Excellent customer service, they have a really good collection and both the saleswomen I interacted with were really sweet and considerate. Its rare to find such understandings stores

Be elitist if you want, but this is actually a really nice store. The shoes are well organized and they carry lots of big and small sizes. Both the guy working the floor and the cashier were friendly and helpful above and beyond what they had to be. I needed a pair of inexpensive shoes in a hurry, and having them all right there for self service made it possible for me to get in and out with no problem at all. Also, the cheapness works in your favor if you don’t want to wear leather, since many styles are imitation.

This location is right next to Liberty Place. It’s a pretty small store. It can get a little too crowded when the 9−5ers go on lunch break. While the 9−5ers are working, though, it’s nice and empty. Payless copies the latest trends, whatever they may be. The shoes that they sell for women are very hit or miss in terms of look and fit. Sometimes they nail a style & sometimes they fall flat on their faces. Over the past couple years, they’ve put out some very cute flats, for example. They’ve also produced some very disturbing boots and heels. I’ve found that you can usually count on the heels in the Fioni line being painfully uncomfortable, but I have a pretty low threshold for pain. It’s always fun to come here with my mom who is a Fashionista. If we pass a Payless, we like to come inside and laugh at all the horrible shoes that should never have made it past the design phase. That said, I have a couple of pairs that I LOVE& sorely wish I’d gotten 2 pairs of.

Like J.K. says, can get WAY too crowded on Sunday afternoons. When I was little, I caught all kinds of grief on the playground because my mom bought my shoes at payless — it was when everyone was wearing L.A. Lights; mine looked so obviously bogus. Despite emotional wounds — just recently have they begun to heal — I find myself shopping again at the PayLess. But now it’s different, see: I’m hip cause I’m poor. Seriously, though: go to the PL for a pair of spares for yourself, but don’t put your kids through that misery.
