about buying guns there, but highly advise against using their gunsmith services.

Their prices on Glocks used to be the best in the city. Don’t know about now. Selection is decent if you’re looking for pistols and revolvers. Especially older models.
I’ve bought quite a few pistols and a rifle from Lock’s that I’ve been happy with. And pleased with their service. Will visit again.

ive been dealing with these guys for almost 25 years. knowledge of what you need to purchase the right firearm is always helpful, they dont try to push the big dollar item onto you like other places do
