Wholly Cow Chocolates

Has a huge selection of chocolates/​candies at solid prices (particularly compared to Artisserie Chocolate on Walnut – the only other place nearby). Only downside for me is their buttercream chocolates are very heavy on the butter to the exclusion of any other flavor (I could barely taste any coconut in my coconut buttercream and was only sure they gave me the correct chocolate due to the unique coconut texture). Still, a good selection with a convenient location makes this a place I’ll definitely return to (particularly for their dark chocolate covered jumbo marshmallows – yum!)

In the ultimate salty and sweet combination, please direct thyself to the shops thoughtfully paired at 3400 Civic Center Blvd, across from the Childrens Hospital of Pennsylvania (CHOP) and right next to the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine (PCAM). On one side you will observe with marked salivation, The Philly Soft Pretzel Factory with its green signs directing you to go right ahead and eat a couple of hot dogs wrapped in soft pretzel. Turn your head to the left and your pupils will enlarge with happiness as you see Ben & Jerry’s Wholly Cow Chocolates– where Ben & Jerry’s ice cream can be spooned and chocolate creations such as oreos dunked in milk chocolate and covered with M&Ms can be happily purchased. This winning combination will surely assuage both patients and healthcare workers alike.
I myself greedily snatched up the chocolate covered gummy bears in the rows of bins of candies. Keep your children away, but lead your diabetic friends kindly to the sugar free bins.
