Love, love, love this shop! The mission is fantastic(eco friendly down to the cardboard hangers), most of the clothes are original designs with limited runs, and the fashions are trendy yet comfortable. I like to think I strike a happy balance between saving and splurging, and my first trip to SAVA was no exception. The sales associate was knowledgeable and laid back, attentive yet not pushy. She let me browse on my own, but also helpfully presented some pieces of interest. I picked up a pair of black pants — and I hesitate to use the word jeggings — let’s just say these black beauties fit like a glove but are more substantial & tailored than a legging. I also scored a high waisted pair of slinky gray pants for $ 39 from the second floor sale room. I wouldn’t be doing the store any justice if I didn’t mention this gorgeous tunic length, multi-colored textural vest. Words cannot describe! Sadly this gorgeous statement piece didn’t fit my budget today, but back off ladies(there are only three!!), I am already justifying a repeat trip.

I recently have been doing that update my wardrobe because its getting warmer thing, and I’ve found that quite a few of my favorite pieces are from SAVA. High on the list: –a white silk cowl neck top, which despite white usually making me look washed out, looks totally awesome –a very long black skirt that I’ve worn as a dress, a beach coverup, and a skirt –one awesome greyish purple wrap sweater that I’ve been living in –and a bunch of tank tops, because I wear those all the time, in some very bright colors I’ve also picked up a couple of accessories, and a great dress from Stacia(not the SAVA label). I really appreciate the option of shopping local and for sustainable clothing, AND that everyone in the store is super friendly and helpful. Things are perhaps more then at some of the big chains, but I appreciate knowing that I’m supporting a local business and knowing that I’m not wearing the exact same thing as everyone else. Definitely check it out!

I first happened upon SAVA about a year ago. I know next to nothing about women’s fashion, but I do understand a store that was born and raised in Philadelphia, provides great customer service and yes, produces sensible and sustainable clothing. This is what I like so much about SAVA. I don’t spend much time here, nor do I shop here often. When I have, my experiences have been nothing less than stellar. The staff is friendly, informative and always willing to assist and answer my silly(and mostly uninformed) questions. When I have brought women here to look around, they always comment on the originality of the designs and always end up either purchasing or making mental notes of stuff to buy. Kind of like what I do in a kitchen store. I think Philadelphia needs more institutions like this one.

Love the idea of this boutique: Clothes made in Philadelphia with sustainability in mind. They have limited runs of each design. After browsing several times, I bought a beautiful teal long cardigan sweater(washable) with pockets and a charcoal brown belt using 20% discount coupon I scored earlier. These are investment pieces I will happily layer for years.

I am split on Sa Va — I like some of the designs and want to support sustainable sources for clothing, but I just haven’t found anything I actually WANT to buy here. Fun to browse though — and when I see it — I’ll snatch it up. And I thought the owner was very nice. They are right near UrbanFront Pilates — so I hit them up on my way to or from class.

I changed my original review from two to three stars. The owners contacted me and told me to give them design suggestions. Like I’m a clothing designer? They did fix the hanger situation. Can y’all stop freaking about my ONE review. Unilocal is about personal experiences. This was mine. Not everyone likes the same thing.
