A real disappointment. First time at Jimmy John’s. Uninspiring roast beef sandwich with only the tiniest amount of roast beef. Wawa has me spoiled, with their awesome subs.

Jimmy Johns is not a bad place if you want a quick sandwich. Not the best but not the worst. Rolls are really good. Service is fast. Down fall is hoagies are skimpy. I’d give it 3.5 stars. Employees need to turn the music down a bit.

Oh lord where to begin. I walk in this facility and I order 2BLT’s. I receive my order and find out the cashier charged me for extra cheese on both sandwiches and didn’t even get my order right. I got a #2 and a BLT. How could you even mess that up? On top of that her name was Mechelle. Can’t even spell your name right. No wonder why you’re working at a Jimmy Johns. Worst experience ever. Highly recommended that you don’t go here. They WILL mess up your order.

JJ’s has become one of my go-tos this year in my ongoing regression to college Ben. It’s fast, it’s pretty cheap, it’s markedly standardized and consistent from location to location, and it fills me up while not giving me that ridiculous I-want-to-die-because-what-did-I-just-do-to-my-body? feeling that fast(er) food gives. Top picks: Vito, Beach Club, Italian Night Club. Free hot peppers by request.

Jimmy John’s is a place that has soo much potential, but consistently under delivers. One example is I added Avocado for $ 0.75 to a sandwich, when I said they forgot it, the girl behind the counter pointed to this little spot of green and said that was my Avacado, I should have asked for $ 5.00 worth so I could actually taste it. On the plus side, the Tuba club was great, and the bread is fresh, sooo much better then Subway, but the cuts of deli meat are also sub par and often find something not right with it.

Today’s lunch was a hoagie, chips and soda… cost was $ 9. I wouldn’t mind paying that if I received anything other than a mostly bread sandwich. The lack of meat and cheese should embarrass them. I can’t even speak to how it tasted because it was so Spartan. I hope this was an anomaly, but not sure I’ll give them a second chance in order to find out.

Good food in Philly. Make all their own bread and rolls every day. That results in awesome sandwiches. Today we both had Totally Tuna, had cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce & avocado. It was an early appointment so by 10 am we were state restaurant and had ordered our Jimmy John’s! We were not disappointed. Very good. Made with perfection. Neat and the perfect amount of meat and toppings Always service with a smile and quick.

Jimmy John’s used to be a five star joint. However, in the recent years, they’ve lost a star because they no longer carry any alfafa sprouts. Their Turkey Toms were perfect with the alfafa sprouts. Now, Turkey Toms come with optional cucumbers. Not the perfect taste that I was so used to. Besides that, Jimmy John’s is always reliability fast. You can be in and out in literally 2 minutes, with sandwich in hand. Of course, when you go during peak hours, the wait might be about 5 minutes– not too shabby. The staff is also pretty cool. Don’t expect to get a seat outside during lunch hours at this location, however. Due to construction on CHOP’s Bueger Center, construction workers have taken over every single table/seat available outside during lunch. They’re friendly, but don’t expect to find an available seat.

So we heard so much about how great Jimmy John’s is that we decided to give them a go last night. We used the website to order which was easy to use for the most part. We picked up the sandwiches and chowed down. Gotta say I was kinda disappointed with our sandwiches, we ordered 3 of the regular sized ones. I got the totally tuna, my roomies got the vito and the turkey tom. There was barely anything on them to start, little filling and they were dry and kind of flavorless, all three of us were totally bummed out because we kept hearing they were all the rage but IMHOP they are totally overrated and I can only assume that the people raving about them never had a real hoagie/sandwich before. They did have good pickles and chips, but that was it. Maybe it was an off night and I should try another location but until then I think maybe we’ll pass on this one.

Nice sandwich shop on Penn’s campus. There are basically 2 people taking your order. One person enters your request into the computer while a second person is making the sandwich literally as you state the ingredients you want so by the time you finish your order the sandwich is ready and handed over to you. Thought this was a neat concept. I like the Bootlegger.

STAYAWAY. Besides the fact this place is clearly overpriced i saw and employee drop food on the ground and the proceeded to RE-USEIT!!! Then the icing on the cake was i told the manager and he gave me an attitude and walked away. Crappy staff, crappy management & crappy prices. Save yourself and walk a few more steps to the Philly Pretzel Factory or take ur chances with floor food.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would… Jimmy John’s has some of the BEST sandwiches I have ever had. They use fresh bread and condiments to make the perfect sandwich. My favorite is the Turkey Tom: so simple yet so delicious. This location is in University City; conveniently located across the street from CHOP. I just wish we had a Jimmy John’s in the North Jersey area where I live. The closest one to home is in New Brunswick which happens to be the ONLY Jimmy John’s in NJ. SUCKS!!! just like the crap they serve at Subway and Blimpies around here.

There is another Jimmy John’s in University City! I had no idea… Yesterday, the lunchtime line at Potbelly was so long that we decided to go somewhere else. In comparison to that, this Jimmy John’s was surprisingly empty. In fact, Jimmy John’s is the kind of franchise which I find surprisingly underrated. Whenever I go to one, it’s almost empty and I am the only person who orders something. Perhaps that is because the sandwiches come out very fast, but even so it’s a little strange to be in restaurants where the employees outnumber the customers at almost all times. I find their sandwiches to be almost perfect. The ingredients are very fresh, the sauces are very good, and there is a reason as to why they call themselves«Gourmet Sandwiches» even if it’s not Michelin-star-level. I especially like that the sandwiches are untoasted(admittedly this is a personal preference). The only thing I personally dislike about Jimmy John’s is the bread itself, which has the perfect consistency but tastes a little bland. This Jimmy John’s will certainly become my new to-go place when I forgot my cash at home or on weekends.

Thank you for being open on the weekends! Your hardworking staff feeds many of us who have to work upstairs in the lab on weekends, when all other shops around the hospital are closed.
