Worst Wendy’s on the face of the planet. Now I’m a pretty simple man. There are few things I enjoy in this world… Drinkin Twisted Teas on the boat, swiping out of work, finding a clever jenga block, and a medium chocolate Frosty. This Wendy’s can’t even handle the frosty. I frequent this Wendy’s far to much because, well, I’m a frosty addict. If there was another Wendy’s within 2 miles of me I would hike there barefoot and risk contracting HepC just to avoid this dump. Let’s start with the appearance; trash everywhere. Looks worse than the sidewalks in Chinatown on a Wednesday night(if you don’t know what I mean please go check it out). These workers could be defined more correctly as «standers.» There’s always a line of 6 people or more because it’s a populated area and the hospital engulfs this place. There’s also always 4 – 5 standers behind the counter, but do they open up more than 1 register? No. That would require them to work. Instead, 1 person reluctantly takes your order, then that same person slowly fills the fries and waits for the burger to be made. They don’t take another order until that person has all their food. Meanwhile the other 4 workers just stand there. This isn’t me witnessing and reporting 1 bad day, this is every time I’m at this location. The customers here are also the pits of the word. I get it’s a Wendy’s in Philadephia, but most people are so cracked out they fall asleep at their table immersing their dirty faces in their half ingested mustard lined buns. They need to be shooed away. Now, to the frosty. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know how to pour a frosty but it’s apparently too much for this crew of standers to handle. These people swirl the cup around in a circle motion under the ice cream dispenser as if it’s an ice cream cone. Now every time I get my frosty it’s freakin hollow in the center. Who the heck wants a hollow frosty? This isn’t a Lint chocolate Easter bunny. Will I continue to get Frosties here multiple times a week? Yes. I can’t help my illness. But hate myself every time I need a choco frosty fix and it’s only because of THIS Wendy’s. RIP Dave Thomas. I know you would make this right.

Worst Wendy’s EVER. Ate here once and got norovirus. Means that someone pooped, did not wash hands, and served me food. Never again! I’d rather eat a hoagie from the sidewalk that someone tossed out of a moving vehicle. Also, when the person sitting next to you rolls all of their possessions into said restaurant in a suitcase with wheels, it’s time to leave.

Only bc of DENISE!!! such speedy, yet cheerful and polite service! Is she a manager? If not, I would recommend evaluating her for such positions…

Improvements made in a few areas: counter staff friendlier, double checks. Manager present, and very friendly and on top of things. Temperature of foods past two visits has improved(probably manager’s presence helped). If they stay more consistent, I will give them by business before Cosi, since Cosi gets $ 6 for a cup of chili no crackers, and it’s $ 2 here with crackers.

All what I’ll say is that they have some of the RUDEST employees I ever encountered! Nothing else really matters. ZERO Unilocal

The term fast food should never be uttered in this restaurant. 15 min for a simple meal without any extras. Disgrace to have the Wendy’s logo which otherwise is the best fast food in the country.

Strange in that I walked up at 2a and even though it stated closing hours of 2a on the door, the workers didn’t seem to mind and welcomed me in. They were all polite and accommodating… at that late hour, that’s fantastic. I got a chicken sandwich, a salad and some fries. The fries were done fresh for me and were super delicious. Also, they had already began cleaning, so the place was clean and stocked as well!

Just don’t! Don’t do it! Go next door to Five Guys. This has got to be the worst Wendy’s I have ever been to. The staff seem to be perpetually confused, basic math is beyond them and glaciers move faster. It is a crap shoot as to quality — might get crispy fries and soggy burger this time, next time it might be overcooked burger and soggy fries. Let’s leave the sodas and dried out bacon off the discussion list. Wait time is also another crap shoot — some lunch hours it is a few minutes, like they were prepared and others like a total shock«someone ordered something???» The dining room is usually pretty clean even with the homeless who camp out at certain tables nursing a small burger. The bathrooms are a nightmare. I often wonder if management from corporate ever visits this store, in the many years I have been stopping in here(usually twice a year at most since I don’t eat fat food much) there has been no improvement, other than the employees. For about the same price go next door to Five Guys — the burgers may be about the same quality but the selection of toppings and the always crispy fries put this poor excuse for a burger joint to shame. And, for those who care, Five Guys has free refills!

Stressed out over my impending midterm, I wanted greasy comforting fast food for lunch(I also needed something quick so I could get back to cramming). This Wendy’s is directly across from Jefferson Hospital so I ran on over. The food here isn’t on par with other Wendy’s I’ve been to in Jersey. It was dry nuggets, soggy fries, and over seltzered soda. The countertop looked like it had been freshly wiped, however it looks like it was wiped with a dirty or greasy rag, leaving streaks of grime on the counters. On the positive side, the staff was friendly and got me in and out quickly and with a smile. But their friendliness probably won’t bring me back again.

As the other reviews reflect, this is one of the most run down travesties of a Wendy’s most of us will(hesitatingly) step foot in. The food is a 50⁄50 shot that you’ll end up with what you order. The staff is surly and burned out from having to deal with the myriads of homeless and drunks that wander through at all times of the day. Cleanliness would be possible with a match and some gasoline, but short of that be prepared for the skeeve factor.

Don’t get me wrong, I love fast food, I even love fast food that’s open late even more. But this Wendy’s is all outta whack. Almost every single time that I forget to double check my order, there’s something missing, or they messed my order up. It a lose-lose situation for me because not only do I not get what I ordered, but then I get lectured by my boyfriend. The service is slow, the workers are rude, and the food is sometimes but not always extra extra crispy.(& not in a good way)

Talk about slow service. Do they even know the meaning of fast food? If you go into this Wendy’s expect long lines, over worked and unfriendly staff, as well as food that’s sub par even for fast food.

This Wendy’s cuts out the middle man. Instead of you buying food, eating it there, running your errands or maybe going back to work then going house and taking a nice healthy poop(or whatever you call it), the place looks and smells so much like a bathroom that you can do both at the same time lol. Hell you dont even need to make it to the bathroom, from the looks of the mob bucket they just recycle the bathroom water to mop the dining area. Seriously its is THAT gross, seriously it smells that bad at times. Oh dear god, dont go during the summer where the heat plays composer to the symphony of new disturbingly bad smells that permeate through the walls of the place… essence of «urinal cake»?? that doesn’t cover it(i know if you are near Chinatown its fairly common place). And the staff though charmingly ghetto is just awful. I understand you that hate your job but dont let that affect out eating or in this case eating/breathing experience. Slow service to the point where it defeats the meaning of FASTFOOD. They are always out of something from nuggets to even specific buns for a particular burger… makes no sense. If you turn the corner and walk a block NYPD pizza is there if you need fast food. Moriarty’s across the street top tomato on the same side if you aren’t in that much of a rush. If you are in the mood for a burger then hold your breath, go to Wendys but TAKEITTOGO…

Oy my first one star review… but I think it deserves it… The bathroom was disgusting. It smelled and the sink was full of hair. The soap pump was broken so I don’t know how the employees go to the bathroom and wash their hands like they’re supposed to! And their fries were stale. And I love fries. But that may be because it was 12:30am and they close at 1am. Regardless, gross overall! I hope they fix it up!

Perhaps one of the WORST Wendy’s ever by sheer fact that the staff working here are illiterate, innumerate and just plain rude. I came in here Friday evening to buy a kids meal for my 4 year old(the only reason I’d even venture in — as I don’t «do» much fast food.) We ordered a chicken sandwich, mandarin oranges(instead of fries) and a lowfat milk. They left out the milk!(Grrrr.) So I went trudging back and was given the milk — what a pain. Unless your 4 year old MAKES you come here — don’t bother!

The first time I went to this Wendy’s location, the Foot Locker across the street was held up at gunpoint as I was leaving. It was this huge spectacle and one of my first experiences in Philly. When it comes to fast food, out of the big 3 I’m going to have to pick Wendy’s. Their fries are the best and there is recognizable chicken in the chicken sandwiches. This location leaves a bit to be desired, though. The dining area is usually quite dirty, I’d recommend taking your food to go. Also, the employees are particularly surly. Although I do find it kind of funny that when they call you up to the register they say, «can I have the next cust» as if some efficiency consultant removed the last two syllables of the word«customer.» But I don’t like to have my food thrown at me, thank you very much.

The food is much worse than a typical Wendy’s. Sandwiches are always cold and look like they’ve been sat on. Fries are underdone and soggy. Salads, usually a Wendy’s highlight, are dreadful. The final straw is that there’s a fight in this place at least half the times I’ve been there, and it’s usually involving at least one employee. If you are visiting someone at the hospital and need a quick greasy meal to keep your spirits up, go down the street to Pandora’s Box. *They* know how to do burgers and fries *right*. INSUMMARY Food freshness: below average Order accuracy: average Overall staff attitude: abysmal Cleanliness of dining area: poor Cleanliness of bathrooms: really poor Refills on drinks: nope Condiments, napkins, utensils: you have to ask for condiments, but the rest are out in the open Kid’s play area: no. Good lord, don’t even bring your kids IN here. Drive-through: no
