Amazing raspberry/brie croissant! Such wonderful hospitality and friendly service. Will definitely be back soon.

We got a chocolate croissant and raspberry brie croissant. They tasted awesome! But the people who worked there looked like they would do anything to leave. They were unfriendly.

Simply the best. I’m a transplanted New Yorker living in Philadelphia. Little Bird is one reason I’ll never leave. The second reason is I’m now a willing ‘victim.’ «The evidence, Your Honor:» The baguettes The oatmeal raisin cookies The ‘Tastykake’ cake(peanut butter, angel cake, chocolate covering) The ‘Ferrero Rocher’ cake(hazelnut cream) The pretzels «Has the jury reached a verdict?» «Yes we have, Your Honor.» «Sinfully guilty, as charged! Oh… my…God. Simply the best!»

Not worth the trip over the bridge. Watched Philly FYI and suggested to stop in. The croissants where over baked and I asked the women if she is the baker, she stated sometimes, I bought them anyway along with some brownies and an apple dumpling. Well the croissants are over baked and not flaky and buttery and the brownies are bricks, what happened to crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. I don’t think this bakery and bakery only not a café will be there long, it’s a shame because I love to support small businesses but when they are good!

This review is from beyond the grave, as I have just finished the chocolate croissant, perfectly dusted with powdered sugar, generously handed with rich chocolate morsels, equal parts chewy and soft, the heartiness of a bread and the sweetness and suppleness of a cake dancing a perfect pas de deux on my palate, the delicateness of its kin from a Parisian street cart gently sparring with the bravado and heartiness of a creation that could only be borne of an American kitchen, and thus, reasoning that nothing more could possibly exceed this moment in the living realm, I have absconded. Not, but seriously. That is a damn good croissant… and I am at least somewhat ruined. I will be back.

Just what we needed in Society Hill a place to buy good bread. Everything is great here.

This place makes hands down the best croissants I’ve ever had. I treat myself sometimes on my walk to work and it totally makes my day. Try the bacon filled, oh my god.

Nested at the corner of 5th and Gaskill, Chef Jessica’s charming bakery+café boasts an impressive menu and plenty of windows(I’m envisioning gorgeous«Chocolat”-esque displays to tempt us all). Every dessert she makes is delicious(Brauhaus/Whetstone), and I was excited to try these goodies! * Croissants — light, flaky, buttery awesome! * Chocolate Pretzel Bread Pudding — sweet, salty, bready, creamy — textural delight! * Cheddar Garlic Biscuits — forget Red Lobster! So much self-control to not eat all of these. * Pumpkin Cheesecake — light, creamy, pumpkin-y, I don’t care for pumpkin, but I love this! Delicious. All of these. I don’t care much for pumpkin, yet I went back for a second taste! Euphoric with dessert-y bliss, I found a seat to finish my wine … but wait, what’s on the café table?! * Mini Pumpkin-Cream Whoopie Pies — the more festive, seasonal cousin of the original! * Toffee-Chocolate Blondies — *chew* sweet chocolate *chew* crunchy toffee *mmm* * Dark Chocolate Dipped Coconut Macaroons — last bite, I swear! Divine! Paninis may be a lunch option in the near future, and a few test batches were offered tonight — I loved both sweet(fluffernutter!) and savory(turkey bacon!). More varieties magically appeared throughout the event, but I was already testing the limits of my stretchy pants. I’ve had outstanding desserts at various bakeries and restaurants, but never have I had so many fantastic bites in one spot! If this stellar spread is but a mere peek of future glory, my waistline will definitely be in trouble. Take wing and visit soon! Note: limited photos for now — grand opening 11/16/2015
