No. Just… no. Give this place a wide birth. I met my girlfriend for a late breakfast here a couple of weeks ago since I’m a fan of the cozy old-school diners, and when we sat down at the counter(the only place to sit in the restaurant) we realized that we were sandwiched between a drunk trying to sober up and a woman talking to herself. Its dirty, cramped, and just generally unpleasant to be in. Go over to Midtown on 18th for a much better establishment and experience.

The only thing scarier then John Teavolta’s hairline, is this place! We popped in here for a fast burger after a trip to Penn’s Landing and were mortified! The place is a total dive that creeped me out big time! Stains on the ceiling, old crooked paintings and a bathroom with a key are just a few things you can look forward to here. Be forewarned! The staff here are trashy & the food was greasy garbage! No clue how this place passed it’s health inspection! YIKES!!!

I stopped in here for lunch, attracted by the old school counter and the promise of a 3 $ milkshake. I ordered a cheeseburger with grilled onions, lettuce and tomato, and a black and white milkshake. The milkshake was hand scooped and whipped up on a real milk shake mixer, and was possibly the best milkshake I have had in Philadelphia. Perfect consistency and temperature, and it stayed that way till the last drop thanks to a styrofoam cup. The burger was pretty good. Old school fast food, nice and greasy, with a pile of iceberg on top, served too hot to even pick up right away. Served with some fries, and although I’m not a huge french fry eater I enjoyed them. About 8.50 $ for a whole meal, I would probably return for a milkshake, and maybe stop in for a cheap breakfast. For lunch or dinner, I don’t think I will return considering the number of excellent little restaurants in the area.

Excellent for picking up a water ice on the way to Rittenhouse Square. There’s always a cart outside during summer, except they close sometime before the evening rush hour.

I was running some errands in town and I had to wait for another shop to open so I went in here to grab somat to eat. I don’t know how to review a ham egg and cheese sandwich except to say that shit didn’t kill me so it was cool. It’s a counter with about 10 seats and you sit and wait for your food and chow down. They do a lot of take out and delivery for the businesses but it seems like the crowd inside were all Philly locals/natives. I did enjoy sitting on the counter with locals and watching people with fancy jobs come in and leave straight away.

Okay breakfast joint which seems completely out-of-place on that corner. I’ve stopped in for pancakes & scrapple(no complaints) as well as french toast(not very good), both of which were dirt cheap. One day I’ll come back for the«$ 3.00 + TAX» milkshake advertised in the window since they have an actual milkshake maker. Not bad but nothing special. I wouldn’t be heartbroken if I went to grab a no-frills breakfast one day and found they had closed shop. That kind of thing.

Why no love for Snow White? If you’re in the mood for a tasty grease burger, a thick black and white shake, and crisp and tender fries(as I often am), this is your best bet in Center City. It’s no frills and rough around the edges(and rough everywhere else too), but the food is great and the atmosphere is a throwback to a time where transfats were unheard of and uncared about and people ate with no concern for life, limb, or cardiovascular health.

This place is kinda creepy. It’s a luncheonette style counter and serves greasy burgers and junky-cheap lunch food. I went here exactly once and will never return. I am tempted to give 1 star, due to the nasty-creepy-skeevy vibe, but I feel kinda generous today so I will give 2 stars. Food was just Meh.(But it is very inexpensive and quick.)
