I would not use this firm for a service call based on past negative experience. They are abrupt & sometimes arrogant. Too many options available to put up with the attitude.

Bought a pool cleaner from this store in June 2015. The diaphram tore and the extension rod cracked. Took it in and was replaced immediatedly but Brandon at the store gave a lot of advice on how to calibrate the cleaner and maintain it. I went to the store because my son in law had good experince with them. He is right. These guys at the store are superb. They have patience, are friendly and give you a good quality advice… free. Thanks.

These guys are TOPNOTCH! We have had B&L do all of our«non-weekly service» pool maintenance items. The knowledge of the staff is fantastic. They never hesitate to spend time on the phone or in person explaining things. I took something in that need repair and the gentleman got the part and fixed it right in front of me. He proceeded to charge me for the part and no labor. Happy and loyal customer here!

The store is great, with knowledgable people who give sound pool advice. We buy all of our pool supplies from the Cave Creek location. Their cleaning service is another thing. I called for a one time cleaning and was blown off three days in a row. I had a guest coming for some pool time and our plans were ruined. I can see canceling one day, but three in a row??? Had I known, I would’ve made other arrangements with another pool cleaning company. This has been a huge disappointment.

Scheduled a hot tub repair. They were timely in responding. Came to my house as scheduled; properly diagnosed the problem, and the repair cost was fair. I’d just have to mention that their service call desk receptionist could be a tad bit more personable and responsive.

The store we go to has decent service and knowledgeable staff, which is why they get 2 stars. I scheduled a repair visit for my pool equipment. The guy called me the night before to confirm the time. The next day I went home from work and waited at the time he said he would be there. An hour later he did not call or show up, so I went back to work. He finally called 2 hours later and said he was at my house. I asked why he didn’t show up at the schedule time and he just said he thought I said anytime in the afternoon. Thanks for wasting my time. I ended up going with a different company to get the repairs done.

The only reason we called B&L was because they were an authorized repair shop for a component that was under warranty on our pool. B&L refused to honor the warranty and charged us over $ 440 for the repair. After 11 months, the part they replaced is broken again and they are indicating that they will not honor the warranty and the new part is not covered either so we will have to pay $ 440 again to get it fixed I am sure that they do not make much if any money on warranty repairs but they were able to sucker us once out of a lot of money. I will not make that mistake again.

Always get my water tested here. Extremely accurate and staff is knowledgeable. I was recommended by a pool guy and haven’t gone anywhere else since. There is tons of places closer but I’m willing to make the extra trip to get an accurate water test. So much better than going to Leslie’s who always seem to find something I need to buy to maintain my pool chemicals. These guys are great and honest. Thanks tom and the rest of the team for shooting me straight. Makes owning a pool so much easier.

WORSTSERVICEEVER! The service is OK in the store, but NEVER call them for a repair! You probably will find something better in Craiglist. Repair department is really unprofessional and unfriendly, their priority is send you a bill instead of customer satisfaction. You will find other reviews here stating the same, so save some time and money and call somebody else for repairs and try Costco or Online stores for supplies.

AWESOME! The pool at a house my son just bought had turned green thanks to the former owners not paying their bills and the power was shut off over a week before closing. The plaster also appeared to be badly stained. I took a water sample to «Podunk Pools» and they advised I should«just keep adding shock» until the water cleared up. We threw bags of shock at it, and liquid chlorine, and algae killers, but NOLUCK!!! I thought we were in for a draining and acid wash. I took a water sample to the guys at B & L on Cave Creek and they explained in detail the process we needed to do to resolve the problem. We did what they advised and over a period of 5 days — with a water test every day — got the pool looking sparkling clean. «Podunk Pools» tested the water using one of those little test strips where you have to match the colors. B & L put the water through a series of 6 different tests each time I took a sample in to them. THANKYOUCLINTAT B & L POOLS!!!

I have used B&L Pools over the past year and have been really unhappy with my service almost the entire time. I just couldn’t find anyone else to handle my needs so I felt stuck with them. The regular guy who serviced the pool was very unfriendly, and would actually yell at me over the phone about leaving the pump on too long or having to move the trash can out of the way of the fence. Really unprofessional, rude, and inappropriate. I’m a paying customer. Treat me with respect. On at least 3 occasions he let the dogs into the pool area and just left them there vs. making sure they were locked back behind the gate on the side yard(I have a doggie door that lets out into a runway enclosed by the gate you open to get into the pool area.) My dogs cannot swim(fat little pugs) so if they would have gotten in the pool, they would have drowned. They are like my children and there was no respect for their safety. I paid $ 100 for weekly service. This means $ 25 a pop and it is supposed to cover cleaning and chemicals. The last time he came he was there for 3 minutes, didn’t even test the water, and brushed for about 15 seconds. No backwash. No chemicals. This is pretty consistent. When the catch was emptied, he left pine needles all over the yard that inevitably will just fall back in the pool. The pool was never scrubbed, brushed, skimmed, or manually vacuumed, so I had to spend another $ 19/month to rent an automatic vacuum(that works poorly) just so the pool would get cleaned. Overall, B&L did not provide a positive experience for me and gave lackluster service. I would not recommend getting pool service from this company.
