Exceeds expectations! My grown sons and husband have purchased many suits here and always been pleased. My son said«I’ve never had ANYTHING fit me so perfectly.» Owner Brian Lipstein provides great advice and personalized service — plus makes the experience painless for the men who hate to shop(like my husband, who was thrilled with latest custom tux purchase). Biggest surprise — fast turnaround on custom shirts, too. Plus great selection of ties in house. We will be back! Soon…

Beware Big & Tall Guys! I had a suit custom-made here and was very unhappy with the results. At the time, I was a complete novice when it came to suits and men’s fashion, so I assumed my gut was wrong about the suit and they must know what they’re doing. But as I learned and read more, I realized that every basic rule for guys with thicker builds was ignored. The opposite of a flattering hand-made shirt was extremely wrinkle-prone and ill-fitting, the crotch of my pants was much too low, and the jacket sagged out in front. I’ve since been to an experienced tailor who was able to salvage the suit and confirmed that it was considerably flawed. That being said, it seems that from looking at this place’s other work, my feeling is that they do a great job on standard suits for average-sized men, but as a big-and-tall tailor(I was a 48R, 40W at the time of the process) I would look elsewhere.

Their customer service is excellent. I had another big name clothier screw up my measurements for a wedding and I had to get it redone last second. I spoke with Mike on the phone and he got me an appointment that day. He was extremely pleasant and treated me excellently with a professionalism second to none. The measurement was at no charge. I will definitely be recommending them to anyone needing a suit(they also do style consulting)!

I got my first suit from Henry A. Davidsen last summer to use for job interviews. Somehow in this economy I was able to get an entry-level advertising and marketing position, and we all know that in job interviews, the image you portray(enter beautiful, perfectly fitting custom suit!) is everything. From the minute you sit down on the comfy leather couches, to the hours Brian spent counseling me on the appropriate colors and patterns for interview suits that would compliment my features, the whole experience is exactly as advertised and does not disappoint. And from the perspective of a fashion-conscious woman, the sheer volume of fabric books for custom shirts, custom pants, and custom suits is fantastic and includes so many classics as well as trendier patterns, allowing for you to be as fashionable as you desire. It was one of the best shopping experiences I’ve ever had(and believe me, I’ve done my fair share of shopping), and I loved the fit so much that I came back this summer for more work clothes. I even ordered my lawyer father shirts from Henry A. Davidsen as a father’s day present, and he loves them so much(and my mom loves them on him) that not only is he switching from the brand he’s been wearing for 20 years, but he’s ordering pants as well. Overall, excellent. Highly recommend it. Pro’s: Excellent Quality, Great Customer Service, Relaxing, Variety of Fabrics and Styles
